They were punctual, professional, and did great work.

They arrived each morning on time, took them 3 days, cleaned up each day, The job was done fantastically, very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased.

This is the 2nd and not the last time I will use Chimney Specialists. The first was for an inspection after the install of a new woodstove and chimney. Then... about the end of February, our CO alarm went off and we noticed smoke coming from the chimney collar at the stove. After opening the house, evacuating and letting the fire die, we left a message (Sunday). They called Monday morning and even though they were booked, were able to come out later in the day. The same 2 techs that came for the inspection months earlier were the ones to arrive and get to quick work. They were always professional and nice and kept a messy job clean. They identified the problem as a 100% obstructed spark screen and recommended we check it and clean it every few months during burn season (an easy task for us to do). Our stove and chimney were in great shape and had minimal build-up. They recommended a next cleaning time and gave us great tips on how to easily clean the spark screen.

I called a few chimney businesses and decided on Chimney Specialists based on their availability and Angie's List recommendation. The crew quickly determined that a seam atop the chimney had eroded and needed to be re-sealed. I was shown a couple photos of my chimney that showed where the problem was. Without my asking, they also checked the second chimney and determined that seal should also be replaced before it, too, started leaking. We have had several good rain storms since the work was done and I am happy to report all is dry. Other than the price, which I felt was a bit high for the job, I am very pleased with the service this company provided.

We had not used this wood stove since we moved into our house. Knowing the "interesting" state of the electrical at the time of move-in, we knew we needed an inspection before we used this stove. We were not wrong to do so. The Chimney Specialist crew was very friendly and helpful and they were quick to identify and correct issues that they found with the chimney. They provided guidance on future use as well. They were very courteous and I would welcome them into my home again, which they kept clean throughout the cleaning process.

I originally called them to clean chimney and while they were doing that they noticed it needed a new damper and a few other repairs which they scheduled for the next morning. They were professional, on-time, efficient and did a great job.

Started by calling the main office to get info and make an appointment. The lady on the phone was extremely nice and made the process quick and smooth. They were able to accommodate my appointment within a couple days of calling which was key as I was on a tight time frame. My main reason for getting the chimney cleaned was due to a pending installation of a gas fireplace insert. The installer of the insert highly recommended I have the chimney cleaned first to reduce any mess, but also prevent any possible complications (chimney fires are serious). The two man crew arrived the morning of the appointment as scheduled. Very nice guys and easy to talk with. They worked quickly and obviously knew what they were doing. After chatting for a minute with them I learned the company was founded in 1978, and one guy had been there 13 years and the other 7 years. One thing I really appreciated was they volunteer some general maintenance tips about the outside of my fireplace bricks. My fireplace was built in 1976 along with the house and the bricks used are no longer available. It will be key to keep these in good condition. Payment was easy by credit card, and away they went.

Arrived on time. Inspected the crown of the chimney for leaks and installed a new chimney cap. Quick and easy.

They came out while I was at work. By the time I got home, the job was done and all cleaned up. Looks good, both chimneys no longer have crumbling mortar, and looked clean and solid. They were on time and on budget.

I am completely satisfied with their service. I'm not sure about price simply because I didn't shop around, but it seemed reasonable considering the work involved. They verbally expressed a lifetime commitment from a warranty perspective too. I will do business with them again and I recommend them to anyone looking for chimney inspection and cleaning.

Received a call a day after sending a request for callback on their website. Was able to schedule a crew for the next weekend in a two hour block with a call ahead 30 minutes before they would arrive. Received a confirmation call the day before scheduled service. Day of, I recieved a phone call from the crew almost exactly 30 minutes prior to them arriving at my door. They removed shoes and brought in canvas tarps to keep the mess to a minimum. Quickly inspected both fireplaces and the chimney and went over some tips on use of an exterior wall fireplace and how the smoke would flow with this particular set. Answered all questions and provided report in less then 30 minutes.

There was no mess left behind. I am more than satisfied with the work done by The Chimney Specialists.

The servicemen were professional and respectful, especially considering they were clearly dealing with someone that had no prior knowledge on using a fireplace. They were able to get the repair work scheduled within a reasonable amount of time from the initial inspection. Since this is my first home, they also gave me a tutorial on using the fireplace and tips for maintenance.

I was given a two hour window for their arrival and that Colin would be the specialist that would come. Colin called when they knew they would be here closer to the later part of the time frame-which was so appreciated so I wouldn't wait on pins & needles for two hours. When they arrived Colin introduced himself and they got to work right away. Both young men were polite and friendly and efficient. They found that I need a spark screen because the one we have won't close fully and explained we could just get a tri-fold screen. I had concerns about the glass doors not closing fully and they checked that out for me. They were great and I would recommend The Chimney Specialist to everyone.

The guys showed up on time and got to work right a way. They walked me around and explained all the issues I had and provided solutions to them. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Would recommend them to anyone.
