Tekline Roofing

I got three roofing bids and TekLine was right in the middle. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but they paid attention to detail in ways that set them ahead and apart from the other well-reviewed roofing companies who bid on my project. TekLine were consummate professionals from start to finish. The estimator, Norm, took lots of photos and prepared a printed proposal immediately and showed me all the problems with my roof and flashing that I couldn't see. He pointed out areas where re-roofing could lead to other improvements, such as replacing ugly and poorly functioning side vents in the roof with a better-looking and better-functioning ridge vent. He pointed out several areas where the original builder didn't flash the house gable overhangs, and he incorporated that extra flashing improvement into my project. The entire roof was replaced in two days and then it took another week for a few minor tidy-ups to be completed (a couple pieces of broken siding replaced, gutter guards installed, re-routing of three gutters). We had to wait about 6 weeks to get on their schedule in mid-September 2016. We put in Certainteed Landmark TL (~35 year roof) and are very happy with the crew's cleanliness, professionalism, and workmanship. I would not hesitate to use TekLine or recommend them to anyone else. No nails were shot through the eaves and and I've only found minor traces of debris - nice work!

We evaluated six (6) roofing companies, all from Angie's List. Two companies backed out due to the height of our townhomes (4 stories). Tekline wasn't the cheapest or most expensive, however their Sales process was great. CJ answered all of our questions thoroughly, and even came over on a Saturday morning to meet with us to respond to final questions. We had a very short window of time to complete the work, and they met our scheduling requirements, and their time on the job was exactly what they said it would be. Also, there were no up-charges or change-orders - the final invoice was exactly what the original quote was. The workers were extremely conscientious, and didn't complain about the height of our townhomes. I expected that they'd need access to our roofdecks from the interior of our units, but they completed their work without interrupting us. Tekline delivered a Honey Bucket, which I thought was a nice touch, as I assumed that the workers would need inside access for utilities. The job cleanup was very thorough - actually my driveway and sidewalks are cleaner now than when the started - THANKS! I would highly recommend Tekline Roofing to anyone needing a new roof!

It was great. They were professional, helpful, responsive. Everything you want to work with. Some of the outter beams were so rotten, they fell off during the work. Tekline made it look like new without increasing the bid. It was really nice. I hope I never need a new roof, but I would absolutely work with these guys / recommend these guys.

Installation went fine. The workers were great. There were two minor issues we had (not with Tekline, but with some companies that Tekline used): another company that was supposed provide a portable toilet for the workers never delivered it, and when the job was all done on Thursday, the company that was to remove the huge trash bin did not take it away until Saturday morning, so that prevented access to our garage.

Construction work can be ill managed and troublesome, but our job with Tekline was very professional, extremely efficient, and as smooth as any project can be. Our salesman was careful to see that we had the new roof we wanted and needed. He inspected our current roof, pointed out some changes (crickets) that would improve performance, and immediately wrote a contract that was priced fairly and specific with construction details. The work was performed by a crew of 4-6 persons, on exactly the schedule planned, and completed in less than a week. We were impressed with the quality and detail of the installation including complete re-flashing - even where no flashing existed previously. Everyone of Tekline's employees was competent, friendly, and punctual. Can not fault the transaction in any way and would recommend their service unreservedly.

In a word, the experience was excellent. Work performed, materials used, and communication with the owner of the company were all at or above my expectations. Both the salesman, CJ, and later on the owner of the company, Scott, were very good about explaining to me what was happening on my job. I was able to ask questions (sometimes I asked the same question twice) and they took the time to walk through and explain everything to me. Their work was exceptional and I'd be happy to recommend them.

I have many decades of experience working in home improvement arena Mostly for the large home improvement companies in a management position. I realize that Angles list is for the more discerning customer. With that said, I hired Tekline Roofing because of their business model. I have worked with the big box business models in installed sales. I know the difference, that is why I chose Tekline, they offer value. I inspected their work on a hourly and daily basis. They have experienced workers and do not cut corners. The quality and value of their work is hard to beat. I know what to look for in a roof and I was not disappointed. I asked questions to discern their level of competency. They know how to put on a good roof at a reasonable price. I did get bids lower by a little, mostly higher bids. The opening interactions with Tekline were good. They came out and investigated a leak in our roof for free, and informed us that we could either do some fairly expensive work to patch things up, or replace our entire roof now. They also gave us the best estimate upfront, and we were excited for the work to begin. Our neighbors agreed to also redo their roof with the same company at the same time, so we were able to negotiate a $900 lower price with Tekline. However, as soon as Tekline pulled our roof off, they immediately called to say that actually they were going to have to add on another $450 to the original price, because they didn't realize the type of material under the roofing. A situation we had specifically asked about when they gave us the quote, and that they assured us was not a problem. They called minutes later to revise that number and said they were actually going to have to increase the price by $900 total, because that $450 increase hadn't included labor. They entirely wiped out the reduced price they had agreed to. Most of the actual work was quick and seemed well done. The one qualm about the work was they didn't seem to have a good clean up system for collecting the nails from the old roof. For two years after the work was done, we continue to find stray roofing nails sprinkled around our property. The owner reached out to us about this review. He was sorry to hear about the negative experience, and let us know that the employee who worked with us is no longer part of the company. In addition, he wanted to help clean up any remaining mess on site. Since that's no longer an issue, he offered to help make things right by working on the house. I appreciate his concern about making things right. It's clear he really cares about making sure his company does right.

Superb job! The Tekline team kept me updated with the start date as weather changed during February and March. The crew tackled the project and completed after 1 1/2 days. Very clean, through, and efficient. Excellent job and very pleased! Very knowledgeable about questions and concerns I had with the new roof.

I recently had to redo a 12 year roof that was supposed to be good for 30. So I was VERY careful to obtain many bids, and talk to a lot of roofing companies. I compared the materials listed in the bids, looked at warranties, and read a lot of reviews online. In the end I chose Tekline and I couldn't be happier. Their work was excellent, my yard was immaculate each night when they quit working, and the end result is a roof that looks beautiful, and is guaranteed for labor and materials for a long, long time. I'm a very satisfied customer!

From beginning to end, this job was perfectly executed. The initial estimate was high, but estimator persuaded me that they have the best guarantee, the most superior materials and the best and most comprehensive procedures. I'm not an easy sell, so he had to earn his pay convincing me to pay almost double what the next estimate was. He noted that because some of the plywood on the very old and bad roof was soft, it was probably more problems would surface. They did, but were accounted for in the initial estimate so I wasn't caught by surprise. The work itself was schedule and rescheduled several times because of unseasonable weather. The scheduler maintained contact with me and I was kept aware of reasons and times of delays. The actual work was performed under very adverse rainy conditions and took maybe a day longer than hoped - again for reasons beyond the contractor's control. The messy work itself was done in a brief day or two and at the end of each day, workers would spend extra time cleaning up the front and side yards and clearing the sidewalks. I particularly appreciated the extra work involved. The entire job took maybe 4 days with an intervening weekend and given the conditions I think it went very well and quickly. The gutters were done after the roof by a different worker who was fast, clean and professional, and who made some customized changes to improve my view and the plumbing to a rain barrel I wanted to keep. At each step of the process, everyone on the team kept in contact, answered all my questions and provided additional information and help. Everyone was not only very nice, they were professional, cordial, thorough and extremely competent. Everybody knew exactly what they were doing. I was very impressed with the execution of the job which showed an excellent level of skill and experience. The best part was at the end when the owner, Scott Morrison, stopped by to do a final inspection and check to be sure I was completely satisfied. Clearly, the culture of caring professional team comes from the top down at this company and it shows during the entire process. It's difficult for me to say whether I appreciate the quality of the product or the quality of the service more. This was an expensive project and I am more than satisfied with every aspect of the deal. I give Tekline Roofing my highest recommendation. I couldn't be happier and I am confident they treat all their customers this way.

Review in 3 parts - Estimate/Scheduling; The Work; The Follow-up/Punch List: Estimate/Scheduling: The estimate was completed on the day the estimator agreed to visit the site. The scheduled start date was delayed about 1-1/2 days, because of the weather, and Tekline kept us informed of the delay. The Work: The crew foreman was Rosendo. This review relates to that crew. Rosendo and his crew were very professional; the crew did not play music or any other noisy gadgets during the day; they cleaned up the property each night; they were friendly; Rosendo was most pleasant; etc. Summary: This crew was top notch. Follow-up/Punch List: During the work, a few things were damaged (one because our lot is very narrow). All these items were replaced ASAP, with no questions asked. On the final walk-a-round one more follow-up item was noted and fixed as soon as Rosendo and a member of his crew were available. We would use Tekline in the future. The townhouse owners.

It was a great work crew. They did wonderful job, especially on the chimney flashing. Their estimator understood aspects of the house that other estimators did not.

From bidding process to installation, I was very happy with the service Neil and the crew provided. They weren't the lowest bidder, but the professionalism and communication throughout the project and most importantly the flawless quality of their work never made me regret paying a little extra. They are at a certification level with Certainteed that provides a 50-year warranty directly from the manufacturer, meaning they ultimately trust Tekline enough to back the product and workmanship themselves. It feels great to not have to worry when those fall storms keep pounding on our roof.

I got a prompt response from CJ McConaghy when I contacted Tekline for a reroofing job, the scope of work included replacing current single roof with a metal roof, replacing three skylights, installation of new gutters and downspouts, he quoted the job with a reasonable price, I asked him to schedule the work before I went for a long business trip, he made some adjustments to accommodate my schedule, the crew came and finished the job before I left for my trip, the crew lead by Rafael were very professional and did an excellent job, when the job was done, owner Scott made a follow-up visit to check on the work, we were very pleased with Tekline and recommend the company.

Quality workmanship. We have a older house that needed help and Tekline ad the people to do quality work. A floating sleeper deck and great sheet metal work on the garage with high tec materials.

I found the people very easy to work with, from the original estimate to the workers who came to work on the roof. They worked through a fairly serious storm, and appear to have done a very good job. They were always respectful and thorough. The price was higher than most of our offers, but they seemed to be the most thorough and easy to deal with.

Because we have a nontraditional roof we obtained at least 5 estimates before deciding to go with Tek Line. They were the easiest to work with, seemed the most prepared, and overall were very professional. They did an excellent job on the interior finish work for the three skylights we had installed as well. I would recommend them.

The person who came out to give me an estimate for the roof and gutters was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Their price was the highest by far, but I really considered them anyway because they seemed like a good company to work with. Ultimately, I went with another company I've used in the past and was more in my price range.

Everything went well, professionally and quickly. The workers arrived at the appointed time and were very professional. At the conclusion of the work they cleaned the work area very well. The roof work was done in approximately a day and a half. The gutter work was done in about four hours.

Tekline was prompt and professional from beginning to end. Called for an estimate and had an immediate response. Norm came out and really assessed the roof and gutters, from up on the roof. This wasn't my experience with other companies I had contacted. I immediately felt in good hands and went with Tekline. The work began promptly and the crew was hardworking and polite. Ran into some rot near the eaves, requiring additional carpentry/repair, but this was presented to me with photos of the area to help me make decisions on the additional work. The work was completed in the time anticipated and both the new roof and gutters are beautiful. No damage to landscaping and everything was cleaned up each day. Great customer service. We knew nothing about roofing or roofing companies as we faced the expensive task of replacing our expired cedar roof. Who do we hire who will do an expert, professionsl job at the best price? Our experience may help you. Coincidentally, we were able to to see, first hand, the Tek Line crew complete the same project as ours, in our neighborhood, earlier in February. We saw the process from prep to completion- the sequence, safety, property care and clean-up. Neighborhood disturbance of noise and traffic was limited. The completed rood looks great and our neighbor was pleased and recommended Tek Line for their longevity and expertise in the industry and best value price. We call TekLine's rep, Norm Hoglund, to offer a proposal. He is a positive, delightful person! As a rep, he is knowledgeable, long-experienced, and easy to understand explaining materials, options and the process. The price was right - in the low range researched by our HOA. A week later, we contracted with the TekLine Roofing Company and were scheduled in. It was fascinating to watch our project happen each day. At regular intervals, the project was personally checked by Norm, and monitored by Neil, from the office. The crew foreman was Racindo, who is a career roofer - personable, responsible, attentive to his trained crew and to us. The crew was safety conscious, focused, efficient and careful of surroundings. Our roof was completed in four days and the gutters took another two days. I would like to commend the brothers who are the gutter company used by Tek Line. They are both younger USA Veterans who started their business 10 years ago. They did a precise and excellent job and the are a pleasure to be around. Working with Tek-line was easy. They were very cooperative while providing the estimate and their pricing and warranty was better then the other bids that we got. They were 2 days late in starting the work but their office called and let us know in advance about it. They took approximately 5 days to finish the job. Their team lead was very helpful and communicative during the process and they did a great job of cleaning up at the end of the day.

We were first introduced to Tek-Line Roofing at the 2015 Home Show, where we met Norm. He was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Next we arranged for a site visit and a quote for removing our concrete tile roof and installing a new roof. CJ was prompt, professional and very helpful while presenting options, color choices and upon our request provided a list of homes we could drive by to assist with color palette decisions. With the contract signed the crews showed up on the date scheduled, completed the work in four days and left the yard in better condition than before they arrived. The crew was friendly, hard working and answered any and all questions. The crew lead, Rosendo, was especially helpful, friendly and provided progress reports throughout the project. The old gutters and downspouts were removed and new ones installed in less than four hours. During our research for a new roof, we contacted several vendors and Tek-Line was without any doubt the best. Some vendors never returned our phone calls, others promised to mail a quote but never did, two vendors tried to talk us out of replacing the roof because removing the concrete tiles was too much work. Tek-Line was courteous, professional, and their costs were significantly less than the other quotes we received. I would highly recommend Tek-Line Roofing to anyone looking to reroof a single family home. We are completely satisfied with every aspect of the job.
