Evergreen Tree Care

They did a real good job. I have used them before. They come in, shred everything, haul it away, and clean things up. So, they do a good job. My interactions with them had been fine. It took them about an hour-and-fifteen and they had four guys here and everybody had to be paid.

The consuting arborist came out to see what may need to be done in our yard (which is located on an approx. acre), took his time and discussed and looked at each and every tree, bush we had. We then scheduled an appointment for a crew of 4 men to come out to complete the work, which took approximately 5 hours. They did a fantastic job!! They hand pruned a lot of the bushes rather than just taking an electric clipper to them, which I appreciated. The clean up was top of the line. I actually couldn't tell they had even been there, no limbs, leaves or anything left behind. They had a couple of follow-up calls to make sure we were pleased with their work and if everything was done to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Evergreen to anyone.

The crew was early, worked the entire time, were professional, friendly, and did an amazing job.

Maynard and his crew did a marvelous job of opening up our view and taking the sail out of several large trees. They removed much dead wood, and carefully trimmed branches to still allow the trees to stay healthy and grow. The entire crew seemed to love their work and they worked together, consulting each other as the need arose, like a real team. They smiled a lot, were polite and very communicative, and were quite efficient. They cleaned up after they were done and it was as if they had not been here, except the view was greatly improved.

This is our second time using this company. They came on time for sceduled appts. Were then VERY knowledgeable of the task at hand. with answers and suggesions for all our questions. The members of the company "shrub5" sub group that did the actual work were friendly and courteous. When finished, clean-up was completed in our yard, and the yard of our neighbor behind the border trees.

Awesome. Very efficient, professional, and totally cleaned up so well you would never know they were there, except for the blue sky we can now see.

It was not good from the start. First, they cancelled on the day to arrive. When it was rescheduled, they never returned my call. They finally showed up around noon, after another call from me. They cut the tree's requested, but made a mess of everything, and didn't clean up very well after they finished. They trimmed one, and made a mess of it. I dough it will survive. They didn't trim the other tree's that were plainly marked. All of this when it was explained from me and their agent. Finally they just left, and didn't say a word. They are off my list for any other work I might need in the future. mm

Workers showed up 2 hours earlier than discussed. Fortunately, I was home. Work was done quickly and professionally. Two pruned trees came out very well. One was a plum on a steep slope and when done it was cleaned up, opened up and looks very natural. Another was a laurel tree which extended significantly over the street. It needed significant pruning to meet city guidelines. Looks a little odd now (like a very tall lolly pop), but considering what they had to work with, I think they did a good job. The tree removal also well done. They did an excellent job cleaning up after. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the work.

They're a very large outlet and they aggressively cruise the neighborhood here. I have a fairly large lot and they brought in a large crew to do a fair sized project. They came in and did the work and were gone within a bout 4 hours. I was shocked with the little amount of time they were here. The fellow who did the quote for them told me that he was an Arborist and he sold me the job and never came back to qualify the job with the crew. When they came he left and never let them know the details of the contract because the guys were asking me what to do. It was so disappointing but these guys are very hard working. If you want a tree chopped down or tree trimming work they were very clueless nor did they have the proper equipment to do the work properly. I've got a large number of maples and I needed them trimmed and their upper parts removed to reduce the sail effect and interlocking, they couldn't get up to the point to get the trees from interlocking. They came back again and still asked me what did I want done. They need a bucket truck where they can go up a couple of feet to trim very large trees. They did some terrible hack work on a hedge I had and their quality control in their Arbor work was just terrible.

The person who came to my home did a fine job of inspecting my trees, advising me and offering a price -- which was a very good price. I told him I would check out the company before completing the order. He had claimed to be a certified arborist, his "front man" (scouting for work) claimed that he would send an arborist, AND the company's literature claims to be an ISA member. ISA does not recognize either the company or the person who came to my house as being part of their membership.

The team of four trimmed and shaped trees, rhodies, and bamboo per our request and specifications. Berry bushes and dead plants and trees were taken out and all debris was taken away. The team used a chipper and they took all that debris away, too. Contact with this company came from their cold call to our home. We needed the work done so I made an appointment with Bruce for a free estimate. He came out and walked the yard with me and gave me a free estimate. I checked the company out on Angie's List and also talked to a friend of mine who has rental property. Turns out she had used them before herself and had been satisfied. The company checked out well. I called Bruce back and he returned within a day or so and gave us a firm written estimate after we walked the yard again. We did not make any changes from the time of the initial estimate. The final estimate and final cost matched the initial estimate. I was very pleased that they didn't cut anything that we didn't want cut. Bruce and his team were polite and professional and they did a very good job taking away all the debris. They did a very good job of cleaning up the yard and driveway before they left. This was a big expense for us but I think we got our money's worth.

They weren't quite perfect. When they actually came out to do the service, they were quite punctual. There were a couple of times when people were supposed to come up to do the checking the place out and doing the initial estimate and that was less good. They were pretty punctual but not really 100%.

The job was performed on time and on schedule. All the workers were knowledgeable and friendly and had all the proper equipment. Not a second was wasted, including the clean-up. I'd be happy to call them again for any tree service, especially large trees.

They came out to the house when expected and were very efficient with the work. When we noticed that there were a couple trees that we thought were going to be cut down, but that were not on the original list, they came out and took care of them at no cost. They were very professional. We worked with Kristin and she was very courteous and thorough. We would use them again.

in the process of removing dead wood from the very large fir tree along the front drive, a driveway light shade was badly damaged . in compensation for this pruning was included for a large maple tree in the back yard. I was informed of the damage to the light shade in person by John Sinclair who is the Mercer Island representative for Evergreen and he insisted on making compensation which I thought was more than adequate for the damage involved. further, John has been extremely helpful in addressing my concerns for tree safety and rodent control as well as offering suggestions at my request about how to improve resale value of the house with selected pruning and maintenance of various shrubs and plantings---always with attention to my budget. I have been very pleased with John and his crew and am in the process of continuing to work with them.

Phone lines have been disconnected; I cannot get ahold of anyone and no one has shown up to do my service today. Now that I have looked into them here on the list I have decided I will not be doing business with them at all.

Very professional -- I hired the right guys. This type of work is expensive, complicated, and involves matters not known well by the typical homeowner. I had held up doing this work for these reasons, but finally decided to go ahead after seeing the good results at my neighbors' house. Arborist John did a great job of reviewing options and helping me decide what should be done. The professional and friendly crew led by Garret showed up right on time. They explained what they would be doing and asked me if I had any questions. Their work was done in a reasonable amount of time and in a conscientious manner. They asked me midpoint and the end if I was satisfied with the work. They were responsive to my inputs, doing some fine tuning. The job was completed on time with excellent cleanup & no damage. The appearance of the trees is excellent, and they met my objectives.

Although I cleared time in my schedule for this appointment, "Joe R" from Evergreen Tree Care did not arrive. No one from this business got back in touch with me to cancel or apologize for skipping the appointment.

Had a small tree to remove and cut up for firewood. There was a bit of confusion up front, but it was quickly and happily resolved. I would certainly call on them next time. Cleanup was excellent.

The work they did was probably fine, but I did feel a bit rushed. I know their business model is "we're in the area working and can offer this price now", but even at that I probably wouldn't have gone for it except we did need some work done, and they offered to spread the bill over 3 months on my charge card. I accepted, then they billed it all at once, and when I realized what had happened, they just said, "Oh sorry, the rep forgot to tell us". Doesn't help me much, when I have the huge bill right at the holidays, instead of spread out.

The crew arrived on time. They worked the whole day and in a very satisfactory manner. Cleanup was not easy on our lot and they did as promised. I also worked outside as I thought this would be an excellent strategy so that I could answer questions as they arose and monitor the process. It turned into a great learning experience for me as I could ask questions; They were very helpful. Incidentally, I had previously read comments on Angie's list and that helped me know what to expect in this process. It did seem like a lot of money but I have no basis to know if it was out of line.

I was very impressed with the crew that did my work. After reading the reviews, I feel I was lucky to get the crew, I did. They used a wood chipper and cleaned up very well. The downed trees were cut to 12" rounds .for my use. The crew was 5 men, 2 cutters and 3 clean up. My using them again would depend on getting the same crew.

We received an unsolicited visit from a salesman who proposed an appointment with an arborist to come out and check our trees. The arborist showed up promptly at the appointment time and informed us that three trees needed to be taken down and "wind sailing" the four remaining trees that were stressed. There was a misunderstanding about what wind sailing was (does not look like the brochure pictures). After removing three trees, the tree cutter stated that a fourth tree needed to be removed, the arborist returned and agreed. The quoted price was an additional $600.00. At the time of the quote, Evergreen offered to remove the wood, so we requested the wood be removed. After two weeks, only two pickup truck loads had been removed by a third party. The remainder of the wood rounds were split and transported to the front yard by our family before being hauled away by neighbors and folks on Craig's List. On the positive side, the tree cutting crew showed up at the appointed time and did a good job clearing out the limbs and chipping them. Also positive is that after we contacted Evergreen management, they sent out a crew to fix the limbs on the windsailed trees and reduced the price to account for our labor in removing the wood rounds.

I didn't use them because of the price and a couple of people told me not to use them.
