YANES LANDSCAPING SERVICE

Jose's team comes once a month to detail my yard. They are always timely and thorough. I have been using them for more than 6 months and will continue to give them my business.

After a small scheduling communication, they arrived this morning at 8:30am. Three of them did an awesome job on a quarter acre property. This property is hilly, weedy, and covered in fir needles and maple leaves. In 5 hours, they had this place looking better than it as in years. I'm very happy and intend to hire them for regular maintenance year round. They are friendly, hard working, and polite.

Jose though not all that professional like the other providers (that I got estimates from), was very accommodating and reasonable. He was really eager for my business and came out to my house twice and discussed in length the details of the work (he even threw in some good suggestions) and gave me an estimate. Estimate itself did not include removal of the tree stump but he threw that in at the last minute. He even helped transport the rental stump grinder (did charge me an extra 100 bucks - which was way less than the other providers). Over all i was very pleased with the way it turned out - his men worked late till they got the job done!

Jose gave a walk-through, and from our conversation it was clear that he knew his craft. He gave a fair estimate. A couple weeks later, his crew did the job. I was very impressed with the speed and quality of their work. Our yard has a lot of gardening, but they tended to everything with care and professionalism. They did a good job, and I would hire them again. In two days, they took care of things I would not have been able to do over the course of many months myself.

Jose came over immediately after being contacts through angies list messaging and gave a reasonable estimate to which i immediately agreed since it was considerably lower than the estimates from other companies. He explained all the things that will be done and told me he will call within the next couple of weeks and will schedule the work day after he calls. He called about two weeks later and two of his men and him came by. Within 4 hours they did an awesome job transforming my neglected yard into a beautiful one. I cannot believe how nice yard looks now.

Very well. I did need to point out a few places they missed but given the size of the job, perfectly normal. Andy's English (like Jose's) is excellent, so no communication issues.

Yanes services are great and adequately priced. Everything was completed in a day and he responded quickly to our request. Overall very pleased with his services.

I am thrilled with their work. I have never hired a landscaping service before because I was a landscaper/gardener myself for 12 years. There are a few plants that I wouldn't have pruned quite as much as they did, but I gave them full reign to complete the project as they saw fit. The pruning was done properly for plant health and overall, I am very happy with the work. I would call Jose again in a heartbeat!!!

NO SHOW for estimate of yard service

The provider did an excellent job. The beauty bark had to be manually hauled from on top of a long steep hill down to the back yard as we have no access for vehicles to the back yard . The beauty bark was spread evenly and the walkways were nicely cleaned of any beauty bark debris. The job was done efficiently and well and finished in good time.

We initially hired Jose Yanes to clean up our yard. This was done quickly and well. During the conversation, we also mentioned that part of what we wanted was continual service monthly to try to provide upkeep to the yard. This is where the quality lowered. Though this was agreed to during the initial meeting, the conversation once it was over was hesitant about following through on this. The service didn't happen on a regular basis and was not consistent in timing. We would go from 4-8 weeks for service, just depending on when they were in the area I guess. Initially the service was okay and we could tell that effort had been put into the clean-up. This began to dwindle greatly and it seemed to become 150 - 200 dollars for someone to come and use a leaf blower to blow stuff around - the yard has very few leaves, it needed trimming and raking in order for upkeep. I recently cancelled the service because it became an added cost that was reaping no benefit.

I emailed Jose and he came out for a quote. He was on time and gave me a quote on the spot. We agreed on the amount and I emailed him with a description of the work that I wanted and his quoted price. He emailed back to agree to what we had discussed. I had about a 2-3 week wait til (which was fine) because he is so busy. He called me when his guys arrived on site to let me know they were there. When I arrived home after work, the crew of 2 guys were finishing up. The backyard looks great and now is ready for summer entertaining. Hopefully I can keep it look as good as it does now!

The work went very well, and the yard looks great. I have nothing to complain about regarding the cost, and the quality of the work. The crew, however, broke two large sprinkler heads and damaged the associated underground sprinkler piping. When I called Jose to discuss them repairing the damage, he said the system was broken before they got started, according to his crew, and so they were not responsible. This is absolutely false, as there had been no one in the particular area except his crew and nothing that would have snapped off heads and cracked the piping. Jose was not present when the damage was done, and so had no first hand knowledge. It is unacceptable, however, to shirk responsibility when required, and evidence of poor training when the crew is not encouraged to be honest and does not step up when they have messed up. And so, I cannot recommend this company.

We have called the company several weeks there is no response are return calls

They were fabulous. It took them 2 days. They were good workers and on time. They cleaned up. They were great. I have already recommended them on facebook. I would use them again in a heartbeat. I am sad because I live in Port Orchard and they don't come this far. My sister is going to use them.

I called three times to get an appointment scheduled an no one would call me back. Jose eventually contacted me to tell me he was too busy and referred someone else.

I hired Jose/Yanes Landscaping to do some major maintenance on my overgrown yard including mowing, edging, weeding and mulching. After he have me an estimate, it took about 2 weeks to get on the schedule. His workers were on time, did a great job and left the site clean. I came home to a new yard!

We have used Jose before and they always have been friendly, reliable and very price competitive. I would highly recommend Jose!

Jose came to our new construction home two weeks ago to provide a bid. He was on-time and very professional. The scope of the work included: removing all construction debris (nails, hay, cement, etc.), grade yard, bring in topsoil, build flowerbeds, lay sod, finish flowerbeds with bark, and place 3in. deep of crushed gravel on both sides of house. When we were done with the walk through I requested a written bid. Jose explained that he can speak English well but his writing skills are not as good - I wrote down everything we agreed upon at the walk through including the price and he signed the bid sheet. We each kept a copy. We collected a total of four bids for the work to be done and Joe's bid came in right in the middle. Once we had finalized our decision we contacted Jose to schedule the work. His team was out at our house two days later completing the work. Communication was a little difficult the first day of work - Jose was not on-site by the time we had to leave for work. The second day of work was a completely different story. Communication was clear. The yard looks absolutely GORGEOUS. We couldn't be any happier. Jose and his team really exceeded our expectations. We are so excited to have such a gorgeous yard to enjoy this summer and for many years to come! We will absolutely contact Jose if we require any more landscaping assitance.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had Yanes out for a Spring cleanup. Jose came out again to provide a bid and to see the scope of work. Once I texted him back (a week or so later) to ask if his crew was available on a certain day, I got no response. After a week, I texted again and told him I assumed he was no longer interested. I received a quick phone call and we arranged a time for them to come. Each time it has gotten more expensive, with slightly less attention to detail. I'm a little concerned that rather than pulling the weeks, they were mostly cut and will likely grow back up through the new bark. Jose was not onsite at all, except for the first 5 minutes. His crew did ok, but I can say that some of the things I originally talked to Jose about either didn't get done, or were only done because I was present and talked to his guys. After several years I will likely try another company next time. I can say that if you are looking for a quick job involving mostly clean up (weed eating, blowing, raking, etc) you'll probably be happy with Yanes. His guys work hard. If you are looking for greater attention to detail with things such as pruning, shaping , edging, you may be disappointed. Jose is a great guy, but I think is partly a victim of his own success. Most of the poor ratings on Angies List are due to failure to call them back. Same thing I experienced. Additionally, there is no formal paperwork. Jose's "bid" is just a number he throws out based on a site visit. I'm fine with that, however when I texted Jose to set a time for the work to be done (a week or so after the bid), his initial response was "Do you remember the price?" Not top notch professionalism but he's honest and seems to want to do right by his customers. UPDATE (several weeks after services): I noticed several more things I had specifically told Jose I wanted done, which were never completed. I spoke with Jose and he said he was too busy to have someone come take care of it, and offered to send me $100 or to apply the discount to next year. I told him I wasn't interested in either option and that I would prefer to have the items taken care of as we originally discussed. He said he couldn't send anyone because they were very busy. He did indicate at one point that he would have to come out himself and take care of it, but that hasn't happened. I could overlook the stuff his crew missed, but I won't overlook the owner's disregard for a problem with their service that was originally discussed. I have lowered my rating and will not use Yanes next year. Very disappointing...

On the day of the work he and his team were on time, worked hard (even in the pouring rain) and we are very happy with the result.

We are living in a rental and needed the yard kept up, but nothing fancy done. They were very responsive, quick to come out and give a quote, showed up when they said they would, and did a good job. I would recommend them! The cost for our house is $65 dollars per mowing.

Came down in the pouring down rain. Got the job done in one day. Cleaned up well. The workers were nice. Highly recommend them. **After my post and time has passed we have to say we are extremely disappointed in the work that was done. After all the rain, the mulch has finally settled and within it there is showing a lot of glass pieces (small and large) and plastic pieces, soft. hard, small and large. We have tried to work with gloves on but have continued to cut ourselves. Also, the wedding that was supposed to be done was not. All they did was cut off the showing weeds/bulbs that we wanted removed and now they have grown through the mulch and trying to get them dug out is impossible. Complete frustration and disappointment.
