Oakenshield Chimney Service

Cleaned fireplace and chimney. They even fixed a couple of problems free of charge. They were friendly, informative and highly professional. I have already recommended them to friends and co-workers

They arrived on time, were very professional, and very knowledgeable. They covered their work areas with drop cloths and removed their shoes. They found our flue was stuck open from collected debris inside and after cleaning it still wouldn't completely seal. We don't plan to burn anything in that fireplace so they placed insulation over the area to stop drafts. Our other fireplace also was allowing cold air to pour inside so they cleaned it and sealed it with insulation as well. We got to see pictures of their work and agree with their recommendation to install chimney caps (he suggested we do it ourselves to save money and told us how to do it). Overall, we were very impressed with them! And our house has been a lot warmer :)

We were really impressed with Oakenshield's professionalism and service. Mark was thorough and explained each step, including showing us where our ash container is (we just bought the house and we're still learning where everything is). He was tidy and used all the appropriate protective gear to keep from getting soot on our floors, doors, etc. What most impressed us was that we were getting our sprinklers serviced at the same time, and when the sprinkler guy arrived, Mark quickly stopped what he was doing and went to move his truck so the sprinkler guy could drive in. It was a considerate move and it was fun to see the two of them exchange business information after. I can't remember which one of them needed work done from the other but it sounded like it was a fortuitous meeting. Will definitely be using Oakenshield again.

They arrived at the scheduled time. they were efficient in performing the work. both members of the crew removed their shoes before coming in the house to avoid tracing any debris in. They cleaned the chimney and the wood stove. There was no dust or debris from the work. they were done in about 25 minutes. They explained everything that they did and observed. I had a full report. I would call them again, without hesitation. -26

, WThere were 2 men as they were not sure before getting to my home whether or not the insert needed to be removed for cleaning. It did not as there is a good clean-out. They were very punctual, even a few minutes early. They were very polite and friendly as well as professional. One stayed inside, the other on the roof. They communicated back and forth. The one on the roof was very careful to remove his shoes before entering my home. The invoice had a diagram showing all the areas inspected.

Perfect! Arrived on time, was totally professional and clean. Examined damper and found it working as well as possible considering it's age. Did not charge even though he cleaned our entire fire box and worked for 30 minutes examining and cleaning the damper. Would use again without any hesitation!

Great! Mark was extremely professional, personal, punctual (even early), and answered every question I had. He provided advice on spark arrestors and even warned us about an unused fireplace in our basement (it still had the old stainless steel liner in it). Took great care to keep our house clean, with a cloth covering the entire carpet area where they would walk. I was very impressed.

I was very pleased with the quality of service that Mark provided. Our chimney is a challenge to get at ( due to height of roof and height of the actual chimney). Mark assured me that he was up to the challenge, and told me not to worry. everything would be fine. Mark was very professional and personable. He inspected and cleaned 2 chimneys. Took pictures and explained thoroughly what are upcoming issues would be with the bricks and crowne . He did an amazing job and left the place spotless. As always I am thrilled with this company and their dedication to customer service. Wish there was an and quot;A+and quot; category for businesses of this caliber because they go above and beyond on every expectation I had. Working with a company that was licensed, insured and registered with Land I is very important to me and the main reason I chose them in the beginning. Their service is what makes me a repeat customer. Appt was set to accommodate my schedule rather than theirs, Mark showed up right on time, he put down sheets to cover the carpets and the work was completed quickly. He took pictures so that I could see the pipe before and after his sweep which only reinforces the fact that I am paying for something that is needed. When your pipe is 24 feet in the air --- not like I'm going to climb up there to check out if they really performed the service! He noticed animal droppings around the air intake and even cleaned that out to be sure there wasn't anything living in there. If my car dealer, doctor, or bank even gave 1/4 this much customer satisfaction I'd be a happy camper! You will never be sorry that you chose Oakenshield.

What a great company!! Tim answered the phone and had great customer service. He was able to make an appointment for me the very next day. Mark showed up early and was also such a sweet and friendly man. I felt totally comfortable with him in my house and what a professional!! He inspected both chimneys, took pictures to show me their condition and left the house spotless!! He was so careful he walked around on tiptoe to ensure dust wouldn't fall off of himself while walking. Overall I am very pleased with the service and the price was more than worth it!! Call in the Spring, they have a great discount.

Absolutely would use again! The technician was professional, polite and quick. I had a tough job 2 year build up of gunk he thought it would take more than an hour but got done in 55min and during that time educated me on some things that I did not know but will help me in the future to keep my chimney cleaner.

Punctual, efficient, respectful, pleasant and service oriented. Fair price and left house clean, provided helpful education, overall very good experience, we will use them again.

Extremely puntual -- in fact he almost beat me to the house (on a windy day with flurries developing). Offered a lot of helpful advice on troubleshooting the fireplace (this was a newly purchased house where problems abound).We were very glad to have his perspective on things and thankful he could find time for us on short notice.

We moved into a new house and before beginning to use the chimney, we wanted to get it surveyed and cleaned, if necessary. Mark arrived on time, did a thorough inspection, took photos - which he then emailed to me - of the chimney; and did a thorough write up. He was very informative - recommended some work in the spring to seal the outside of the chimney. I will certainly call them back for the job.

Mark was here on time/early (first job of the day). Explained clearly what he would do, and got right to work. Floors/surfaces were well protected and left cleaner than he found them. The stove was 40 years old, and it was unclear when it had last been cleaned. The stove was carefully inspected, additional screws added in stovepipe for safety, and thoroughly cleaned. Mark left clear paperwork showing what he had done and found, and indicating his recommendations. Additional pamphlet on care and use were provided, as well. Very professional. As a mom at home, I felt very comfortable with his presence; felt he answered my questions completely, clearly, and directly; and will call him again next year.

Very courteous and professional. I did not not compare prices so I can't comment on the price. He gave me thorough evaluation of our heating system and showed me how to do things that he could have charged for. Excellent service.

I recently bought an older home, and needed to have the chimney swept and inspected before using the fireplace this winter. I chose Oakenshield because they were top ranked on Angie's List. Even though their calendar was full, they were able to fit us in within a week to accommodate my travel plans. The technician who came to the house was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and professional. He educated us on the type of fireplace we have, it's efficiency, and safety. He inspected the chimney from inside the house as well as outside on the roof. While outside, he took photos to illustrate to us what he was describing. He assessed that we didn't need a sweep, so he only charged us for the inspection. He also explained in detail how we can go about making the repairs that are needed and when they should be done. We felt that he really respected us and didn't push us into buying more services that we didn't need. We will definitely call Oakenshield again!

Mark arrived on time and quickly scoped out the fireplace and chimney...he explained what he was going to do and he then laid down protective coverings on the living room rug to insure that nothing got dirty. He then started his work and was both up on the roof outside inspecting and working and inside vaccuming the firebox. He seemed through and knowledgeable and wasinformative as to the overall chimney condition. He repaired the fireplace glass doors at no charge.

Mark was extremely professional and conscientious. He wore booties so as to not get the floor dirty. He carefully covered both fireplace openings (we have a and quot;see-throughand quot; fireplace) so as to not allow dust to enter the house. He took pictures to show me the extent of the soot buildup. He vaccuumed everything and left absolutely no trace of soot or dust. I will certainly call him again when we need cleaning.

We scheduled a chimney cleaning and inspection with Oakenshield after a recommendation from our neighbor. Mark was on time, very courteous and pleasant. After explaining the procedure, he then quickly covered furniture, sealed off the fireplaces and started cleaning. We have a specialized roof that can be damaged if not dealt with properly. He knew how to work with it, and not a tile was cracked. After finishing, you would never know he had been there. The inspection documentation is now in our homeowners file. I would highly recommend Oakenshield to anyone for any chimney issue, in fact, I already have. Coincidentally, while he was cleaning, I ran an errand to my local grocery store, I was chatting with an employee about my day, she told me she had a recommendation, Mark, from Oakenshield.
