ZVARA CUSTOM WOOD FLOORS

From the start ,with providing an estimate, this company was exceptionally professional. That professionalism continued throughout the entire experience. We had an oven glass door burst while in cleaning mode. It burned glass into the wood floor! This created the need to require refinishing. In our hall closet and pantry we removed the items from the floor only. Zvara Floors covered everything else in plastic. There was some dust but very little. Our housekeeper even commented on how little there was. They removed and replaced the toilet, refrigerator and dishwasher. We chose to not have stain and went with a matte finish. It looks beautiful! We had oak vent covers installed to match the floors and it adds to the high quality of the look. Zvara Floors did not replace any wood. They restored these floors to look like brand new! I've already passed their services on to a friend.

Peter and his team were great. They helped us with the selection of the flooring (white oak) and appropriate finish. He was happy to drop off samples, always responded in a timely manner, was very friendly and professional. They installed about 1100 sqft of hardwood in January, and another 2000 sqft in May 2013. The work was performed exactly as promised. They showed up when they said they would, the work took even less time than they said it would, they cleaned up when they left. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend their services to anyone.

Our house was in very rough shape when we bought it, and one of the worst parts were the floors. The previous owners had not taken care of the lovely fir floors and then covered them with carpet in the 60s and added huge nails , staples, etc in many places when it was installed. The first day we had the home we gleefully pulled off the carpet, but were quickly disappointed to see that the floors beneath had dark stains, scratches, and water damage all over. Fast forward three years, when we were finally able to save enough to refinish them. We had three bids, and the Zvara team was not only reasonable but gave us much more confidence in their ability to do the job. They care about old homes and restoration, and have lots of experience with it, while some of the people we had bids from wanted to rip out the treasure of old growth wood and replace with big-box-store oak. We had great advice about the project from Peter and his son Noah throughout the preparatory stages, including the idea to replace our old metal heating supply.return vents with wood grills, which was not much added expense and made a huge difference in the final look of the floor. The work was done fast and we were able to return home within 3 days. The final outcome is a huge transformation, a floor with gorgeous reds, ambers, golds, and yellows. We went with no stain and a satin finish, which was recommended by Peter and which we are very happy with. The team supplied the old-growth fir wood used for patching and it blends in beautifully; you would never know where the repairs were done. We can't recommend Zvara floors highly enough and will be using them in the near future when we refinish our staircase and upstairs floors.

Peter was very responsive in coming to my home and providing an estimate. While their price was slightly more than the other two bids I obtained , he gave me the most confidence of the companies I contacted. They made suggestions on finishes, etc., which I appreciated. They followed the schedule they provided precisely. Staff arrived on time, etc. The end result is beautiful. They had to "feather in" the new floor with my old existing floor, and you cannot tell now where it was done. In addition, my new wood stairs are beautiful. I changed the stain from the old floor slightly, and it was precisely what I was looking for. I would highly recommend Zvara.

I am thrilled with the results, better then I imagined. Part of the excellent results stem from a great experience. Starting with getting a quote, having the wood delivered and a dump truck set up. Peter was very responsive to my emails and phone calls, keeping me constantly updated. And my interaction with Noah, Joe, Joey & Kyle, all were professional, respectful, punctual, careful with my home and maintained a really clean environment minimizing the disruption to my family. The workmanship is of high quality and I will reach out to them again for any future related work!

It was a great experience from beginning to end. The whole project was handled perfectly, that project was completed on time and we are extremely pleased with the results. We would recommend them highly for any installation and refinishing project.

The floors turned out great and there were a couple of places they needed to come back and fix, but they were very responsive to our needs and took care of all the areas we needed fixed. The repairs were done the same day they came out to check on our request for fixes. Very easy to get along with and more than willing to please. Thanks for the good experience.

Peter arrived to do the estimate on time. He was polite and answered all of my questions. They laid the floor very quickly, even over a couple of problem spots on my floor. When they came back later to stain the floor, they even had to lay more flooring in a closet that had been overlooked. This wasn't a problem. When we moved back into our house, I had a few concerns. I sent email, and they were out the next day. Every one of my problems was solved and the floor is beautiful. I am happy with their work.

The Zavara team showed up exactly on time to begin the work. We had prior bad experience with this kind of project concerning the amount of dust that would be involved, but team Zavara carefully taped off and protected adjacent areas and delivered an incredibly beautiful finish with virtually no dust in the process. We were quite amazed they were able to sand up to the cabinets and base boards with no strip of old finish showing. The resulting product exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely call on them again for our next job.

Excellent experience from estimate through completion and the floors look incredible!

They couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. Moved the schedule around to accomodate us while we were on vacation. We left for a week of vacation and left them with a key and came back to a beautiful floor and am absolutely spotlessly clean house. Completely surpassed our expectations. We asked them to match a particular floor color on our stairs and they did a beautiful job chosing the color.

Peter was very responsive when I called, and explained my problem (dishwasher leaked, caused flooring to buckle). I called on Tuesday, he was able to come see me on Thursday, and even arrive a little earlier than he estimated, despite the fact that I live out in Duvall. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. He knew right away what type of flooring I had, and after inspecting the flooring, said that the flooring was in great shape, having dried out, and I didn't need to actually do any repairs on it. I asked about some other potential flooring work I could do in the house, and he was very knowledgable about what my options would be.

I used Zavara Custom Wood Flooring to intall new hardwood floors in my home. Peter came out and gave an estimate for the job and explained the process and how long it would take. After looking at samoles for a week or so we decided an the type of wood we wanted. I notified Zavara and they gave me a quote and ordered the wood. On the day of install they were there on time and very efficient. The old flooring was removed and sub floor prepped in no time. Five crew members were working and all seemed to know exactly what to do. It took a day and a half to complete the install. The base boards were reinstalled and appliances put back. I even ask if they could help move two heavy furniture items back from the garage. They did with no problems. It was really appreciated. The house was clean when they left. I would recommend them to anyone.

The owner returned my call promptly, arrived for the meeting on time, and was very knowledgable. His crew arrived for the work promptly, did everything well, and left a clean house. We had some minor drywall dings, which they repaired and my contractor painted, this was settled with no issues whatsoever. There are so many hardwood floor companies out there, it is hard to find one that you can know and trust, and know they put all the finishes on as we were not there because of the toxic finish. Zvara did an excellent job, and the floors are stunning!

These guys were on time, professional, hard-workng and did a quality job. They were done earlier than expected for both the installation and the finishing, I will use them again. Our floors look fabulous, definitely worth what we paid and the hassle of having to vacate our bottom floor. Thank you!

The entire experience working with Zvara custom wood floors was great. Peter came out 2x to give us a bid becuase we changed the scope of the project. Job started and end on time and on budget. The work looks great!!! We love the floors. They installed new and wove into existing. It all blends perfectly and looks amazing. Their customer service is fabulous and they always got back to us quickly with any questions we had. We would highly recommend Zvara Custom wood floors!

New installation and redo old hardwoods.

Pete came out and gave us an estimate which we accepted and later on the week we had the dates they would come out. The crew came out on time and started by sealing off the entrance to the rooms with plastic to protect them from dust. They were able to sand out the spots that were damaged and put a sealer coat and the first coat of Bona Traffic (a top rated product) The came out the next day (when they said they would be back at 8am they were here exactly on time) and buffed the floors and put down the final coat of Bona Traffic The crew came back 3 hours later to check on the floor. They crew was extremely professional and we are extremely pleased on how the floors turned out.

Went great, just waiting to put the rugs down so we can consider the job complete.

Peter came out to provide an estimate promptly. He had a gadget that could measure moisture in the wood, and determined the toilet was possibly still leaking (even though I had it repaired) and so he said the best course of action was to remove it, remove the wood and dry out the under flooring, or else the water trapped down there would damage the new wood as well. I really appreciated his discovery of this, as the other company I had come out to quote the job did not have the same attention to detail. long story short, I called my plumber back out, he repaired the leak once and for all, and then I hired Peter and his team to do the floors. Peper did let me know he was booked up for about a month, and that was fine, so we schedule when he had his next opening. Its always odd handing your house key over to a group of strangers and leaving them your house for 4 days (we couldn't stay while the work was being done due to fumes, no kitchen access etc...), but they tread my house with care and respect, always made sure it was locked at the end of each day etc... I really appreciated that! And the floors look amazing! they look brand new, and are so better than I ever expected. They sanded them down and then that sawdust was mixed back in with a sealant that was pressed down into the seams in my floor, so its now sealed and dirt and grime can't get in between the boards anymore. The dotards in the bathroom were replaced, and they also evened out a few wonky boards around my fridge, which I had not even pointed out to them. And they even feel better under my feet! The only downside is the dog now can't stop himself as easily when he runs down the hall, so he's crashed into the wall a few times. All in all i would recommend Zvara Custom wood Floors to anyone.

They were wonderful to work with, start to finish. The estimate was clear and detailed. Peter asked a lot of questions about heating vents and how I wanted the stairs to look, which showed his attention to detail. He and his crew were always prompt, both for the estimate and for the actual work. The crew was incredible. They went right to work and completed all the demolition the first day. That includes the break they took to help carry in all the flooring when it was delivered. The delivery guy told me that he wasn't impressed much by anyone, but that he was impressed by Peter's crew. I was, too. By the end of the first day they completed the new flooring in the living room and had started on several rooms upstairs. They worked around the fact that the foundation repair crew, who were also working that week, had to level the house one day. The flooring guys were able to work in other parts of the house. They finished the job in four days, and Peter gave me a complete and detailed report at the end of the job. I thought the price was fair for what I wanted, and the quality is superb. Several other people have commented on what a good job Zvara did. I would hire them again and I have already recommended them to friends.

We could not be happier with the work Peter and his crew did. The quality is fantastic and our floors look better now than they did when they were new! Very professional and wonderful to work with. They arrived when they said they would and got right to work. They gave us all the information we needed and were great to have in our home. We could not be more pleased.

Zvara did a fantastic job bringing new life back into our 25 year old floors. The floors are beautiful and its almost a shame putting furniture and rugs back down to cover up the floors reclaimed beauty. The Zvara team was very professional, punctual and accessable whenever we had a question. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I'd highly recommend them to anyone considering getting their floors refinished.
