After agreeing to schedule work, they delayed calling to schedule, and then they were inflexible about about timing when I pointed out their available times conflicted with already arranged international travel.

Gave a professional bid and good advice. Wish I had them do the work instead of All Round Tree Service who bid appeared to be less and turned out costing more.

The Evergreen crew did an amazing job! They were very efficient and professional, leaving very healthy trees in their wake. :-) The trees that were removed were very cleanly cut down to the ground and the sizable chunks of the trunks were cut into useful pieces for our wood-burning fireplace (after a but of time to dry). The branches and other debris were chipped into the truck they brought, which was quite interesting to watch. They definitely came well-equipped. The crew climbed into the trees to be trimmed and raised their crown levels a bit, cleaning out all the major limbs as they went. Our maple tree was an especially difficult task as it was leaning over the house quite significantly, but the crew managed to carefully trim it without any debris falling on the house. All these trees are in a very healthy state and we're amazed at how much light is coming through now; it also feels a lot better knowing that the next wind storm won't be shaking loose any tree debris. :-)

Very thorough estimate agent, walk through and mark areas. The agent was courteous, friendly and professional. The work team was right on time, brought their own chipper and work truck built for trimming transport. The quickly completed the job, completed the chipping and cleanup including blow sweeping. The price was competitive with other contractors I have used in the past. Everyone at Evergreen Tree Care was prompt, courteous and friendly. Good overall experience.

they completed the Job as scheduled and did a complete cleanup of the cuttings. We walked them through the yard an shared our comments and suggestion. they also educated us on the best way to care for these trees We will have them back again!!!
Description of Work: We have a large yard, they pruned 9 separate trees including very large fruit trees and several Lace Leaf Maples. The fruit trees include 4-way cherries, three apple trees, and several plums. The Lace Leafs shrubs are over 40 years old and they did a fantastic job of pruning these while maintaining their "natural look" and they remain the center pieces of our yard.

It went well. The arborist came to the house and looked over the trees. He provided an estimate and we agreed to the scope. The crew showed up within the time provided a few days later and completed the work. They did a nice, professional job of climbing the trees to prune and cleaned up the large mess.

The arborist provided a quote for the same work in the fall of 2016 and again in July 2017. Same guy both times - first time the bid was $1,400 and this time it was $4,300. He had written the first quote and work to be done on the back of his business card so when I asked about the huge difference in quotes and showed him the card, he began to double talk telling me it wasn't the same work. It probably is no coincidence the company does not provide formal written bids and wants you to accept their verbal quotes or they have to come back out to rebid. They telemarket for appointments for their bidding guys, so I suggest if you get a call - HANG UP! The three other bids I received were all much less expensive and in writing. Avoid these guys at all costs!

The whole experience was uncomfortable. The company has offices in Issaquah and Sammamish, Washington and I don't know which of those two offices made the cold call. They knocked on our door and offered to take a look at our woods (we have 2 acres of evergreens) and see if there was anything we could do to make them better. Next thing I know we're being told 5 or 6 evergreens around our house are in dire need of trimming so they won't blow down from the high winds we get here. I mentioned SEVERAL times we couldn't afford them but they scared my wife enough she requested the trimming service for two of the more "dangerous" trees. There were (and still are) several unhealthy trees within the vicinity of the house that should be removed and we requested that service. The representative informed us they were "arborists" and their focus was saving healthy trees. They refused to acknowledge the unhealthy trees were a priority and convinced my wife the healthy trees were the greater danger. They scheduled a team, who arrived punctually. The coordination among the team members was good, safety was observed. The teams deployed and cut away limbs, cleaned up as they went along and were gone all within an hour. Two trees trimmed to the tune of $869.60 only to have two limbs from one tree promptly blow down in the first storm landing next to the house and barely missing my car. Three more limbs came down from those trees during the next three consecutive storms. This was back in September of 2015, it is now Summer 2017 and one of those two trees is looking stressed. I am STILL angry about being bullied into this with scare tactics then hounded when I couldn't pay as much as they wanted when they wanted it. We are on a small fixed income and it took me months to save enough money to pay them their fee. Attached is a picture of the two trees - who are the same species - and two of the unhealthy trees. The "fixed" tree on the left is the "healthy" tree that is starting to fail. We water and feed these trees, by the way. If you have a sharp eye you can see where quite a few of the smaller branches are half dead and the top is also dead. Beware buyer! Get a master gardener to assess your woods, not some money-hungry, high-pressure company who takes advantage of your ignorance and does a slap-dash job.

The arborist that came out was Christopher, the same one that helped me with the previous job. We discussed the work and he quoted me $800 which I thought was reasonable based upon his description of the work to be done. The crew of 4 arrived as scheduled and it took maybe an hour. A couple chainsaw cuts and a pole pruner. No complaints about the crew, it was that I felt the job was way over priced. I realize they quote by the job but when I complained about it there was no interest in seeing if they could make me happy and a continuing customer. No followup from the arborist. I don't appreciate that lack of customer support and won't contact them for future needs.
Description of Work: I had two trees in the back yard that needed to be brought under control. I contacted Evergreen because they had previously wind-sailed my 3 tall firs in the front yard. They did a good job and I thought the price was reasonable.

See above. I rated the crew at least a B, perhaps an A. The price was so far out of line with job and the complete unwillingness of Company to reconsider price after the job turned out to be much less than the estimator planned was entirely unacceptable to me.
Description of Work: A single moderate size hemlock, 50-60' tall 18 " diameter base. I asked do it to be just put on the ground, no cleanup etc. The cost $800. The estimator gave me a biil of goods about needing to take it down in pieces because of its proximity to a deck. The crew arrived on way home from last jobs, Two trucks 5-6 people. We visited for a few minutes. They looked it over got out a chainsaw and two guys fell the tree. They were here and gone in less than 20 minutes, about 5 spent falling the tree. I called the person who did the bid to reconsider price since his crew just fell the tree. Incidently, I was I'll at the time or would have done exactly what his cre did.

Excellent service from start to finish. I could not have been happier with Evergreen Tree Care, they came on time for the free estimate, were able to book an appointment the next week and even when I changed my mind as to what I'd like them to do they re-arranged their schedule to make it work. The team arrived on time before 8am, walked our property with me, confirmed all my requirements and explained everything they would do. They picked up our kids (very heavy) play structure and moved it from under the tree, made sure all patio furniture was safely out of the way and went to work. They worked all day and by the time I got home from work they had cleared up so well my yard (front and back) looked better than before they arrived! The arborist followed up to check everything was to my satisfaction and even offered that the team could come back to remove one more branch that I thought maybe should have been removed. They came back within the week and took that extra branch off! The trees look so much better - much better than we had even thought. We now get sunlight in our yard and they look so much healthier and safer for our kids to play in the fort, which was placed back exactly the right place. Thanks to the Evergreen Tree Care team!

We were scheduled for mid day originally but they were behind and had to reschedule a week or two later. The crew was extremely careless and broke our very sturdy fence and damaged several plants. I pointed out to them several times that they were dragging large boughs of several branches across the planted areas not affected by the downed trees but they didn't seem to be able to adjust their behavior. We were charged $200 to get someone to pick up the wood and decided to advertise it on Craig's list for free. It took 2 days to get rid of it, but we did. I had to call twice to get a refund for the charge. There was a large amount of wood and it filled our backyard so we wanted to get rid of it asap. I found out that the man who did the bid had forgotten to even mark the box on our form to get someone to pick up the wood so we weren't even scheduled although we had been charged. I had to call 3 times to try and get someone out to fix the broken fence post. The man has been here partial days twice and keeps getting called away to other jobs. It was 10 days before we were contacted even though I was told he would call within a day. I called different people in the office at least 6 times over the damage and the billing. This is a large company, they have 22 crews. They will work quickly and the price was good but they are very careless and the damage isn't worth it. We have used 2 other crews from different companies with much better results. We chose them because they had a large crew and could get the job done in one day. I wish we had gone with someone else. The disconnect between the "arborist" who came out to give us the original bid and the crew is large. He said he hoped there wouldn't be any damage instead of preparing us and letting us know to dig up any plants that were close by so we could save them. I had to reseed the entire lawn and also rake up large amounts of sawdust. (Also not informed about this). Don't use this company, try someone else.
