They arrived right at the beginning of the time slot. They repaired all three crowns with new mortar, then sealed them plus the top crown. They wire brushed the chimney and applied a sealant on the whole chimney. Since I did not obtain any other bids for this work, I have no idea how good or bad the price is, thus the B grade for price. They have done prior work for me and have cleaned my chimney for years so I trust them. Workers were friendly and polite and cleaned everything up when they were done.

The vendor recommending replacing cap and sealing the brick. They performed the work with little or no impact on the leak. When I called back, the repeated the sealing. Again, little or no effect. The third time they recommended I call a "water leak specialist". I hired the vendor to stop the leak. They did not stop the leak, but were happy to charge for the work they did.

They showed up, did the repair, swept the chimney, and were on their way. Great job.

Jud and team were extremely professional and set proper expectations that since this was an outdoor job, we would need to "play it by ear" in terms of weather. We scheduled the repairs and got the reminder call a couple days prior that everything was a "go". Everything was completed on time and per the scope of work. I would highly recommend The Chimney Specialists and would use them again to service our other rental homes.

It went great. It was quick and easy to get the estimate and get scheduled. The work was performed on time and looks beautiful. Things were nicely cleaned up. Jud was even quick to get back to me, on several occasions, when I had questions.

Collin and his crew were fabulous. They were punctual, called ahead, and consistently courteous. I felt comfortable having them in my home. They inspected the chimney and gave us an estimate for the repairs. We booked our repair appointment with the office and they were back the next week. The masonry, dampener and cleaning took about two hours. Due to rain it needed to be wrapped to set, so the crew returned a couple of days later and gave it a final look over. Collin showed us how to work the new dampener and shared tips on warming the flue to prevent smoke blowing back before leaving us to enjoy our functioning chimney. If we'd had the grate etc. he would've liked to set a fire for us. Our fireplace and chimney dried up really well with all the fires. In February I noticed one side of the fireplace had dripping water. When discussing the wrk originally, Collin had said they'd seal it all up. I took that to mean the whole chimney had been waterproofed, so I called and asked for help. Collin and the owner came the next day and had a thorough look. Apparently the heavy rains were causing water to pool on the stepped sides of our brick chimney, and that was causing the seepage. A normal issue. The sealant was on the flashing etc.. Upshots? I learned more about how chimneys work, received awesome after care and needed no further work. Chimney Specialists are professionals who care about the quality of their craft and the happiness of their customers. They have earned long term customers here. I wholly recommend them to you.

Toby and Johnny came to clean the dryer vent. They did an excellent job. They are fast, friendly, thorough, and care about doing a job well. Chimney Specialists has excellent customer service--easy to contact, show up when they say they will. Wes and Johnny even went under my house to fix part of my dryer vent that fell down and fastened it so it would not happen again--all this at no additional charge. I used them in the past and gave them a good review then also for excellent chimney cleaning. This is a great company to hire.

The two guys arrived on time. The chimney was swept from the inside. The chimney was also inspected from the roof, and no problems were noted. The entire process took about 15 minutes. I've never had this type of work done before, so for the cost and duration, it seemed over-priced. There was also very little dirt that came down during the sweeping. It also felt like the guys, while they were very efficient, were in a hurry.

Prior to the repair work, an estimator came over and gave us all the details regarding the work that needed to be done to repair our chimney. The person who did the repair work did an excellent job. We're extremely happy with the work that was done! We definitely would recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on their chimney.

They get an A. I only work with the A team. I'd call them back but I don't know that I am going to have to because everything seems to work fine and those logs last a long time.

I had reached out to 3 other chimney sweeping services and had either received wildly expensive quotes ($500 for a simple inspection and cleaning from one) or never received responses at all. Katie with The Chimney Specialists was very prompt in replying and getting us scheduled right away. Collin and his partner called 30 minutes ahead and arrived right on time. They were both friendly and professional and got to work inspecting and cleaning our fireplace/chimney right away. The work was accomplished quickly and there wasn't a speck of ash or soot left behind around our fireplace. Afterward, Collin patiently answered my questions on how to operate the damper (we've never owned a wood-burning fireplace before) and even offered tips on how to reduce smoke when lighting a fire in the fireplace. We'll absolutely be calling The Chimney Specialists back next year for our annual inspection/cleaning and will certainly recommend them to our friends and family.

Two guys showed up on time and got to work right away. While the inside guy was knocking my door, the outside guy was already on the roof inspecting the flute. It went pretty smoothly, until they got to the third fireplace, which has a free standing stove in it. The stove has its own pipe sticking into the chimney, going through this metal board that blocked the rest of the air. It's like a fireplace within the fireplace. The two guys helped me pull the stove out, and spent the next 30 minutes struggling to remove the metal board. Whoever installed it didn't want it to ever come out! The inspection job turned out to be messy, but they got it out without charging me. I had to buy them a six-pack at the end to show my appreciation. I will recommend them, for sure.

I opted to go with The Chimney Specialists despite their price being a little higher than the other two estimates. Their estimator Jud was very knowledgable and he pointed out problems the other two never said a word about. Jud stated that you should never paint a block chimney because it seals in moisture and aids in a more rapid deterioration. The other two estimators said they'd paint the chimney for me for an extra $200. Original bid was for $2750 to replace the chimney from one course below roof line and repair broken liner/new damper. I contacted The Chimney Specialists and confirmed their bid. I was contacted within 24 hours and my job was scheduled about two weeks out. The mason and helper arrived on time and started demolition of old chimney. The crew was very professional and courteous. I was contacted by the estimator, Jud Irish, later that day. He stated that new terra cotta liners would not fit within the boundaries of the chimney below the roof line and that demolition of the chimney would have to continue to the smoke chamber. He requested an additional $500 to cover time and materials. I suppose I could have made them eat it, but it was significantly more work, I agreed to pay the additional amount. Originally they scheduled for a day and a half and it ended up being two days with the extra work. The job was completed to my satisfaction. The cleaned swept up their work area and left it better than it was before.

I talked with a number of chimney repair companies before deciding to go with the Chimney Specialists. They were the only ones who I believed gave me both knowledgeable and honest information. When I scheduled the work, the response was very quick, the crew was personable and professional, the work was of high quality, and they cleaned up after themselves. And on top of that, the price was very reasonable -- they never tried to upsell me to products or services I didn't really need. I recommend them very highly.
