The Spokane office of The Cleaning Authority has been open since 2003 and is currently serving approximately 600 customers. We take pride in being the best quality cleaning service available in the Spokane area. The owner Mark & Sue Silver are both Spokane natives who attended WSU and UW as well as their two boys attending LC and UW. We guarantee all of our cleans. If there is ever any problem, we are happy to come back and make things right. Our quality team performs dozens of daily inspections to ensure consistent quality. We are the 4 time winner of The Cleaning Authority's national "Merit of Excellence" award. We are Gold Members members of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International. We Are very proud to have partnered with a non-profit organization, Cleaning for a Reason. As a residential cleaning service, we offer free house cleaning to women currently undergoing cancer treatment. We feel blessed to help these women in a small way. I appreciate customers comments. Our records indicate last service was performed in April of 2008. That is over 7years ago. Time constraints are difficult in this business. Things change day to day, hour to hour. We promise customers a 2 hour arrival time window. Our instructions for this client did not indicate any specific time request. Description of Work: I've had the Cleaning Authority cleaning my home off and on for a while now. I started with once a week, then took a break as the money quickly adds up. They are now once again cleaning my home, but every other week, instead of once a week. The per cleaning cost has gone up, but overall I feel it's worth the cost. I don't interact with the cleaning staff as I'm usually not home when they arrive so I can't speak to punctuality or professionalism, but I can so I love to come home to a clean home.

Description of Work: Very responsive and professional and the girls that came to my home were always polite and helpful and punctual. Service I would rate a B. Often I found areas that did not appear to be cleaned, dirt on the floors, they often did not looked mopped but merely swept. Behind the bathroom doors seemed to get missed, countertops were only wiped, not scrubbed. Things like that, it was always clean, I would have just done a more thorough job myself and was always left a little disappointed. When I cancelled my service I was really surprised that they didn't ask why or for any feedback. Mostly the cost was too high for the level of service I was getting and they wanted way too much for a once a month cleaning. I did really like that the brought their own supplies and the auto bill was great, I never had to bother remembering to leave a check out! Not bad, not amazing, just middle of the road, there were both pros and cons - like most service.

I wanted to respond to this customer. First of all we have a guarantee that says if for any reason you are ever unhappy with any of our work, we are happy to come back and fix the problems. We continually work with customers when issues come up. We aren't perfect. Sometimes it is a difference in the services delivered and customer expectations. To my knowledge this client never discussed any quality issues with us. Secondly, we use a detail rotation system. This client cancelled 3 of her last 7 cleans which leads to details being missed and our staff losing their hours. When a bi-weekly customer cancels they get the benefit of our pricing agreement when in fact they have become a monthly client. We charge more for monthly cleans. It only makes sense. Monthly cleans receive 12 cleans per year whereas bi-weekly clients receive 26 cleans. When we discussed the price increase with the client, she terminated. Again, there was never a quality discussion. Had there been, we would have fixed any problems. We would be thrilled to have the opportunity to provide service with this client and make sure we are all on the same page.

Description of Work: They cleaned the whole first floor of our home (they usually just do part of it). I called the same morning and asked if they could do more that day, and they were able to do that. It went well. We are very pleased with what they do. It is such a pleasure to walk into the house after they have cleaned it and see it all done!

Description of Work: I have a large house and they come every other week. The price is high but they provide benefits for employees, cars for transportation, all the supplies. I love the rotation service which is noted for each cleaning. They do it all but some things are done in more detail - split in two - for each of the cleanings. I have absolutely no complaints and think my gals are wonderful.

Description of Work: We hired the Cleaning Authority for a move-out clean after we had moved out of our 1500 sf home (of which only 1200 sf was really useable). 2 women arrived on time and began working promptly. I was not present during the entire cleaning so cannot comment on their efficiency. When finished the house was in pretty good condition, though some walls still needed to be wiped down to remove some marks (that easily came off with water and a rag by myself). Appliances were nicely cleaned. The women were very polite and professional. $90/hr seems to be on the pricy side from my prior experiences.

(removed member name), we really appreciate your business and the feedback. You've heard the expression, "no good deed goes unpunished". Regarding walls, we made it policy several years back to stay away from walls. In our early years we would wipe a spot off the wall and paint would come off. We ended up having to repaint several walls. While I would completely agree with you that many marks could be easily removed, it simply creates too much additional liability. I hope you understand. As far as pricing, since we service 750 regular ongoing customers, one time move out cleans are scheduled on Saturdays. We pay overtime for all employees who volunteer for Saturday cleans. Thus, the $90 per hour for a team with a 3 hour minimum. If you are ever interested regular service, please give us a call. We would love the opportunity. An example that happens quite often is we arrive to the house before you and find out we are cleaning several on request areas. Description of Work: NOTHING!! My house looked as if no-one had ever cleaned it. Dust everywhere, floors still dirty, kitchen was filthy, and so on. My home takes 3 hours to clean with two girls and they left after 30 minutes!!

As an owner of a successful house cleaning business with 700 clients, I understand that not every single client will love our service. It’s the nature of the service industry. Sometimes expectations do not align well with the level of service provided. What I would ask of our Angie’s List members is to read the next 6 pages of outstanding A reviews. I believe these reviews are a more accurate reflection of the type of service we continually offer our clients. I ask you, do (27) A reviews say anything? Let me share a few facts about this client. First and foremost, the last time we provided service to this customer was July of 2012. That is over 15 months ago. She states the last service provided was on October 3, 2013. This is completely inaccurate. Actually it was July 23, 2012. She also states in her comments that our team of two cleaners was at her home for 30 minutes. Again, completely inaccurate. Our average time spent in her home was over 1.5 hours with two team members. This would be perfectly normal for a medium sized home. We want everyone to know that we treat our clients with great respect. If there is an issue of concern, we will do practically anything within reason to resolve it. We have a satisfaction guarantee that we take very seriously. Our office has earned The Cleaning Authority “Merit of Excellence” 9 years running. Our manager, Melissa Stauffer recently earning the United States Cleaning Authority “Manager of the Year”. As a 56 year resident of Spokane, I take great pride in my company, my teams and the way we choose to give back to our great community. All this client had to do is call our office and we would done anything possible to make sure her experience was positive. Unfortunately, we never had that opportunity.
