Description of Work: We needed 2 ceiling fans installed in areas where no light fixtures or wiring were previously present. I was shopping for a company with a good reputation that was also fairly priced. I contacted 2 other well known electrical contractors first. One, I learned, tried to gouge us, quoting a price nearly 3 TIMES MERIT'S FINAL COST. The other was totally evasive on what the job would cost, but said it would likely be less than $1,000. Merit ended up being my choice, thanks to Angie's reviews. I called, explained the job I needed done, and received a clear, (and ultimately accurate) idea of cost. I am SO THRILLED to have found them and so happy to have them on "speed dial" as future electrical needs arise! I am SO impressed with the honest/transparent manner in which this company does business (I learned they've been around for 34 years!) and just LOVED the office staff, especially Elissa, and Mike, OUR electrician. Happy, proud employees are a good sign of a company's quality, and theirs are both!

Description of Work: Jason worked with our plumber to update our aging wiring to install a new electric water heater (we were converting form an old gas water heater). He was super prompt returning phone calls for scheduling, showed up exactly on time, did the work perfectly and efficiently and was nice to be around. My previous electrician was very skilled but would have charged me double the amount for the work Jason did.

Description of Work: They installed a new Delux Heat-A-Vent w/Fan in downstairs bathroom and then installed a new kitchen ceiling light ballast with 4 new lamps. Both items are working great now and we will use Merit Electric again. We will proudly recommend them to our friends who need a electrician.
