John Anderson did a good job of preparing an estimate right away, listening to what we wanted. We already had several bids and in terms of price Valentine Roofing was in the middle. However, the completeness of their bid & detailing out of higher-quality products really set them apart. The material on the ridgeline was spec''d using actual CertainTeed product, rather than generic as I later realized the other bids were. They also specified 1/2 CDX plywood, whereas one of the other bids was non-specific in this area.The underlayment was also spec'd (and installed) of top-notch material, more than "just code". I was also looking for a roofing team that was together for a period of time, not just a team that is put together for the summer (for example). One nice aspect of Valentine is that they run a crew that has worked together awhile, which I think is helpful for a quality job. They also do their own demolition of the old roof, which many firms sub-contract out. Leo was a great team leader, and was on-site and on the roof the whole time. These guys really know what they are doing. I wanted to be very careful with who I chose since we are the first home in a very large subdivision to place the existing cedar roof with composite, and I didn't want any problems. Connor Valentine was also great to deal with as well. Thank you Connor. The neighbors are all impressed with how sharp the roof looks, and I gladly give out your name to anyone that asks. I can't imagine a better choice. One thing that was tricky with our roof is that we were also re-doing our siding as well (now complete) and coordinating it was a bit h****** me. Connor was stellar in helping here, and some of the work required coming back after the main job was done and after I had already paid. No problem, Connor was as good as his word.

My husband had them come out and bid the job. He chose them just because the guy who came to do the bid seemed knowledgeable and noticed things about the roofs around us and pointed them out. He felt comfortable with these people. They did the job in two days which was pretty amazing. They started on an incredibly hot day and I was impressed with the work men. They worked fabulously, did a great job and it looks really, really nice. They worked under not great conditions and I was thrilled with them. When they were finished I thought they would come to the door to say they were done, but they just left. I was sad because I wanted to tell them they did a good job. There was one issue that we've talked to them about and haven't had any response. Conner was the owner and he came and look at the roof and everything was great. We started painting the house and noticed under the eaves there were a lot of nails. We pointed it out to the bidder and he said he would tell Conner. My husband called Conner and he asked if it was okay if his guys could come by and take care of it. My husband called back and we are now waiting for a response. The job looks great, but it would be nice if they could have followed up because the nails are all over under the eaves. We felt like for the price we paid they should have been doing that.

The tear off of the old roof went quickly and the crew did maintain the site very well throughout the process. Materials were dropped off by their supplier starting late afternoon of the third day. The ridge vent that was delivered was not what was specified and once pointed out to Valentine they addressed the issue and installed the correct product. The new roof was installed over the course of the following three days. On the last day, Monday, sky lights were replaced and remaining details were completed. The quality of the shake installation, flashing (wall and step flashing on chimneys), ridge vents, plumbing and furnace vents was very good. The crew lead was on site all of the time and was there to address any questions.

Very professional group, a slick, good sales approach, very personable and accessible during entire process. I would recommend them to friends and family for sure. They were not the cheapest of bids I received but felt I would get the best products and installation compared to the rest. Only negative was the mess they left behind, but that could occur with any roofing, some nails and pieces of wood, tar were left scattered around my yard. My Garage was filled with so much small pieces of the old roof, that Valentine Roofing came back and performed an excellent job in clearing out as much as was possible.

The thought of replacing my twenty-year-old roof was not a pleasant one. I contacted five different roofing companies for estimates on the job. Of the five companies one was outstanding in both the inspection process and estimate.This company, Valentine Roofing, owned by Mr. Conner Valentine was extremely helpful and made the process a pleasant experience. Conner was very professional in all areas of the roofing process. He gave me a timeline for the work and completion of the roofing job. The roofing crew was as professional as he was. The entire job took two and a half days from start to completion. When the workmen finished, I had a beautiful new roof two new skylights and the yard was neat and clean. If I ever needed any roofing work done I couldn?t imaging using anyone else to do the work

From the beginning of the quote process it was clear that Conner gave me an honest quote recommending the best product for my roofing needs. He and his men were very professional and punctual. Each evening, and after the job was complete, my property was clean of any debris from the roofing removal and replacement. We are very pleased with our beautiful new roof and the service Valentine roofing provided. The roofing process took approx. 2 days.

The roofing team completed the work in less than 2.5 days, and beat the rain! From the time we signed the contract until the roof was finished was less than a week. They worked really hard to get finished before the forecasted rain, and still did an excellent job. All the debris was picked up, and they even swept the front walk. Before the work was started, they went through a checklist to make sure we knew exactly what to expect. They were very responsive, had good customer support, and didn?t come across as sales people. You could tell they really cared about what they were doing. They use really high quality materials, which if you read the other companies estimates are listed as extra cost items. And to top it off, Valentine Roofing was the lowest bid. I will certainly recommend them to others, as now we are good for the next 50 years!
