Description of Work: Wood floors sanded, stained and refinished. Floors look really good now. Some minor holes were missed now that I've time to inspect the floor closer but not a big deal. Overall very satisfied with the service.

Description of Work: I hired Zvara Custom Wood Floors to replace old carpeting on stairs, in my hallway, and in my office with hardwood. The work was excellent. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Installed and finished new hardwood in family room and refinished existing hardwood in entry, hall closet, powder room and kitchen. I got 5 quotes and their's was one of the lowest. They answered all our questions, any phone messages left for them were returned in a timely manner. They showed up when they said they would and had the job completed in the time frame given. All employees were friendly and professional.

Description of Work: Noah and crew did a great job. They arrived on time and immediately did all they could to limit the dust created by refinishing hardwood floors. Our home is very open, so this was not an easy task. The original bid was about $1,500 cheaper (which we considered to b very reasonable), but WE changed the color because WE picked the wrong one the first time. When we came out Monday afternoon, it was clearly not the color we had wanted. We contacted Noah and he was out with the crew the next morning with additional choices. They did not complain; they did not talk about "other jobs"; they wanted us to be happy. So while the redo was costly, it was our error not theirs, and they could not have been better contractors. They resanded and restained the floors on Tuesday, put he final coat on Wednesday, ad we could have gotten back in the house on Thursday. They worked very hard to clean up the fine dust, but of course could not get it all. Just expect that when you redo hardwood floors. They crew was very polite and accommodating. We highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Refinished oak flooring. Noah and crew were punctual, professional, and result was a new looking floor. Really like the heater vents that are now made out of wood too! Definitely would use Zvara again.

Description of Work: Mr. Zvara promptly returned my call requesting a estimate. However, he did not show up for the apt. on 6/27/13 between 10:00 and 10:30.

Did not increase estimate when they learned actual square footage was higher than estimated And to top it off, sent an unrequested refund at end of job when owner realized we were Angie's List members entitled to a refund Amazing! Description of Work: I just wanted to say thanks to Peter and his sons for the excellent craftsmanship with the installation and finishing of my new hardwoods. Peter took the time to patiently answer all my questions and concerns. Our floor turned out great! His sons and workers were all trustworthy, friendly, and efficient craftsmen. I felt totally safe leaving my house in there hands. Thank you!

Description of Work: My floors needed refinishing, and I read good reviews on Angie's List, as well as a recommendation from a friend for Zvara floors. I received a somewhat lower bid from another floor refinisher, but I just felt more comfortable hiring Peter and his family to do the work, and I am glad I did. The entire experience was a pleasure from start to finish. They showed up on time, did a great job, and I came home to a clean house with hardly any dust. Noah custom mixed some stain color for the floor and I love it. The color came out exactly as I had hoped it would. They used Bona Traffic waterborne finish on the floors, so I came home to very little odor, and what there was, was pleasant. There were a couple teeny questions I had, and Noah came out and explained stuff, fixed one or two tiny things in a timely manner. My dog unfortunately has already put a few scratches in the finish, and I have to remind myself that it is like that new car feeling - waiting for the first dent.......dogs and hardwood don't mix and there's little anybody can do. I did follow Peter's recommendation for a product called Soft Claws - a vinyl sheath that goes over the dog's claws and it works very well. It also keeps my dog from slipping as much, which is a good thing, too, as he is getting older and has arthritis. Wish I could explain to the dog two things : don't run on the hardwood floors and use his "indoor voice". Oh well! This company is owned and run by a lovely family and I felt good handing over the keys to my house to them and vacating for three days. I recommend them and their great service!
