Description of Work: Cleared out root ball in sewer line. We bought the special for $150 and I guess the root was farther down the sewer line than was covered on the special, so the cost was more.

Description of Work: The person who cleaned my gutters last week thought that the "side sewers" of my house might be clogged and recommended that I have them inspected. I had NW Sewer and Drain come to my house yesterday to check the matter out. The gentlemen from NW Sewer and Drain used his iPhone to go on-line to a City of Seattle data base to see whether my "side sewers" were connected to the main sewer line in the street. He found that I have no "side sewers" connected to the main sewer line and, in fact, I have no "side sewers." Rather, I have some intermittently spaced, underground drain tiles that lead from the bottom of the down spouts of my house to a storm drain in the street. He told me that a video inspection would do no good and neither would a roto-rootering of the drain tiles. He opined that the occasional streams of water that run down my driveway during heavy rains may be caused by something other than the drain tiles overflowing. He told me there was nothing he could really do and declined to present me with a bill for his time at my house (about 20 minutes). He was friendly, professional and forthright and a delight to deal with. I recommend NW Sewer & Drain to anyone who needs help with sewer or drain problems.

Description of Work: NW Plumbing contacted me the same day I bought the deal. I spoke to Ryan the day before he came out. I explained my problem (kitchen sink slow drain), and what I'd like additionally while he was at my home. Ryan confirmed that normally NW Sewer doesn't deal with kitchen pipe clogs inside the home, they specialize in the larger sewer pipes outside the home. He agreed to see what he could do for the sink drain, and to check out the risk factors on our property for potential sewer problems. |The kitchen sink drain is very old, and ties in strangely (with a cast iron'T' pipe that goes off in one direction connected to nothing (plugged). There are also three different metals within a few inches of each other. Ryan cleared the drain & made a couple of recommendations that my husband can handle. He also showed me where the sewer is located via city sewer drawings. He also let me know that if we wish to install a bathroom in the basement, it would need to be connected to a pump. |I am very happy with the work and the consultation with Ryan and NW Plumbing.

Description of Work: We had standing greywater coming out of our guest bathroom. We called them early that morning and they arrived an hour later. They tried to find the blockage by feeding a snake through our toilet but ended up having to dig in the front yard. They eventually found the blockage in the pipes outside the house leading to the sewer and cleared out all of the roots and branches. The issue was fixed but we were worried about it occurring again. They had an opening in their schedule so the next day they returned and installed an clean out access and added a liner to the deteriorating plumbing.

Description of Work: They tried to find a blockage in our storm drain system with a pipe camera and locator. While they were unable to scope the entire system to find the blockage, they did what they could in a professional and courteous manner. I would use them again for plumbing issues.

Description of Work: They hydro jetted the roots of a large tree in our side sewer and then placed a new permaline all the way to the main sewer. Very happy with the success of the job. Spencer seemed more knowledgeable and trustworthy compared to the estimators from other sewer/plumber companies.

Description of Work: They dug a hole and installed a clean-out for the sewer line on one side of our house. Ryan came and took a look and had a can-do attitude with no attempt to upsell. Very professional and efficient with an estimate below competitors price. They do quality work and a reasonable price, and what I loved most was their low-key respectful approach, not trying to "scare" us into doing more than we needed at the moment. Earlier in the year, Cameron came and performed a very difficult clean-out and didn't give up or leave before he was successful. This was so refreshing since we've had a lot of plumbing problems in the past and have dealt with our share of plumbers with whom we have not been happy! |We will use them for our next phase of replacing the sewer line.

Description of Work: Relined side sewer from the property line to the City sewer main.

Description of Work: Ran a camera from my downstairs toilet out to the sewer line and assessed its condition. They found minimal tree growth, no cooking oil build up in and a clay pipe in very good condition. Advised on ways to continue to continue to monitor and prevent problems in the future. Great experience.

Description of Work: Cleaned Sewer Line

Description of Work: A trenchless pipe burst replacement morphed into a pipe liner replacement due complexity unearthed when an access hole could not be dug large enough without endangering the structural integrity of the basement cement floor. Additional complications arose due to some elbows and turns. It took some additional time and cost to migrate mid-job from a burst to a liner. The workers were excellent and the vendor got the job done without passing on the additional cost of the liner to the customer. They also installed a clean-out at the rear access hole. |

Description of Work: This job was a re-line of the most accessible 30 feet of my side sewer. The guys were great from start to finish, showing up on time, doing exactly what they said they'd do, cleaning up well, and being interesting people, to boot. No complaints. A caveat for Angie's List purchasers: as with a number of big AL offers, the precise offer is bare bones, and you will almost certainly pay more than that by the time the actual job is done; e.g., the offer may include digging of a four foot deep hole; if your pipe is five feet down, expect a price jump. This is fair, just recognize that the offer as listed may be a loss leader, and other charges will accrue.

Description of Work: Investigated slow drainage of main sewer line using camera. Then used water jet to clean gunk on pipe walls since no tree roots in line as had originally been suspected. Additional detective work resulted in pipe near cleanout in basement being disassembled at choke point where more gunk found. This pipe disassembly was volunteered by the serviceman (he could have just stopped after the water jetting) and proved to be the main source of the problem. Problem fixed!
