YANES LANDSCAPING SERVICE

The bid went well, it was a larger project so Jose called me later in the day with a price. We scheduled it for several weeks later (no day specific). After our initial date passed I called and asked if we were about to get going. I was happy to hear "Yes, Tomorrow!". All work was completed slightly ahead of schedule and the work was exactly as we had discussed.

Yane's crew of 3 showed up and cleaned up our very overgrown 7500+ sq ft lot. They mowed, weeded, trimmed back bushes, and laid bark around the entire property. The yard looks great! I gave a B for responsiveness, since originally I had emailed and never heard back. After a phone call we were able to schedule them for about 3 weeks later, and are very satisfied with the work. I will be scheduling them for yard maintenance.

The yards were a disaster - foot high grass in the back, and overgrown plants in the front. A two man crew spent the day thoroughly cleaning it up and the results are fantastic. Their truck was nearly full from the clippings and weeds they pulled. Their attention to detail and cleanup were impressive.

Sadly, I don't know how good Yane's might be as they never replied to my email I sent via Angie's on June 12, 2013. Not very good for customer service!

I contacted Yanes for an estimate to clean up and subsequently maintain my rather small yard. Oliver, (not the owner) called me and we agreed on a time for him to come and provide an estimate. He was late, but explained the problem and was apologetic. I have a small garden, and small lawn with also a parking strip in front that required mowing. I also have a small rock wall in the front that has some plantings. When I say small, my property in it's entirety is 3,700 sq feet, and most of it is house and deck. Anyway, we agreed on a price for the cleanup, and while it was higher than I wanted, I agreed. We completed a walk through and I identified what I wanted done, and agreed when he could come and do the work. However I wasn't there when he came back to actually do the work. With the exception of a few plants, most of my plants were removed. I understand that I should have been there, and appreciate that the yard was cleaned up well considering the overgrowth, but it had been maintained until 8 weeks prior, so it wasn't a jungle certainly. Additionally, while i appreciate that they pulled the hose from getting run over by the mower, they removed my soaker hoses and rolled them up, so I need to put those out again. None of these are huge issues, and all could be remedied by me having been there. In terms of the maintenance component, I'm seeing what others have been quoted and while I am not certain what the other yards look like, $75 for every time, seems a little higher than most. I have yet to have them come back for the maintenance, and maybe my socks will be knocked off, but it remains to be seen. He's a nice guy, but I want to see that he does a good job going forward.

The work was acceptable, but on the spot the crew chief requested cash rather than a check. I ended up calling the owner to verify that was OK. That left me to go get cash. The work performed was adequate.

Jose and his crew have been doing yard maintenance for me for 2+ years now. They usually come once a month fall/winter/spring and about every 3 weeks during summer. Recently, twice, I needed my yard mowed on a certain day and Jose rearranged his schedule both times to meet my needs even though his crew was busy working on other jobs. They are always fast and professional, its about 20 minutes from the time I hear the mowers start up til they are done and my yard is looking pristine with edges trimmed and stray weeds eradicated. (they send 2+ guys usually) Originally I hired them because I was going through chemo and couldn't do it myself but I like them so much I will be continuing service now that I am well. They are worth the cost.

I would use them again in a heart beat! I will say there is a slight language barrier with the workers but they are happy to help and follow direction well. My meeting with Jose to go over the job was easy to schedule and he made me feel like he was the right guy for the job. These guys work hard! A team of 3 guys were at my house all day working hard and did not delay in asking questions when they had them (example: plants to keep or remove) and exceeded my expectations. I got another quote from a high rated member on Angie's List also and their quote was $700.00 more than Yanes Landescaping and was going to take 1 1/2 days instead of 1. It was an easy decision to go with this company and will be using them again next year when I more than likely let my yard get out of control again.

It went well. However, he agreed to come back and maintain and that never happened.

They treat me nice and are very fair in their pricing.

We had agreed on an appointment time between 9 and 9:30 am. With no call to say he was running late, he did not arrive until almost 9:45 am. That would have been okay if the appointment time was 9:30 but unacceptable when there was already a 30 minute window. He did not apologize for the delay. I look at estimates as also partial job interviews and if this is his "good foot forward", no thanks.

THESE GUYS ARE PRETTY GOOD. THEY DID A BIG CLEAN UP IN MY YARD :PUT DOWN NEW BARK, TRIMMED BACK ALL THE SHRUBS, MOWED THE LAWN ETC. THIS PART WAS PERHAPS A BIT EXPENSIVE WHICH IS WHY I HAVE MARKED THEM DOWN A BIT) BUT THE WORK WAS WELL DONE AND VERY PROMPTLY. THEY ROLLED UP ALL MY HOSES AND THEY ALSO, AT MY REQUEST, PRESSURE WASHED ALL THE PATHS. NOW THEY COME BACK REGULARLY AND KEEP IT ALL NEAT. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND CAREFUL AND GENERALLY DO A GOOD JOB. I MET JOSE YANES HIMSELF INITIALLY BUT HE USES WHAT I TAKE TO BE SONS AND NEPHEWS TO DO THE ACTUAL WORK AND MOSTLY WHEN I AM OUT AT WORK MYSELF. I HAVE MET THEM AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND WERE POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL WITH ME. AS I HAVE A LARGE YARD, I DON'T THINK $65 PER VISIT IS EXCESSIVE FOR THE JOB THEY DO.

Punctual and did exactly what I was looking for.

We were thrilled with the results. Our yard has never looked better and we have recommended them to friends. We also hired Yane;s to mow and maintain the yard and they always do a fantastic job. Jose Yane is always very prompt to return calls and is always on time. I just send him an email when we need mowing and maintaining and his crew is here within a day or two.

Our home is built on a bluff. Our property includes a rather steep and expansive hillside extending to the rear. It has been landscaped but periodically needs weeding and trimming. Yanes responded to our request promptly even though we were located a bit out of his preferred job range. He was quite knowledgeable and had made some good observations on how to get the hillside looking good and slowing weed growth in the future. Hi bid was quite close to that given by the provider that we selected for this job. The primary reasons we chose somebody else were that they responded first and left us with the feeling that they really wanted the job.

Victor and his team did an amazing job. I couldn't have asked for anything more. They completely overhauled my yard in a day. i was amazed and pleased with the results. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Zero response after calling and sending text messages several times after getting the initial estimate.

Jose was very prompt and professional, showing up on time to walk the yard and give the estimate. They did a beautiful job, vastly improving the curb appeal. They left the nice plants that had been hidden under the weeds, did just the right amount of trimming, and laid a nice thick layer of bark down. I've had landscaping guys really scrimp on bark in the past, and was pleased to see that it is thick enough that maintaining the yard will be easy. He did such a great job, I plan to call him again to work on my current residence, as we can't quite keep up with the big yard.

From contact to completion everything went smoothly, on time, and on budget. The guys were nice, punctual, and very fast. I was pleantly surprised that they could complete the work in one day. Jose is a quality conscious person and inspected the work after his guys were done. I was very happy with the experience and would recommend.

I will definitely use again and am recommending to neighbors. The only reason not A for quality is because they had to change the day to a day when I wouldn't be home all day, they quit when I was away, and when I came back his crew had quit and had missed a few spots -- understandable since they were doing a lot. If I'd been home when they quit, as originally planned, I could have pointed out the missed spots then. Jose did try to fix some of it when I pointed out but I wasn't asking him to do everything missed when he'd come to collect payment. Again, I will definitely use again and am recommending to neighbors.

Jose and his crew showed up promptly as agreed. We walked through the property to confirm what work would be done and the crew got to work immediately. They were very friendly and worked diligently to get the job done. The end result was beautiful. I wished that I would have taken before & after pictures. It feels great to stand back, look at my home and enjoy every angle! I was completely satisfied with their work and have referred several of my friends.

These guys are great. They work hard all day long and clean up at the end. We had mowing, weeding, planting, tree trimming and bark spreading.

Jose and his crew showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m., then we all walked the property to go over once again what was to be done and to make sure his crew knew. Then he left them to their job. There were three guys, and they worked non-stop until a lunch break, then non-stop again until 4:30 p.m. the next day. Came back the next morning at 9:30 and again hit the front and back yard hard, non-stop except for a lunch break. They had a monumental task as the yard had been neglected for several years and everything was just overgrown and a tangled mess. The cleaned up everything before they left - I know these three guys had to be absolutely exhausted, but they stayed until it was finished, which was about 7:00 p.m. the second day. Very polite, extremely hard working crew!! My contractor happened to be here for awhile the first day and he was amazed at the progress they had already made in just a few short hours, and made the comment, "Wow!! Why can't I find guys with that kind of work ethic?". We were just thrilled, and now both the front and back yard and manageable and ready to get some new, pretty plantings in!!

Jose returned our call the same day we left a message requesting a project bid. He showed up as scheduled for the job evaluation. He was able to schedule the work promptly and showed up with three helpers and completed the job in about 3 hours.

Yanes Landscaping is highly recommended. Would definitely use again and recommend to others. Punctual, professional, very affordable, and excellent quality of work. We had several follow up questions about how to care for the sod and the company was happy to help and guide us through the process.
