Description of Work: I had a complete furnace and heat pump put in by them. I was really happy with them.

Description of Work: They put in a new furnace and AC unit. The salesman was brilliant. Pleasant, not a hard sell, and the installation techs were punctual. However they did not clean up after themselves and had to come back 3 times because the AC was not working properly. Instead of coming out to check they just let it blow hot air for an entire weekend because "it takes time to cool the air down". I understood that but blowing hot air is not the same as not cooling off quickly.

Description of Work: They came out and replaced our furnace that was about 30/40 years old. They also installed a new air conditioner at the same time. Everyone on the crew was helpful and efficient. They got everything done in one day and cleaned up well after finishing the job.

Description of Work: This was an emergency call after hours and on a Sunday night there were only two calls ahead of me. the igniter on the furnace went out. thank goodness the had emergency service.

Description of Work: Performed routine maintenance on my furnace. I am on an annual maintenance contract and they always call and remind me of this need. They arrive when promised and seem very thorough in their work.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a house on Spokane's south hill. The previous owners had Sturm come out to do an inspection on the heating in a room which was not getting adequate air. The inspection was done and both the previous owners and myself were led to believe that air was indeed coming out if the register and that it was not a problem. Upon taking possession of the house we found that there was not air coming through that register. When we called up the inspector he stated that there was not any air coming through the register that you in fact had to reach you arm into the ducting the feel any air. We called up Sturm to discuss the issue with them and we met with nothing except for rudeness and denial. The manager I spoke with was extremely defensive from the get-go barely listen to me and staunchly refused to deal with the issue. I was extremely disappointed with the reaction that I got considering the reputation of this company. I had hoped that they would have been more receptive to talk with us about it and try to figure out something that was beneficial for both of us. As it stands I feel i cannot recommend these people to anyone given the lack of support for their own work. Whether or not this job was done pro bono it was done under the banner of the company and therefore under their reputation. I would have hoped that their reputation as a reputable company would have come into play in this instance and they would have seeked remedy the problem. As it stands they did not seem to care whether or not this causes a hit to their reputation which speaks to me that they do not care to backup their work or the work of their people. I do not want to accuse them of doing shoddy work or say that they intentionally misled either me or the previous buyers since I do not believe that to be the case. However, I feel like they should have done a better job with the work that they were given to do or at least have sought some means to fix the misunderstanding which we now find ourselves in.

Description of Work: I have had Sturm service my furnaces and heat pumps for the last 3 years and they have always done an excellent job. My old heat pump/AC unit was leaking coolant and rather than spend the money trying to diagnose and repair where the leak was coming from I decided to replace the unit. Sturm was very helpful in assisting me with a selection of a new unit. Their installation crew quickly executed the job leaving zero mess (even though they had to crawl up into my dusty attic). Thanks to them I had a very comfortable and cool summer upstairs.
