Got Stumps?

I've never written a review before, but was so impressed with the Got Stumps? Tree Service that I felt I had to. The service was superb and the whole experience - from our first conversation, to the thoughtful follow-up phone call - was exceptional. If you have a need for an honest, professional, and efficient arborist look no further. I would recommend Got Stumps? to everyone, and I myself will be using them again in the near future.

The crew arrived on time. They reviewed what we was to be done. We added the fruit tree pruning and the hedge trimming as they were happy to do the work. They cut up the tree trunks so that we can use this for firewood later on. They then cleared and hauled away all the smaller debris. The crew was polite and cleaned up the area thoroughly.

They were very courteous and did a fantastic job, I would recommend them to my friends.

His bid was 4x higher than any other companies. It also took him 4 months to come out to provide the estimate.

I received a very cordial call from Henry asking to schedule my service. I was not quite ready to have his crew come as I needed to prioritize. I am a senior on a budget. When I called him back a few weeks later, I asked for a specific date. I did that on short notice. Henry said he was heavily booked but would absolutely make that happen. His crew arrived twenty minutes early (about 7:40 in the morning) and went right to work. They were professional, friendly, and extremely competent. They stayed beyond the big deal time allotment to address my additional questions on other trees that might need future attention. I have used other Angie's list people. Most of have been above average. However, more typically, they do not extend themselves beyond the tight confines of the big deal. I had one other crew check their watches every five minutes and literally dropped the tools in the yard and left debris in walk ways and traffic patterns and departed with a hasty but friendly wave. Henry's crew made sure I was satisfied with everything they did. They kept checking back with me to see if I wanted adjustments and seemed more interested in doing a good job than checking the clock. I have already recommended them to friends. I subsequently left a voice mail message thanking them and reinforced my positive impression. I know it must be extremely expensive to run a crew of 3-5 people, operate pricey, heavy equipment, and deal with traffic. So, I appreciate the treatment they gave me. They treated me as if they had just completed a three thousand dollar job. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate it. ha

The crew showed up a little later than planned, but they made up for it with all the little extras, such as blowing the driveway clean and picking up and chipping limbs from the yard that had nothing to do with the trrees they were working on. If you had not seen the trees before, you would not have known that Henry and his crew/family were ever here. The crew and Henry did a fabulous job and left no mess for us to clean up afterwards, at least nothing that we didn't ask for. We kept all the shredded branches for mulch and all the wood for our fire pit.

Prefer to do work with a more professional company

The crew was extremely skilled. I would certainly recommend them and use them in the future.

I was very impressed with the speed, professionalism of the crew. Friendly service very conscientious.

First appointment was quickly made and work was surveyed and quoted. Quote was very reasonable and they were willing to work with us on some difficult to reach and difficult to remove stumps. Access to the large pine tree could only be established through my neighbors yard. They promptly showed up on the day of removal, they worked hard and very professional. They went out of their way to make sure that my neighbors yard (or mine) did not sustain a scratch. My neighbor and I were very impressed with the excellent work they did and they will definitely by my first call for any future tree work I need.

They showed up when they said...4 fellas to do the work. Very nice, respectable. I feel it was a bit high as far as cost but it needed to be done...All toltal we saved around $200. with the Angie deal.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went fine. They were quick and left the place cleaner than when they got here. They did what they needed to do and were in and out. I spent about $50 above the price of the Big Deal.

It took a month to get scheduled after buying the coupon, but they did well in the end. One small complaint: they charged more for travel time than cutting time, limiting me to less than an hour of work, including a price increase from $199 to $299. I could have used the full hour to cut a few remaining 6" stumps (just the small ones) to the ground level so I wouldn't have to cut them myself by hand! But I think they did good work, the $300 was a fair price given all the needed expertise and machinery, and again, they did an excellent job including dealing with some tricky logistics involving fences, roofs, and neighboring properties inhabited by small children. An A overall, post provisos.

Estimate went beyond the Angie's List coupon but quality of work was great

Company called to set appointment. Crew showed up when they said they would. Did all that I asked. Even did more - chipped and removed some branches and blew debris out of traffic area.

The results are good. Everything looks great. I don’t truly know whether or not the price was good, but one of my friends who is an arborist said that they quoted me far too much for job. I would compare before using them again. When I purchased the Big Deal I provided the company with details of the job and desired appointment dates. They contacted asking me for all the same information I provided online already.

Excellent. Henry & his crew were easy to work with and very accommodating to me every time I changed my mind about something. We first hired them to remove only 3 trees but after they were here a day I decided to have 2 other trees removed and even though they had another job scheduled after ours they cut the other trees as requested. They went above and beyond when they were cutting back a large maple for me that was actually growing on my neighbors property. He needed to go onto the neighbor's property to reach several of the branches he was going to cut back and so he & my husband went over to the neighbors to ask permission. The neighbor came outside with them to see what they would be doing and asked the Got Sumps worker to cut some of the branches back on her side of the tree as well and he was very nice to her and said, "No problem". Happy neighbor, happy client. Well done Got Stumps! It took the crew just over 2 days to complete the work. They did a very nice job of cleaning up. I am amazed at the work they did. Very, very good honest company to work with.

Everything went fine with the job Got Stumps? did; they were very professional, polite. They removed the trees quickly and efficiently; ensuring they cleaned up after the process. The work they did was fantastic; except that they were unable to remove a large stump I wanted removed, due to the location of the stump. My only complaint is an estimate for the job was not given prior to the crew showing up on the day of service (something I should have requested~ but Mr. Miller told me their estimate was competitive and would be given the day of service before work would begin). The estimate given was incredibly high compared to another estimate I had gotten previously from another company. With the prior estimate in hand, I was able to talk Got Stumps? down in price. I realize the job they are doing is not a easy one and I also realize the equipment involved can be quite costly; I am more than willing to pay a fair price for a job such as this. At the end of the day, the majority of the work I needed done was completed but I feel like I could have been charged way too much for the service provided.

My "B" score is mainly because of a bit of misunderstood communication, partly our part, I suppose. I had talked with the owner and told him what I wanted, i.e. the wood piled/put in one place, etc. Unfortunately, my older son told them differently so the wood was left where cut (the owner was not on this job). Not the worker's fault, I guess. They were very friendly and did the job quickly. I would recommend them to others.

4 men were onsite with 95% of work done by 2 of them. Also left a 4 X 6 inch oil spot on the driveway apron under where they had parked their truck. They were halfway done with the job when I was advised it would cost another $273.75 in addition to the coupon amount leaving me feeling I had no alternative but to pay them to complete the job. The used to call that "bait and switch" and I took the bait.

They were great. They showed up on time with a large crew. They completed the project in one afternoon and cleaned up very well. They were careful with the surrounding landscaping. Since then we referred them to relatives, where they removed a 150 foot tall fir tree. Again, their service was outstanding. We would highly recommend them.

The service turned out very good. All services were provided as promised, the costs were acceptable, and they cleaned up well. They were there when they promised, and they left when they promised. I ended up spending 400 Dollars. They gave me the option to pay in cash, or to pay in check, which was odd to me, and I paid in cash, and they gave me a receipt. That caught me off guard a little bit. The did a good job, I don't think they could have done any better.

In early January I purchased an Angie's List deal to have 4 fruit trees pruned and 16 overgrown rhody-type shrubs removed. I knew going in that the deal wouldn't cover the cost for all the work I wanted done and I was comfortable with the total cost of the job. While doing the walk around on that job, Shelby (the crew lead) gave me an estimate for the stump grinding work. Now that I'm scheduled to replace the fence where the stumps were, I called Got Stumps to do the grinding. I knew from prior conversations that the stump grinding jobs were scheduled together and Henry called to say that he had time yesterday afternoon to do the job. Tyler came out at the scheduled time, did a walk through with me, then got to work. An hour later all the stumps along the fence line were well below ground level. I have one more large tree that needs to be thinned for which Shelby has given me a ballpark quote. When I'm ready to do that job, I fully intend to call Got Stumps.
