Description of Work: I needed a new chimney cap and the top of my chimney needed to be sealed. The workers were on time, understood the assignment based on the bid, and professional. Most impressively, they determined they could reach the top of my chimney from a ladder, rather than putting up scaffolding. It saved hours of labor and they reduced my bill by one-third below bid -- $1,500 to $1,000. Needless to say, I was appreciative. And, when I asked if using the ladder might damage my roof, my concern was immediately understood and responded to, indicating that they'd already taken it into consideration.

Description of Work: Did chimney sweep. I have a certified stove and the tubes kept falling off. The tech put screws into them so they stay put without being asked - much better! Now I can enjoy my stove without dealing with that. The 2 techs were on time and did a good job. Would use them again.

Destruction of the fireplace was difficult due to thick slab on main floor, but they maintained the schedule. Price was best of 3 bids. Gave discount even though I couldn't find the ad in DEX.
Description of Work: Took down 3 stories of chimney and ash dump. Installed temporary B-vent for furnace and water heater.

+ -1 moreTwo guys arrived on time and finished the work in good time. The price was competitive with other bids. I went with their bid because they were able to book the job sooner than the others. They didn't do a very good clean up job though. Its been three months and there are still bits of the old cover falling down from the roof.
Description of Work: They removed an old cover made of mortar that was falling apart and replaced with a new metal cover.

+ -1 moreI called them and got a reasonable bid ($1,200 cheaper than competition, who would have only inserted a stainless steel tube, hoping the tube would hold the broken chimney together), and the work was finished from the bid until job done, knowing that this job is weather related, within 26 days. The new chimney looks great; the new brick blends nicely into the remaining parts. Due to efficiency reasons, the company wanted to bid on a remodel into a gas fireplace, but I backed off when the taken measures turned out to be an inch or two too narrow to install an insert.
Description of Work: They tore down a broken chimney just below the roof line, rebuilt it with like brick (@ 30 courses, 8-9 brick per course), installed a new crown counter flashing, concrete crown with 12x12" flue collar & stainless steal top mount damper, watered seal ground to top, and repaired cracks in back wall of firebox

Description of Work: THE CHIMNEY SPECIALISTS CLEANED BOTH OF MY CHIMNEY WITH THEIR OWN VACUUM SYSTEM THAT THEY BROUGHT WITH THEM. THEY LEFT IT ON THE FRONT PORCH AND BROUGHT IN A VERY LONG VACUUM TUBE TO REACH BOTH FIREPLACES. THEY COVERED ALL THE AREA AROUND THE FIRE PLACES TO PROTECT THEM. AFTERWARDS THEY INSTALLED CHIMNEY CAPS AND SCREENS TO KEEP THE BIRDS OUT.
