First of all, I called several roofing companies. If I could get any to call me back, they were booked into October. I called Tek-Line and they were very responsive and got out within a few days to give me an estimate in spite of this being a very small job. JW came out and looked at the work to be done and said he could come out with in a week to do it. The best thing of all is that he said there would be NO CHARGE! He came when he said and got the job done quickly. I can't say enough about the professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness of Tek-Line! I highly recommend them and will recommend them to anyone needing roof repairs. I will definitely be calling them if I ever need anything done in the future!

In desperation I got Scott's name from the IB rep as being certified to work on our roofing material. We were in the middle of a kitchen renovation which required that the range hood vent be relocated. Scott told me he could have his guy do the job within the week. Andre came within a day or two and looked at the job and we realized that he needed to secure some of the IB roofing to match our existing roof. Within a day or two from then Scott called to let me know that Andre could come the next day and finish the job. Andre worked in the rain and completed the job in about 3 1/2 hours. It looks fantastic and didn't leak so we couldn't be happier. I'm so glad we now have a resource for any repairs that might be needed for this roof.

We first started talking to Adam last year about our roof options. we have a very low pitch roof that had been previously done in composition. In order to re-roof it correctly, we needed to switch to a membrane or torch down material. Adam was very helpful in helping us figure out the best way to go. He stayed in touch for the year it took us to save up and prepare for the project. When we scheduled the project, they were prompt, friendly and professional. Robert, who was our on-site project guy, worked so hard. It took about a week from beginning to end. They cleaned up at the end of each work day, kept us informed, and worked with us on the specific things we wanted to do. Scott was great at following up and making sure all the details were done right. I would highly recommend Tek-Line to anyone who needs a new roof.

I was so impressed with Tek Line, the quality of their work, their prices and their willingness to go above and beyond was so impressive. We ran into a lot of issues in purchasing a new home in Seattle. We needed to replace our roof and after getting several quotes Tek Line was in very close contact, extremely friendly and willing to work with us to get the eco friendly shingle we wanted. Their price including a skylight and adding the necessary plywood that we didn't expect and adding an additional downspout at our request it was STILL cheaper than the quote we got from another company - including their 10% off deal! They worked with us along the way and even ended up throwing in the skylight for free after we had to come up additional money to cover plywood because our roof structure was seriously lacking and the roofers couldn't properly install the shingles (the wonderful surprises you get with a 1930s house!). Tek Line was extremely accommodating and kept coming back to make sure everything was perfect, the area was clean and the quality was to our liking. We didn't find a single nail around our house after they were done and they even made us custom decorative pieces when our old ones no longer fit with the new roof. Following our roof during the time the skylight was going in we found significant wood rot and water damage in our basement and their construction side replaced it all for us for a few hundred dollars extra! We've hired 4 contractors since moving into our home 2 months ago and they were by far the BEST! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with other sleazy roofing companies. These guys were AWESOME and we couldn't be happier with all of their work.

We hired Tek-Line Construction and Roofing Company in Burien to re-roof our house. In addition we had them demolish our attached carport and reconstruct it to match the roof on the house. The job was extremely organized and moved along very smoothly. The estimated time of completion was nearly exact to the day the job was completed . From the first day they started the project to the last, there was never a time when the job was not on course. Crews consisted of roofers, carpenters, clean-up people; sub-contractor electrician; installer for insulation, all experienced in their skill. All the crew were very hard workers, stayed on schedule and only taking the time for a break or lunch. We have never hired a company that was so professional and organized in addition to having a great crew of workers. . They make it a pleasure to do business with them. We highly recommend Tek-Line Construction and Roofing Company for your projects. Thank you Ted and Adam.

They were really good. The price was reasonable and they were better than a competitor. They did everything on time as well.

I got three estimates - all from Angie's list and all excellent- and finally decided on Berendt Construction, which had the middle price. Adam provided a detailed verbal and written estimate and explained all the options available to me. His crew showed up on time everyday, worked incredibly hard, and cleaned up after themselves. Adam came by to do a final inspection, hopped up on the roof, and personally cleaned the skylight because he thought it needed one more wipe down. When the owner does that, I call that real service!!! I would definitely hire this company again. Thanks, Adam.

Adam Berendt and his crew were hardworking and professional. We appreciated how Adam worked to educate the consumer and provide options instead of a single price. When we were getting bids, Adam was the most thorough at looking at our current roof situation and providing options, but another contractor came in with a less expensive bid by significant amount. Adam met the other company’s bid without reducing the quality or the attention he gave us.

The owner, Adam, was very personable and attentive to all details and explained the work to be done in verbal detail and in writing. He came to the job site several times to assess progress and help where needed. His workers were clean, polite, friendly, hardworking, competent, and punctual. They showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Without hesitation we would highly recommend Berendt Roofing for any of your construction needs. Adam is thorough in his work, honest in his pricing and dependable to do what he says he'll do and when he will do it. This was the best experience we have had in dealing with construction projects. Everything went just as planned. The roofers did a great job of removing and installing the new roof. They cleaned up and left my yard clean.

I give them an "A" overall. They are going to do more work for me in the future.

..We had about a dozen other bids for our Roof, Gutters, skylight replacement, and chose Ace Roofing, Adam Berendt, owner. We made the right choice for several reasons. (1) the price was competitive (2) the work done was excellent (3) thecrew was friendly, competent and did a fine job plus cleanup afterward. (4) After Additonal evaluation and consultationbetween ourselves and Adam Berendt, we elected to add some insulation in our attic, did some replacement of some of the wood structure, upgraded to a ventilating system that we we were not even aware of. The price and completion of these extras was very fair. Adam even recommended a painter to us who did an excellent job following the roofing and gutters. We talked with, and had bids from several excellent roofing and gutter people, two or three of whom we feel would have done an excellent job. We felt very fortunate, however, that of the group, we chose Ace Roofing, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a first class job. Others might beat their price, but "corners might be cut" in the process. We got, at least, what we hoped for, and perhaps even more. We knew we needed at least a new layer of shingles. The owner promptly came to evaluate the roof, gave me good advice and prices of three options. He spent lots of time discussing the options and my questions. Very professional. In the end, his price was higher, so we didn't use him.

Ace Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They were one of five (5) roofing companies to bid on our project. Of the five (5) contractors, I found Adam to be the most personable and the most competitive on pricing. He spent an hour with me during our first visit to explain the bid and answer any questions I had. I knew right away where my business was going. After the initial visit, I spent the next 6 weeks reviewing roofing products and visiting sites of Ace Roofing jobs. The office staff were extremely nice and helpful. When I finally chose the product I liked best (GAF/ELK - Grand Sequoia/Autumn Brown), I phoned Adam to finalize the bid. He was very responsive, met me at the house and reviewed the services to be rendered for said price. The foreman and crew completed the project in two days. They were extremely nice and friendly. During both days, they were at the house until 6:30pm or so. They cleaned up each night and ran a magnet through the work area to pickup any stray nails. After the job, there was no trace that anyone had been at the house. No flowers or vegetables were destroyed during the removal of the roof. I would be happy to recommend Adam and Ace Roofing to any of my friends and/or readers of Angie's List. Our roof looks fantastic! Thanks Adam!

They were very personable. I liked them because they were local. The owner of the company came out to assess the job and he came out number of times to our house and answered all of our questions. They were very easy to work with. They were very honest. They were very clean and polite and very good in communication. I would recommend them to anyone. They were always on time and came out whenever they said they would come. I have some follow up work with them and they would be coming again.

Ace Roofing did an excellent job. Their overall service stood out to me the most. Their price was very good also. They were prompt, did a good job cleaning up, and offered some nice options to make the roof look nicer at not a large cost.

They were great and I can?t say enough positive things about them. They did a great job and we are very happy with the roof. They were fast and clean. The bid was reasonable. They were very pleasant to work with. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

A January wind storm left our property with shingles lying on the driveway. NOT GOOD! Knowing next to nothing about roof repair, I brought in 7 or 8 companies to give estimates. Many of them were the bigger name companies you see around town. In fact, those were all the highest $ estimates. The process was somewhat like buying a used car is some instances. Our estimates for a roof replacement ranged from 6K to 10K, with Ace Roofing coming in on the low end. While price was important for us, I also needed to feel really comfortable with the person I chose. Adam seemed like a genuine good guy, describing his company as smaller and flying a bit under the radar. That said, he has plenty of knowledge and experience in the industry, he climbed up on our roof (some guys gave bids without even getting up there!), and he patiently stuck around until all our questions were answered. I have a pretty good idea when someone is just BS'ing me, but Adam seemed to be someone I could trust with a job like this. And believe me, with a baby on the way and tax day around the corner, I DID NOT want to buy a new roof... So we decided to go with Ace. Here's the tricky part when you're having a roof installed: The guy who gives you a bid is usually not the person actually putting the new roof on... That said, I found Ace's roofing team to be very pleasant, equally professional, and they did (from what I can tell) a great job. We have a two-story home, and the roof's slope is a bit steep. We always saw them harnessed and roped in, so I felt comfortable with the guys being up there. They were courteous to my wife and myself, and they were also concerned not to litter my neighbor's yards (cleaning all yards daily). I was also impressed that they showed concern for our landscaping and ensured the sides of our house were cleaned up each day of work. In terms of the actual work, they took about 3 full days to complete the job. The weather was a factor, so it did take longer to complete than we'd hoped. It wasn't an issue though, and they did finish the job before a deadline when we were going out of town for a couple weeks. I'm pleased with the appearance of the roof, and upon my brief inspection on the roof, it looks like good work. In terms of price, I feel Ace Roofing did give us a good quote. It's not just about cost, but in our case we were comfortable with Adam AND the quote was lower than most. They only negative I could state would be that we did have a downspout fall off the roof only about a month after the job was done. It was in a spot that clearly would be affected by the replacement of the roof. While I give credit to Ace Roofing for ultimately fixing it, there was a significant delay in getting this done (about 6 weeks). In fact, I was ready to fix this myself, which I'm sure was an impending disaster waiting to happen! Thankfully it hasn't rained much, so it never was that big an issue. I've waited to post this review nearly 6 months since the job, just to make sure the roof's holding steady and we're not seeing leaks. Winter weather will be the true test to the roof, but at this point I have nothing but praise for Ace Roofing. I've referred them to several people already, and I will continue to do so. I can not speak highly enough of this company. Their customer service was top notch. They were in contact with us before, during and after the project was completed. The crew was friendly, hard working and very professional. Every day they cleaned up the yard. If it wasn't for the roofing materials left on the roof at the end of the day you wouldn't even know they had been there. That was a plus for us since we have several dogs and were concerned about nails and metal being left on the ground. Ace Roofing paid great attention to detail and we couldn't be more pleased with the final product.

Ace was fast and professional. The actual cost was a little higher than expected, but only because they found some dry rot on the perimeter of the roof and had to replace the boards.
