The estimator was Norm Hoglund, who was very personable and professional. His estimating process was by far the most thorough and impressive of any of the bidders. I an confident that their work would have been of the highest quality. Ultimately, though, the price was higher than I could accept. There was some misunderstanding regarding the garage work. I thought they were not able to work on the underlying structural issues, and that I would need to have that rectified by a framing company before they could cover the roof. I learned later that that may not be the case. I've not included the garage quote in the cost of service shown.

Great company, easy to schedule with. Have heard great things about this company and was happy with the visit. Decided to postpone getting the roof done. Will consider Tekline.

Excellent customer service and timely response

This project went so smoothly! They were professional, efficient, friendly and did high quality work. They dealt well with our Seattle weather, doing long days when it was nice, and making sure we were prepared for the rain. They were even great with our dog, who insisted on barking at them every time they set up.

This is a reputable company, however, their estimating/proposal process is lengthy. We contacted seven companies. Most were able to able to come out to the house and provide an estimate within days. Tekline needed two weeks, just to get someone to come out. Not sure if they were just short-handed at the time we reached out, or if this in an underlying challenge at the company. We cancelled our appointment as we had received all six proposals from others nearly a week before TekLine was able to come out.

The estimation was extremely thorough and well explained with photos to illustrate the need for the roof. We discussed the different options available and settled on a mid-range roof. The work was done in the time frame I expected, and the only problem was that one of the roofing guys fell off a ladder - I was concerned for his well-being, and the project manager talked to me at length about how he was doing and assured me that they follow the appropriate protocol in this sort of situation. They also realized that the estimate was off for one item (we had a skylight that turned out to be a slightly different size than standard) and they talked us through that as well. Services were great, they communicated well, and the price was reasonable (for a roof, which you have to understand is crazy expensive from the start!)

This is the 3rd time I have used Tekline and continue to be amazed by the quality, value, and customer service.

The process was fine, but communication with the site manager could've been better. Did not confirm a start date, and told them I would contact them once back from vacation. While gone, they dropped off a port-a-potty, and tried to drop off construction material. Then once date was confirmed, no one showed up. They had gotten me confused with a different customer.

The roof looked so amazing after the work was done. Only time will tell on the quality of the roof job, but from what we can see, there is a vast improvement from our old roof. The roofers are courteous and professional. The person they sent to do an estimate was very easy to work with and answered any questions we had in a very timely manner. (Jesse) They finished on time and there was not a single trace of them being there. They cleaned everything up each day after they were done. Only one slight thing that could have gone better was the communication. They did not call me to schedule the installers. The crew simply showed up one day to our surprise. Also, it was a very rainy week, so we didn't know day to day as to whether or not they were working on our home. I did ask them to call me if they decided to work on the house, just so I was informed but I never got any call. Other than that, they were really great compared to the other companies we called.

The office people leave a lot to be desired. They had a terrible scheduling problem. They delayed the project and had a huge dumpster in our drive way for two weeks. We couldn't get one of our cars out of the garage. They kept delaying the work. The workers and the supervisor were great. The roofing job is gorgeous. They worked very hard, even in the dark to get it done.

Tekline walked into a project where there was no roof on the house. Team worked to get it covered quickly, then came back as schedule allowed to put roof on. Project wasn't without its challenges, such as determining how to handle the unique gables on the house Rafa's onsite crew got it all put together and looking good. As a final step the beams of this post and beam constructed house are exposed to the elements - as the siding was removed we discovered 2 major beams had rotted and needed to be replaced - _after_ the beautiful new roof was on. Scott helped us find the solution and the manpower to tackle the project. It went off without a hitch. Rafa even crafted special beam caps to my specifications to assure no moisture would be trapped, yet no rain would pool on top of beams. Some great examples of Tekline's commitment to their customers: 1) As the skylight company came in to put in the new skylights, they walked on and dented the roof cap. Tekline replaced it without even being asked. 2) I needed glass put over the covered outdoor area. Rafa came out to assure this was done correctly and properly sealed. The glass company was very unprofessional and began to treat Rafa poorly until I saw what was happening. Rafa was a true professional and continued to work with them even after that point. 3) After a year it became clear that in larger downpours in certain gutter corners the roof collected so much water that it couldn't all be absorbed by the gutter covers. Scott sent Rafa out to custom craft water deflectors, free of charge. It wasn't fun to discover all of these things needed to be done to a house we had only bought (and had inspected) a year before, and there were tense times during this project to be sure. Scott mentioned these are the worst projects for them to work on because expensive issues like beam replacement are painful for everyone and sours the customer experience even though it had nothing to do with Tekline. I've heard it said that every project will encounter issues, but its how your contractor handles those issues that defines their character and whether you will ever work with them again. I _absolutely_ would call on Tekline for their quality work and customer commitment again and highly recommend them to others. I hope others don't encounter issues like we did in our project, but if you do, Tekline is the partner to have.

CJ, the sales rep was honest, upfront, and knowledgeable. No pressure, no upsell. As a professional sales and marketing manager I was quietly listening for cues...in short, the entire estimate process and 'going over the numbers' experience was solid! My wife was listening in the kitchen and she gave the nod after the presentation was done. Overall, I had 5 roofing estimates to compare. From the local mom/pop outfit (lowend) to the large 'we do everything for over x number of years' high end outfit...doesn't matter - look no further than TekLine. On-site: 3 day removal & installation. Victor, crew lead was professional & approachable, one of the good guys! He had a team that worked safely, were skilled and dressed for the job (accordingly). I can tell each member (3 good guys) knew what they were doing. Honey bucket delivered to site - good business. Dumpster contained all the refuge. Each day they cleaned up. Wrap up: The owner, Scott came to visit me personally - Good business! Secures the relationship, ensures continuity of service, and closes the deal w solid firm handshake! I am in the wood products industry & I will refer this company to friend, family & colleagues. My entire neighborhood could use a rooftop makeover from TekLine. Tekline stands by their work...and more. Three years after our roof install (see 4/29/14 review), they came to the rescue (again) going far above and beyond (again). I can't recommend them enough. During one of our recent torrential rains, water started dripping from our ceiling. We immediately thought of the roof and emailed Scott at Tekline at 8pm. He replied within minutes and said he would send someone out the next day. After the initial panic subsided we peeked into the attic and saw an open pipe, so we postponed with Tekline and contacted a plumber instead. The issue was a decommissioned expansion tank for our boiler system - water was coming straight down the open ventilation pipe, going through the old tank and spilling out the other end straight into the attic. The plumber wanted to charge $400 to simply cut and remove the section of exposed pipe and said we would need to get someone else to patch the roof where the pipe had been. I told Scott and he sent Armando over the next day to take a look. Armando was amazing just like everyone else we have encountered at Tekline. He inspected the roof to confirm the source of the leak was not the roof (it wasn't), cut the pipe within minutes and patched the roof for us...he even noticed a random piece of old flashing that was coming off our garage and screwed that in as well. It's so clear to us that this is a company who does things the right way because they believe that is the best way. Attention to detail and quality trickles down from Scott to everyone else. We are really in awe of their work ethic and thoughtfulness and very grateful because we find it to be so rare. Thank you Scott and Armando!

Scotty the owner at Tekline was fantastic from the start, very quick to reply, great communication and follow through. I am used to waiting for people to call me back, Scotty called me right away, sent a guy out that same day to take a look at what supplies would be needed for my leaking skylight. The guys showed up as scheduled, did the job, left things spotless... I give Tekline 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you Scotty and team.

Everyone was super professional from the estimator, project manager, scheduler and crew -- they are an established company with real infrastructure. The estimator put our estimate aside for while -- by mistake -- so it took a while to finalize the estimate. However, he was super professional about the whole thing and apologized, which confirmed they were the right firm. The crew was competent, friendly and made things happen pretty quick. I would use them again, for sure.

Tekline has a good team from the sales rep providing estimates through to the scheduler and on site crew performing the work. In addition, the owner takes pride in meeting with customers at the end of the job to see how his team did, how the work turned out, and how they can improve in the future. Even before the work could begin which was scheduled four to six weeks out, I needed to make sure an unknown leaking area on the roof was addressed. A work crew was dispatched quickly and they did a great job securing a tarp to a broad area where the leak could be coming from avoiding further damage and calls from the tenant. I was pleased with the responsiveness of all members of the team as well as the quality of work that was done. The work crew has a lot of experience and is flexible in anticipating what needs to be done to ensure they provide a quality job that will last long after they have finished their work. I'm confident that I shouldn't have any problems but, in the event that I do, I'm confident that Tekline will take my call and send someone out to take a look to resolve any issues I may have with the roof in the future. I'm able to write this I believe because I tried to do my due diligence ahead of time and looked at 3 to four roofers making sure I understood how each one would approach the job learning from each of them things I needed handle from venting to site management and cleanup. Tekline was not the cheapest of the lot but they are worth the added price over the long run because I spread the added cost over 5 or more years and reconcile it with their high level of service, responsiveness, and work quality. They also guarantee their work. In a competitive business such as roofing, these guys are worth a call. I would hire them again.

it went very well, we have a black roof rambler and it is very hot during summer time. We hired Tekline Roofing to replace our roof and has insulation ability. Now the home is livable.

It went really, really well. The person who came out for quote was very knowledgeable, super friendly and enthusiastic about answering and educating me on the process of replacing a roof.

Tekline just completed a job on our house a week ago and did a fantastic job from start to finish. Norm, their sales representative was responsive, informative and thoughtful. He came out right away, got us a quote and sat down in person to walk us through the details. The on-site crew were talented and conscientious. They worked quickly (finished in 3 days) and were careful with our premises and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. At the end of it all, there were a few minor adjustments that were needed and they addressed them immediately. At the end of it all, the owner, Scott came out to the house to see the job and personally thank us for the business. Top notch all around. We would highly recommend them.
