Description of Work: This was the 1st time I'd worked with Banner in several years. I picked them because of the Angie's List rating. It was a basic check-up on the heating and cooling systems in my 2003 house. He did a good job. A little "full of himself", but manageable. He found a potential problem in the AC unit before it failed, so that was good. Overall, he did a good job, and I appreciate the talent needed to do it.

Description of Work: New Goodman air conditioner. Came back a couple times for minor adjustments prior to heavy use. |Did a great job. Good service for many years.

Description of Work: Our furnace quit working, so we called Banner because they were recommended by a number of people we know. Bernie, a very nice guy, did a number of tests on the unit, and concluded that the circuit board had a short in it, and a new one would have to be ordered. We asked how long it would take for the part to arrive, and he said he would return later that same day. About four hours later, Bernie was at our from door, with the new circuit board in his hand. Within 30 minutes, the new part was installed and tested. We have had no problems with the furnace since. Forty-five minutes for the diagnosis, and thirty minutes for the installation and tIest, $ 117 for the new part. $ 70 for a CO2 test, and a little over $ 100 for labor. We are very satisfied and happy with the results.

Description of Work: The furnace was not working. They came when they promised, were thorough and honest. Other companies wanted thousands to replace the furnace. Banner asked for $400 to replace a part and spent two hours making sure the furnace worked to their satisfaction. An outstanding customer experience.

Description of Work: We received a bid for the services of cleaning our gas fireplace out and to explore why the fan was making so much noise. The female technician arrived on-time, took the whole fireplace apart and had carefully placed a large cloth on the floor to protect our tile and white carpet. She was very thorough, detailed the entire fireplace and attempted to clean the glass front - with moderate success. We had tried to clean the glass previously and the "fogged appearnance" on the glass was our fault from using the wrong cleaner. She did the best she could given what she had to work with on the glass! She was polite, informative and very timely in completing her task. I would definitely hire them again to provide their professional services for any of our four gas fireplaces or our furnace/air systems. The Price was right, the on-time service was right, the professionalism of the person at the house was right and the attention to detail and protecting our carpet and tiles was accomplished. Description of Work: Unbelievable. Invested in maintenance package. Called and left for greater than 48 hours without a response from company. Either, their on-call technician did not want to receive after hour calls, or main office had their phone off hook. i.e busy tone for greater than 48 hours. Meanwhile, although not to there fault, my in-home temperatures soared to greater than 85 deg f. with infant children in household. Banner, if you offer a 24 hour service, and your service department recommends or upsells consumers to assist patrons or consumers with backup service. THEN STAND BY YOUR WORK! AND SERVICE 24/7.!! UNACCEPTABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, BELOW STANDARD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Description of Work: Gas furnace was leaking water on the basement floor (condensation in pvc exhaust pipe). I had fixed this problem in the past by running a straightened hanger wire through the drain hose but thought I should call a professional as the furnace is 23 years old. The professional did some pvc patching and talked me into a 'furnace evaluation'. Cost $217.40. Two days later the water was again running across the floof to the drain so I had to call them back. A second repairman arrived, blew out the clogged drain tube with compressed air, tried to sell me a total duct clean out which I declined and presented me with a bill for another $40. This in spite of his admission that the first guy should have blown out the drain tube. It took three phone calls to the company to get the last charge reversed but it did finally happen.

Description of Work: Called Charlie (service manager) and he responded as quick as we and he could to the situation (old forced air Gas furnace not putting out any heat). I was dealing with his staff from several states away via the phone and his staff provided excellent repair at a reasonable cost (lots of trust when you aren't there to micromanage - monitor the repair). I am very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them to anyone. I did not feel the high pressure to buy a new furnace (although I am sure in the future, years, It will new replacement, and yes I will go to Charlie). These are people you can trust to do the right thing for you EXCELLENT.
