Description of Work: Kevin and his crew built me a 4 1/2 foot high, wood frame fence to finish enclosing my backyard for dogs. I asked him to fabricate the fence from a photo I'd taken of a neighbor's fence and they went above and beyond to create a beautiful fence within my budget. They even recommended different wire to ensure my smaller dog couldn't squeeze through the openings. I would recommend them to anyone. They are so great and very conscientious.

Description of Work: Very Poor way of running a business. In November 2015 we had a bad windstorm..which blew our fence down...Called many times and had to leave a message... Kept calling as our six foot tall wooden fence was in neighbor's driveway. Finally reached Kevin... An appointment was made two weeks after initially speaking to him to view damage and give a bid. I had a claim with my insurrance company pending and finally had to get help, as I'm disabled, to wire fence up and out of neighbor's driveway. On the day of my scheduled appointment no one showed up. I had cancelled some very important medical appointments to be home and answer questions on rebuilding the fence and finally get a bid. I called Mending Fences; and Kevin informed me he had his wife email me that day at six in the morning that day stating they would not be coming, and to just take pictures. From the pics he would send a bid. I questioned how would he know the length of the fence from a pic and the thickness of my cedar boards; let alone the access and any salvage? After my question; I was told there were many fences to fix and I was in better shape than others who had loose dogs... He never asked me if I had a dog..which I do. The tone of his response was not positive. I have copies of it. In it he also stated to call someone else. I informed him; I never heard of a bid from a pic. He said just send some pics and I can give you a bid. I took pics and sent them anyway. They acknowledged receipt of the pics and stated they would get a bid to me as soon as possible. That was done on Dec. 2nd, 2015. I never heard from him again. Because we had a storm and businees was good, Kevin's responses were not very professional. | |It took 4 days to reach him via phone calls and two weeks to schedule an appointment which he cancelled the last minute...then no respone from his requested pics...Today's date is the 14th of DEC. Now I honestly cannot rate him positively. I've never ran my business in such an unprofessional manner.

Description of Work: The wind storm blew a panel of the 6 foot vinyl privacy fence loose from the post at the top. They popped that back into place and put in a stop screw. The second repair was to the gate, which had a broken panel. They replaced it, but had to cut the replacement panel to size. The cut was not very straight and a little jagged, which I was not happy with. But they were very good in getting out here promptly to reattach the loose panel to the post, which I appreciated. Otherwise, there would have been further damage.

Description of Work: Mending Fences repaired a front area of our fence and repaired a gate. The work they did entailed installing three post supports and shoring up a gate area that we no longer wanted to use in that fashion, along with repairing a second gate. The work took just over two hours and if it wasn't for the new posts I would have never known they were in the yard. They took all the dirt they dug up and filled some holes in the yard and along the other fence line that our dog had dug. The fence, which was leaning forward, is now straight and sturdy. This is who I will call anytime I need fence work and have already recommended them to two other people. Kevin was great to work with.

Description of Work: Fenced my backyard (Wood). 1 gate and set up for a large gate. All prep work. Great bunch of guys to work with and they know what they are doing!

Description of Work: I had a wooden fence replaced with chain link . Kevin(owner) was very accommodating with his time and expertise !!! Gave me money saving suggestions, good ideas and was very personable and pleasant to work with. The job was started as he said and finished a day early. Call Mending Fences for high quality work done with integrity!!

Description of Work: These guys put in 370 feet of post and dowell fencing for me. They did a great job despite hitting a lot of rock......I am very pleased and could not have hired a better company. Kevin and his crew are great!!!

Description of Work: added to bottom of my gate a slat & pavers to keep my dog inside. He is little & was able to get out, Keven fixed it for me very satified with his service. Thank you Helen Salazar

Description of Work: We had a corner chain link fence that was hit by a car in the December snows that needed to be replaced and repair. The old metal post had to be replaced and the chain link fence on two sides needed to be removed and replace.

Description of Work: We had a new perimeter cedar fence and two gates installed.

Description of Work: Replaced old gate with new, handbuilt-with-screws, not nails, wooden gate with metal posts. Did what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it. Courteous, professional, and personable.

Description of Work: Fenced in a area for Horses

Description of Work: Kevin and his men righted a falling fence whose posts had rotted and the weight of ivy had at a 45 degree angle. It entailed jackhammering through concrete, installing new metal support posts and pouring new concrete. They had to cut away ivy in the 5 post areas, but they did it so carefully that the loss of coverage is minimal. They also did the new concrete so nicely that it's hard to tell where it was patched. The fence is completely and solidly vertical again for the first time in years. The other repair they did was to the 2 gates, one that had over the years become more and more difficult to open. The other gate worked well, but opened in the wrong direction from the back yard, making it impossible to drive a snowblower from there to the front yard sidewalks when blocked by snow.

Description of Work: installed both chainlink and cedar fencing on a hard to work with rock wall. Workers were extremely friendly and caring about the job they were doing. Complete cleanup after completion, were very careful around flowers and plants. I will definately have them back for more work in the future and highly recommend them.
