I attempted to contact this company several times for an estimate and they failed to respond. UPDATE - Steve just called me. The person assigned to provide my estimate had a family situation that prevented him from performing the work. As can happen, the request for estimate was misplaced.
Description of Work: UPDATE - Nothing however, there were contributing factors.

I've had a persistent roof leak near a large window/skylight that has been going on for some time. I worked with another contractor previously who did multiple repairs over the last year, yet it kept occurring. That contractor wanted to do a re-roof of the entire side the roof ($3500 estimate), so I decided to look for other quotes and second opinions. I got Travis' name from a friend / contractor I know, so I gave him a call. He was very responsive and friendly, and we were able to set up a time to do an initial inspection of the problem. Travis showed up promptly at the time we agreed on, and took a look at the roof. He noted several possible causes of the leak and was able to clearly articulate what his plan of execution would be to definitively find the cause(s) of the leak by removing shingles, and what the possible outcomes were (the overall cost would depend somewhat on the result of the investigation and how high up the roof the leak started). If I wanted, I could be there during the work to verify their findings and know that the cause was found. I agreed to this and Travis wrote up a work order within a couple days. The work order was very detailed and covered the specific plan of investigation and repair we discussed. We then scheduled the work for early the next week (I needed to fit into my work schedule). The day of, I got a call bright and early from Travis, who asked about the weather since it looked like it was going to rain all day. It was raining here, so we agreed to postpone to the next day, hoping for a drier day (don't want rain when the roof is ripped open). Again I got a call later that day to confirm the day/time. Today, One of Travis' employees (Lupo, If I recall) came out at the agreed time. We had a short talk and he got to work quickly. Within 45 minutes or so, he came to tell me that he had found the problem, if I wanted to look. He showed me that a defective nail/hole was the cause of the leak, and clearly demonstrated by showing the dry areas above and to the sides, and wetness downroof. He then showed me the patch material and explained the fix. He was finished within an hour, and also used my own spare shingles as I had requested. I got a call from Travis while the employee was finishing up, to let me know that he'd talked to him and found that the work was much faster and smaller than the estimate so he wrote up a new one - for about $200 less. I did a final inspection and was happy with the work and paid the worker. I got an email with the revised work order within 30 minutes. Overall I'm very happy with the company's communication, quality, and professionalism. Oh, and price of the work - they saved me about $3000 compared with the original contractor's estimate.
Description of Work: First, he came to inspect and give an estimate to locate and repair a roof leak. We agreed to proceed, so they wrote a detailed work order, and performed the work quickly and as agreed, finishing the work for less than the original estimate price.

We chose to use another roofing service. The estimate to re-roof our home we got from Four Seasons was initially the lowest, but when we called to have them service as quoted, we were told he had estimated with incorrect material and labor costs. The second estimate he gave was a couple of thousand higher, and we opted to go with North Creek Roofing whose initial estimate was not as high.

It worked out very well. The issue that we had with our roof was effectively resolved. It was done well because, with all of the rain that we have had in Redmond, Washington, their has not been any leakage. The repairs were done on time and done professionally. We did have them do some additional work that was not part of the big deal. We expected the extra $400. I would use them again.

There was no best part with the experience whatsoever, there was nothing positive about it. The guy drove us and he kind of had an attitude. I came over to meet him at the new house and I asked him if he needed to come in to the house to get to the crawl space to do that portion of the inspection and he said, "No, somebody else would be coming out to do that." Then I had to run and pick somebody up. It seemed no longer than 20 min, may be 10 or 15 min and he was gone when I came back. He said he would be emailing us the full report that night. I called him and my husband called him as well and we didn't get the report. We had questions about when they were coming out to do the work because the deal involved sealing all the flashings up on the roof. What we ended up with is some pictures on the roof. He apparently hopped on a ladder, took a bunch of pictures and then wrote-up a report about all the work that needs to be done and how much it was going to cost us for him to do it. We didn't hire him for that, we didn't buy that deal for that. We bought the deal because it said they were going to get up and they were going to seal all the flashings up on the roof and replace some shingles and they would go into the crawl space and see if there were any leaks. We wanted to know when he was coming back out to do that because he wasn't here long enough to do any of that and he said somebody else would call and he was just doing the first part and that he would get us that report that night and he didn't get the report to us. Nobody called us and we called back and he did nothing. I finally emailed him, I believe and said, "You told us you're getting us a report and the rest of the work would be done. We haven't received the report." And he said that he never said that. But when we were talking, when he first came he told both my husband and me on the phone. The report came after that. Then when we got this report he wanted all this money through all these other things and he wasn't in the least interested in doing what we actually had paid for. We just decided to just let it go because we didn't feel comfortable with him. We didn't feel like he was a safe person, there was something really weird going on. He just wanted more money and he wasn't going to do the job. We were going to have to hire someone else to come do what he was supposed to do. We're a little jaded right now about that. He did come when he said he was going to come but he wasn't punctual about the other things he said he would do. I would tell anybody I know to definitely not use him.

Steve was the gentleman who came out and did the initial inspection of my attic. He wasn't prepared to get on the roof. My house is tall, but I figured roofers would be prepared for that, and he didn't ask when we scheduled. In any case, he got me scheduled fast and showed up a few minutes early to the appointment. He found some mold in the attic, which was good. And he proposed adding some soffet venting. However, his bid "forgot" the two hours of labor included in the Angie's List deal, and then he went on vacation for two weeks. I was contacted by Travis who adjusted the bid, but I was left in limbo for two weeks until Steve got back from vacation. Lots of phone tag and difficulty getting back in touch with them. They don't really seem to like to work over email. Finally got scheduled to do the work, and they came out and did it. At the time they did the additional ventilation, they completed the work in the attic. The next day when Environix came out to check out the mold and bid on the remediation for that, the inspector said that the cardboard baffles had not been installed per the contract. Steve claimed that they had chosen intentionally not to install the cardboard baffles to help air flow. As far as I know, that is a load of BS. Two different people at Environix, a different roofer, and a home inspector all say that they have never heard of that before, and that the industry standard is to put the baffles in to keep loose insulation from clogging the vents. Granted the other roofer is a competitor, but none of the other people are. Overall, too much hassle trying to work with them. I had Environix add the baffles, because I decided I didn't want them back out at my house again. I don't trust them to give honest bids or to do the work properly. Based on the frustration of my experience, I am astounded that they managed to have anything but a one star rating.

Fantastic experience! I knew we were in trouble the first storm we had this winter. I heard terrible noises coming from our roof above our bedroom. I thought we were going to loose our whole roof! The next day I went out to take a look and saw at least 2 shingles gone. One was in the tree next to our house!!! The other was on the ground. I was worried, the wind was still blowing and I could see 2 more shingles flapping up and down. I went to Angie's list and was so happy to see the offer from Four Seasons Roofing to come and do an inspection and replace up to 5 shingles! By the time I was able to schedule a visit, we had 2 more storms, and lost more shingles. When Steve came out to take a look, I was reassured they would give a thorough inspection of the roof and let me know what was needed. And they did that and more! Truly Roof Professionals!! We purchased our home new in 2004, and Steve educated me on the different kinds of shingles, as well as what to expect for the life of the shingles we have. He let me know how the roof has been maintained by the cleaners, and what to look for in a roof and gutter cleaner. The next day Steve had someone on the roof! They took photos of the area that lost shingles, and it was worse than expected. Down to bare wood! They repaired the area, and shingled it. They also noticed that when the original roof was installed, there were some areas that were not done properly. They took apart those areas and put it together so we would not have leakage in the future. He sent photos of before and after so we could see all the work that was done. Wow! It looked really nice. Having work done on our house always makes me nervous. Since I am not knowledgeable about construction, there is a great deal of trust put into those who come to fix or repair things that break down. Four Seasons Roofing was above and beyond in their service, communication, and education offered. We paid extra for the additional work that was done as well as for additional shingles and the price was fair and affordable ($108) - - another worry when needing work done on your home is how much extra will it cost? Knowing the roof was done well was the biggest peace of mind. I will definitely recommend them to all who inquire about roofing!!!

I kept getting follow-up calls and finally told him that I was going to have a friend do the roof and that he should refund my $199.00 because they didn't do anything to the roof other than tell me I needed to replace it. I never heard another word from them.
Description of Work: He came out and looked at my roof, took some pictures and then told me that I needed a new roof. The cost would be almost $9000.00 to put a roof on an 1800 sq. ft. manufactured home. Then he left.

Travis was great...very thorough and willing to explain everyting in detail. At the end of the job, I was pleased with the price for the level of service and work I received. The experience stretched over two months...here's how it went. Travis scheduled an appointment to look at the roof in early September 2013 within a day or so of talking with me. After spending time looking over the problem, he explained that he would have to take off the siding in two suspicious areas to determine exactly what was wrong. We could feel a soft spot where the roof was obviously damaged, but he explained that water often travels and he wasn't sure where the leak originated. He said he could do the diagnosis for $400, but that he couldn't guarantee what was under the siding, so wouldn't give me a firm bid for repair work. He explained several unpleasant scenarios that I hoped would not be my problem and they ranged from relatively inexpensive to awful. He did mention that I would almost definitely have to have a portion of the deck lining replaced and that since it was from 2008, he would have to look into finding the matching pattern. Almost a month went by with regular calls every week from Travis apologizing for the delay. He explained in detail howhe was trying to get the matching vinyl. I really appreciated his diligence--contacting a local sales rep and the vinyl manufacturer, etc. to get what he needed. In the end, he wasn't able to match the pattern--it's no longer made. So we agreed on a pattern that was a close match. At that point we scheduled the work a few weeks out. On the day we had scheduled Travis sent an outstanding workman (craftsman, really) to handle the diagnosis work. Once the siding was off, it was obvious where the leak was coming from. It was also obvious that this was no new leak. The wood on the frame of the house was rotted and would need to be replaced in addition to repairing the leak and the soft spot. Travis explained what needed to be done and we agreed on a price. The work began immediately. I refer to the workman as a craftsman, because his finishing work was beautiful. And, he asked me several times if I was sure I wanted to use the vinyl that didn't quite match. I think it offended his sense of how the job should be finished to use it! From my perspective, it was not a big deal. The location is in a far corner and the choice was do it this way or pay another $11,000 to reline the entire 40x40 roof deck. It was a no-brainer. I would work with Four Seasons Roofing in a heartbeat, and since I own a home with a roof deck in the damp and mouldy Northwest, I'm sure we'll be working together again.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my roof deck that was difficult to pinpoint. It was a slow leak and not urgent. There was an obvious soft spot in one corner where the underlying flooring was damaged.

It was not satisfactory from the beginning. I bought the deal on Jan 17. I did receive an auto email back and then another auto email on the 20th asking for my number. I responded and they said that appts would not be scheduled until the week of feb 10th. Feb 10th passed and no word.I called and Travis said he had sent email that din't go through. I checked the website and it had been sent the day of my call. I scheduled an apt for what I thought would be my service. Travis showed up to give me an estimate for additional work, but not to do the work. When the estimate came back on feb 11, almost a month after my purchase, I was shocked. what was stated as included in my deal was now an estimate of $800 and I could use my deal against this for 2 hours. This 2 hours would also be used for his first visit to estimate. I didn't need an estimate, I needed service. If he wants to try to sell me more that's fine, but I wanted the offer to be completed for the amount purchased. Basically his deal would be $199 for 2 hours of work. Not much of a deal.

[member name removed] - We are sorry that you did not have a good experience with our company and that things didn't work out the way you anticipated with the inspection/maintenance coupon. As we originally explained to you we come out first to perform an inspection of the roof and any trouble areas in the roof. We then write up and inspection report that will include a scope of work of the repairs needed. If any of the repairs needed go above and beyond the value of the coupon then the prices are listed out for you. The coupon you purchased for the inspection and maintenance package includes up to 2-hours of time with you supplying any materials needed. Your repairs and roof cleaning goes above and beyond the included amount of time and that is why there are additional costs involved. We wish you best, Four Seasons Roofing

The Four Season's representative came out and spent quite a bit of time looking over the roof/taking pictures and explaining suggested work and pricing. We went ahead with his recommendations. Because of the very cold weather and rain the work was not done right away which was not a problem. The work was scheduled for Dec 18, 2013 for 1:00 PM. An hour before arrival I got a call telling me that the roofer was delayed and would be about an hour late. Not a problem. The roofer arrived at 2:00 and completed the work in the planned two hour time. He finished when it was almost dark. I was unable to view his work until the next day, which looked fine. Since that time we have had at least three significant rain storms with strong winds. No leaks have occurred. Overall, very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: We had several intermittent leaks in the kitchen and around the fireplace. The leak in the kitchen was new. Two other roofers had worked on the chimney, but did not fix the leaks.

Steve came out to give me an estimate. He said he would guesstimate the roof would be about $6,000.00, but he would run the numbers and get me a final estimate. Two days later he called back and said the estimate still wasn't finished, but the cost would be over $10,000. I asked him for a final estimate and if the $199 I paid would be taken off from the cost of the roof. He never responded to the $199 question. He did finally send me an estimate, but in it he listed removal off one (in red)roof. I e-mailed him again and reminded him that I had told him I was pretty sure that the shingles had been put on top of the torch down. He said they would need to come out and take a section of the roof out to check it at a cost of $350 or $375 not sure which. Also, if there was a second roof to remove it would be an additional $1,500 or $3,000.00 for two, still no reply to the question of the $199. At that point I decided to go with a different provider. They may do an excellent job, but I just did not trust the estimator.

In responds to [member name removed] review; i did not come out to give an estimate but to do a roof inspection as part of part of roof preventative maintenance program with Angie's List Coupon a $199.00 coupon. When I arrived [member name removed] informed me that she has major leaks. So I inspected the roof and attic space and explained that the roofing company she hirered had installed a steep slope roofing materials on her low slope roof which the manufacture doesn't recommend. I then explained the roofer did not install new counter flashing metal around her chimney but reused the old flashing which he try to nail the metal flashing back to the chimney brick. Also the low slope membrane the roofer installed in the gutter areas was not cemented or glue around the scuppers drains, which is require by the manufacturer. With all the leaking and how her roofer cut corners when installing the roof, most likely the roof was not installed right and this would be a major repair. I then pointed out to her that all her neighbor houses which were the same style homes all had low slope roofing product on their homes. I then explained her best option would be contact the roofing company that installed the roof and ask them about the warranty. That I would help her by going over her contract to see how they proposed the installation of her roof and what their warranty was and help her to get them to honor their product. She informed me that she did not have a contract and that it was a friend of the family that installed her roof and he told her it was a 35 year roof. I told her to get in contact with him and see what he had to say about his work. She told me that she did not have the budget for a new roof but could I give her a bid on the roof product we recommend. I told her I would go measure her roof and run the numbers and get back in with her in a couple days. Which I did for low slope roofing TPO $8,815.14 or PVC for $10,035.89 and this was a six page detail proposal with a time and material clause for any thing we could not see until the roof was removed so no corners get cut during the installation. This proposal included a Limited Life time warranty which amounts to a 25 year material and labor warranty would be assured by us and the manufacture since we are a certified installer with the manufacture. [member name removed] informed she just didn't have the money. I spoke with [member name removed] about her review and stated I did not understand this miss understanding and that we were going to refund her $199.00 coupon with Angie's List. We hope that she found a reputable roofing company that will stand behind their product and not just say they will.
