Nw Sewer & Drain

Outside line from laundry was relined and an outside clean-out was installed- work was done in 2014. When drain line started backing up recently, I had a different company come out to clear the drain, thinking it was a simple matter of hair and lint build-up. They were unable to clear the drain, because they discovered that the drain was broken and filled with mud! My understanding is that a reline should last quite a bit longer than 6 years. I called NW sewer on December 29 and it's been nearly two weeks and I haven't received the promised call back from the owner.

Aaron came out promptly to fix a leak under my house. He spent 1 hour shopping for Pex and 1 hour fixing the leak. He charged me $150 for parts, $186 for a service call and $300 for the inconvenience of going under my house for a total of $700, which he then discounted to $600. The cost of parts was about $20 to replace 3' of pipe. Aaron did not put the insulation back on the pipes when he was done, he just left it hanging. I was surprised he charged a fee to go under the house. I called Spencer to politely ask about the bill. His response was aggressive, unpleasant and irritated. According to him, they don't make any money on small jobs like this and I should be grateful I got my leak fixed for $600.

They did a great job. Very professional and tidy. I would definitely recommend them.

Took some time to get the initial response from them. Didn't get any better after first contact. They came out and said that a locator service needed to be called. Location service came out, located the leak and also located where the pipe enters the house. All other utility lines have also been marked. Two months later, still no quote. Still have no idea what it's going to cost to replace the line. Still have a rising water bill as it leaks more. Won't be calling them again, I will just call someone else that will respond.

We are incredibly pleased with the work performed by Spencer and his crew. We originally received a quote in 2017 and when finally ready to proceed with the work Spencer held the pricing. NW Sewer & Drain replaced our water line and sewer line. Spencer also suggested that we at a minimum replace the galvanized pipe from the front of the house where the new water line meets the house plumbing to our kitchen and laundry. We really appreciated the recommendation. I was really impressed with Spencer from day one and did not reach out to any of the previous companies even though one was cheaper for part of the work. Spencer gave us a detailed quote. Spencer and his team provided excellent customer service and we had quick answers for all of our questions. I contacted this company after having a video inspection of my sewer completed and having received a quote for an initial phase of work from another company. The initial contact was very good. I forwarded a description of the job and a copy of the video inspection--including a diagram showing the known problem areas. Spencer, the owner, replied through an intermediary that he would not quote the job as requested. He wanted to do only the smallest portion of the job first and then quote the rest after he had done a physical inspection after having dug up part of the line. He never made a site visit and was rude and argumentative when I explained that we had several known issues that for sure needed to be quoted. I felt that he was unwilling to quote 'apples to apples' with the other contractors, but rather sought to suck me into a low ball bid that would become progressively more expensive due to scope creep once he got his foot in the door. I did not like that he responded without visiting my home, and that he did not contact me personally in response to my request for quote. Therefore, I terminated the engagement before even receiving a quote from this company.

Excellent job. They arrived when they said they would, keep us current as to what was happening and what came next, and they stay late working in the rain to get the job done on time!

Learn from our mistake-if you have sewer line issues-start with NW Sewer and Drain...instead of your plumber.

It went well. The amount of work they thought they would have to do was much less than they had to actually do. They were professional and the drain was cleared out in no time. They sent us an updated invoice for the work they had to do and the transaction was really smooth.

I appreciated the responsiveness in terms of communications and sharing of information by the NW Sewer and Drain team. They were prompt to visit and make the initial project estimate. Following the location of a blockage, they scheduled a team to visit consisting of Josh and Derrick. Both of these young men shared what they had found and were good at clarifying what the problems were and suggesting options for addressing the fix. They were also prompt about being on site when expected and they did a good job of clean-up when the work was finished. I also had a good experience dealing with Jennifer who works with scheduling and with billing. She was also prompt to return calls and emails when I had questions.

Everything well extremely well. The cost of the TV inspection and hydro jet was very reasonable. The only negative we have was the cost of replacing the 3" ABS runs. The estimate we were given called for it taking two workers 1 entire day to do the work. It actually took them less than 3 hours but we were charged the entire estimate minus $150 because they needed less material.

It was always a pleasure to deal with this company, both via the office and with the workers on site. They explained plans clearly, gave me a clear written bid, showed up when scheduled, and followed through as expected, not leaving any horrible mess. There isn't anything exciting or glamorous about a repaired sewer line--nothing to show off to company--but it is great to have the work completed before real troubles set in.

I was given a next day appointment time, and was told I would get a call when the repair person was on the way. I did get the call and arrival was well within the window I had been given. Spencer was impressively knowledgeable and professional, as well as friendly and happy to answer questions. Since I really was not well informed about our sewer access point (though I have lived here for 27 years), upon arrival Spencer experimented with a small access point near the garage laundry sink. Then he used some electronic scanning equipment outside and found the actual sewer entry point. That allowed him to use a larger scale machine to flush the system of roots and detritus. By the time he left, all our toilets and sinks were flowing freely. I live in an older neighborhood (early 1960s), and the sewer linkage connecting my home to the city sewer has definitely deteriorated. I had some of it redone several years ago, and now it is probably time to do the rest. To illustrate my faith in this service provider, I have made an appointment for next week for him to bid on replacing this infrastructure.

The repair was completed quickly and the property left in good condition. They were professional, courteous and flexible.

The tech took a look at the drainage system (including using the optical scope) and although he didn't find a clear culprit, he provided me with a lot of expert advice on what was likely happening and which types of companies I should call next. Because it turned out that his company wasn't an expert in the type of work I needed, and because he didn't do anything beyond an inspection, he didn't charge me anything, which was quite generous--I would have been happy to write a check.

Great. Another company was on-site giving an estimate when NW Sewer arrived. The first company representative stated, "there is no way we can beat NW Sewer pricing, and the guy that just arrived is good, real good. I know 'cause he used to work for us as our lead project manager". If that wasn't a good sign to begin with, NW Sewer is of the utmost professionalism and was able to line my entire side sewer, add as clean-out in the front yard, and still managed not to kill a newly planted bushes inches away from where they dug. Kudos!

No work ended up being done on the pipe, but that's because this is a top-shelf, high quality company with integrity and professionalism. Here's why: they took one look at the job and said the scope was beyond what they thought their services could help bring us closer to a solution, so we weren't charged for the visit because no equipment was set up. The owner looked around and decided it wasn't worth wasting our money on. How many companies do that?? Will definitely use this company should we need similar services in the future.

Had great customer service when I had them bid the job last year, and while the individual I had worked with had moved on to another company, the owner performed the work himself. Spencer was a pleasure to work with, and got the work done on schedule. The entire staff was great to work with. Thanks again!

Great! I called after hours and they had someone to meet me first thing the next morning. They assessed the job and gave a good price. I had another company look at it the day before and their estimate was double! They performed the work promptly and I would highly recommend them!
