Great. We were very happy. In fact I was just looking up his contact number to call him for more work and realized I had never submitted a review. His crew did a great job. Our yard was a mess. Due to family illnesses we had neglected it for far too long. We felt his quote was reasonable and he got the work done in a timely manner.

We hired Yanes Landscaping to put down new bark on our large yard. Jose came out to walk the property and gave us a very reasonable bid, considering the size of the property, the weeds (!) and the quantity of bark that was needed. When I told my neighbors about them, they decided to use them as well. On the appointed day a good sized crew showed up on time, walked the property with me again to be sure that they were doing exactly what I wanted, and then set to work right away. Jose and his crew are hard-working, friendly, and thorough. They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, and left the place looking immaculate. We appreciated the little extras - they tidied up the steps going down the hillside, mowed our lawn and blew the driveway clean. Many thanks to Jose and crew!

Well, you can add me as another member of the Jose and Crew fan club! Jose and his guys descended on my disgusting, overgrown mess of a lawn like a fog, and 7 or so hours later, it now looks like something from Better Homes & Gardens. I called Jose because of the great reviews he had and everyone was right: he showed up the same day and quoted me a very fair price for all the labor and materials involved in the job. My only disappointment was that I had to wait a couple of weeks because he was working on other jobs, but that was understandable as it was a big job. His crew was polite and very very hard working - I had to make them take a lunch break :-) I was amazed at how quickly they did everything and did a great job, very meticulous. Jose is a great, honest and hardworking guy who does exactly what he says he is going to do at a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire him and his guys again and will be calling him for maintenance. Thanks fellow Angie's List members for a great referral! And thanks Jose and crew, we are so happy with our new lawn! and can now enjoy it for the summer.

There were no problems. Price was agreed on up front, and the work done exceeded our expectations. We've had several people complement us on our front yard, and asking us who did the work. Crew was in and out in one day, and cleanup was excellent.If a customer has specific requirements regarding how to handle a particular shrub, tree, or garden area, he should make those requirements known up front, otherwise the crew will make their own decisions (this was not a problem for us, since we were willing to go with the crew's judgment).

Jose was great. It was about a 3day job. They came on time, worked ALL day, finnished the job in a timely manner. They went beyond the scope and a few extras and very friendly. Will definatley use them again. Very happy customer A++

I have used Yanes services several times over the past 2 1/2 years. Each time Jose is prompt and does an excellent job on all the services I request. Both Jose and h is crew are prompt and polite. I definitely recommend Yanes Landscaping as an excellent business.

Very disappointed. I called Jose, set up a day for him to come out and do an estimate. He said he would call before he came. Didn't show up and no phone call. Called again... he said he lost my number, made another appt. and once again, no call and no show.

Over all the performance exceeded my expectation. Mr. Yanis responded promptly and was personally responsible for supervising his crew from the beginning to the end. He was accurate on the number of days required to do the work. Yanis Landscaping is an EXCEPTIONAL COMPANY!

I called Jose on seeing the reviews in Angies List, and requested him to come for the estimation. He accommodated us the following day and came over on time. He understood just by seeing the condition of our yard (which wasn't cleaned for over a year), the work required. His estimation was very negotiable and reasonable, as both our neighbor and our yard had to be cleaned. He charged $500 for our neighbor?s yard and $650 for ours as the bushes had to be removed too. On the day of work, everyone came on time and worked promptly. They never wasted any moment chit chatting or going for long break. The weather did not cooperate on both the days they worked, but that didn't stop them. We never had to monitor them and guide to do any work. The work was very thorough and clean. I really liked the work and even going to sign-up the monthly maintenance with them. These guys are HIGHLY Recommended!!!

He came and did a very good job landscaping the property. His communication was good and he seemed to understand what I wanted. He does excellent work. I am not to happy with the responsiveness.

Jose Yanes returned message left on his phone inviting him to bid on work within about one hour after message was left. He was flexible for the timing of our meeting for review of job, offering to come most any evening that week. We set a Thursday evening meeting and then later I had another appointment come up that interfered with agreed-to time. I called him to reschedule and he simply moved it to the next evening which was very convenient. At the job review he listened carefully to my work description as we walked the yard and asked he clarifying questions to ensure he understood the work scope. My yard is mostly shrubbery and perennials and he exhibited knowledge of the plantings and their maintenance requirements. This instilled confidence that he knew his business. I also requested a specific type of mulch be laid on the beds after clean-up and he was familiar with this product. After the discussion was complete he provided a verbal bid on the spot. After meeting with one other contractor and receiving a significantly higher bid than Jose's, I opted to go with Yanes'. When I called Jose to offer the work he stated that he would most likely come the week following next unless there was severe weather and he would call me one day in advance of his planned arrival. He did exactly as promised, calling on the Sunday prior to doing the work on the Monday two weeks after we had met. He arrived with a crew of four and explained the work to them in detail and then left them to the job. They did excellent work--everything was completed as promised and it looks great. They cleaned up all sidewalks and hardscapes leaving no mess. They even went to into my back alley and swept leaves and pine needles on the concrete in front of my garage and removed weeds that were growing in cracks in the concrete even though I hadn't discussed this with Jose as part of the scope of work. Jose's crew of four worked very hard to complete this job in one day. It normally takes me two full weekends by myself to complete the work they did in about 8 hours. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and felt the price was a good value. I would definately hire them again.

I can't put into words how THRILLED I am with Jose and his team's work. Our place needed some serious winter clean up. We have lots of terraces and a lot of vegetation that's been neglected for about a year. Also we had some damage to our firs from the winter storm. Jose's crew did an amazing job of weeding each terrance, cleaning out the blackberry bushes, putting down bark and power washing all concrete services. Our place looks amazing and his price was very affordable. Call Jose before you get any other bids - you'll be thrilled with the quality of work at the affordable price. We have signed up for bi-weekly maintenence and couldn't be happier. This is a true find on Angie's List. Big thanks to Jose and his crew!!!

Something I was a bit surprised by was that he does prefer cash and checks and I don't believe he takes cards. However, his prices and work quality are very good so I think it is worth it.

Jose and team did a fantastic job! I have used mulitple other services from Angies List and elsewhere and Jose not only did the best, most complete work, but was also able to get all of the work done in less than one full day! Jose's prices also are equal to other vendors I have used, but those other vendors did not provide the same level of detailed work and took multiple days to finish what Jose's team accomplished in less than one day. So in my mind, Yanes Landscaping is a much better deal! They did more than I was expecting, but also did everything we talked about. IF I was planning on selling my home I would have Jose come and do the grounds before putting it up for sale it looks so good! Jose showed up for a bid walk and let me walk him around the property before he gave me a price. His price was all inclusive and covered more than we had discussed! I agree with another reviewer, Jose's team did not leave a single leaf or weed visible on the property! I am excited to have found Yanes Landscaping and plan on using them every 3 months or so to help me stay on top of yard work. Thank you Jose!

Based on all the good reviews I read about Jose on Angies list I decided to contact him to remove a large amount of debris that we had generated from thinning our fir trees. As we are getting ready to sell our house I also asked him to perform yard work to clean up the garden for showing. He was very responsive and returned my call immediately and made an appointment that same day to see the scope of the work. His quote was extremely reasonable and we made arrangements to have the work done. Jose called a few days later to confirm that he was going to do the work that afternoon. The work he did was above and beyond what we had agreed upon as he not only got the garden looking lovely, but also weeded our patio and concrete walkways (not a small job)o make the outside of the house even more presentable to potential buyers. He hauled away all the debris we asked him to remove along with all the new waste the yard work had generated leaving the garden looking fabulous. I would definitely use Jose again and recommend him to my friends.

They were very thorough. From initial quote to work being performed was only a few days. They did not leave a scrap of yard debris or one leaf behind. Even mowed our lawn without us asking. I would recommend without hesitation.

He arrived with three helpers when he said he would and they completed the work in two days. They were extremely hard workers and worked steady over both days. They were friendly and did more than I asked them to do. Before they left, they mowed the yard, front and back and edged it all. They left front and back spotless and ready to be replanted. I'm very happy with the work they did and will definitely call them again whenever I need more work. I have already recommended the company to my friends.

Jose was great on communication. He came by and called me with a price for the work and then he and his crew came out a few days later and did the work. He kept me informed of their schedule. This was just clean up and haul away work, nothing fancy, but I was pleased with the result and would definitely use this company again.

I called Jose to get an estimate on cutting back a large Laurel hedge separating my property from my neighbor. He showed up within 2 hours of my call, and quoted a price less than 50% of the other quote I received for the same job. He scheduled the job for the next day and it was done and fully cleaned up when I got back home that next day. The entire process was so fast! From calling him to get a quote thru to job completion was less than 36 hours! I will definitely call Jose again when I need more work done.

I called (Jose)Yamnes on Monday 8/29 and he came that afternoon to give me an estimate. After disscussing scope of work and price with my wife, we agreed to hire Yanes and he began work on Friday 9/2 and completed on 9/3. The original existing concrete installed in 1950 had large diameter steel rebar throughout. Knowing this I had rented a saw and precut numerous section into managable sized pieces. When Yanes began they still had to demolish each piece wich they did with sledge hammers alone. The work was extremely physical and I'm sure exhausting. Nonetheless they worked very hard to completely remove all concrete and even moved a few piece I wanted to save. In my younger day I considered myself a hard worker, but Yanes and his crew were amazing and redefined "hard work". I'd recommend them to any of my family or friends.

I called Jose last week to get an estimate and he was at my place within 1/2 hour. He listened to what I wanted and quoted the job. His price was more than fair (40% less than one bid and 80% less than another!) and I gave him the work based on Angie's List ratings. Quite honestly, I figured that at that price it would be fair even if they did a mediocre job. Jose and his crew showed up within a week, on the scheduled day and worked like crazy until 7 PM. They were back at 8 AM the next morning and worked all day to finish up. I could not be happier with the work. They did an outstanding job, were very meticulous and worked non-stop, except for a well-deserved lunch. I'm in awe of the job they did and I'm usually very picky. Jose was on the job working with his crew of 4 each of the two days, for about half the day. They did not slow down one bit when he left and as it turned out his "foreman" that was on the job the whole time is his brother. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jose to anyone and plan to use him for ongoing maintenance.

Jose's crew took care of all of it in one day. They took care around flowers and flowering shrubs and did not prune anything that was in bloom. I do not care for bark and Jose suggested we use "screened bark" which looks like beautiful brown dirt but keeps the weeds at bay. I asked them to spread it at least 3" thick and they did not skimp. They left the property very clean and neat and it was a pleasure to come home to a job WELL DONE! I am so happy with the work they did in the front of my house, I hired them to do the back as well. They are there today and I will give another report on that work.

I found them on Angie’s List. 3 weeks ago, they came out and did a total spring cleaning that should have been done in the spring, but they actually did it in summer. They cut blackberries, mowed and edged and they also power washed the deck. What I can say about them is that they are nice people and they do more than you ask them to do. When they were cleaning my backyard, I going through my flowerpots and sorting them out, they cleaned all those up and threw away the broken pots and stacked them all up nice and neat. On my deck, they reorganized everything so it looks so much better than it did before. They go above and beyond but they won’t go and prune the tree unless you want it done. Their tree pruning and stuff like that, they do a really good job and my yard looks great. They are really awesome. They were here for two and a half hours today, doing all the detailed stuff.

I could not more highly recommend Yanes Landscaping. I contacted several landscapers from Angie's List about performing this work, and Jose was the only one who was willing to work around my schedule to do a walk through of the yard with me. He arrived for the appointment earlier than scheduled, and even called ahead before showing up to make sure that it was convenient for me to have him come 15 minutes early. He gave me his bid right on the spot, which turned out to be half the price (or less) of the other bids I received. When I called to tell him I would like to get the work done, he offered to come the next day. He came on time, and finished the job (with several other workers) in a matter of hours (including removal of the huge Laurel roots) and cleaned up EVERYTHING and hauled it away (taking down the Laurels was very messy). Jose and his crew even edged out the dirt patches left behind from all of the removal, giving the appearance that the dirt was in the process of becoming a garden. One thing to be aware of, Jose told me that he never uses a computer -- so you cannot reach him by email. But he's really great, and I would definitely suggest giving him a call if you need this kind of work done.
