Description of Work: Tank Wiase "decommissioned in place" an old oil tank under my driveway. Once I called them, they quickly came on site, investigated the depth and location of the tank with test holes, and provided an initial estimate for the work. | |The bid included the following work: break up a minimal amount of the concrete driveway, excavate four feet under the driveway to reach the top of the 1000 gallon oil tank, remove all liquid from the tank (a mix of oil and water), triple rinse the tank to meet EPA requirements, fill the tank with concrete slurry, and then return the excavated dirt back into the hole. | |The workman were diligent and professional in their dealings with the homeowner (me), and completed the work according to the proposed schedule. They made three visits to my home to remove the liquid from the tank before excavation began. The oil water mixture was disposed of according to the Seattle city codes and requirements. They provided the permit form required by the Seattle Fire Department, which I completed and mailed with $111 fee. They provided me with a copy of the approved permit issued by the Fire Marshall. | |They managed the job site very well, and excavated dirt so it could easily be returned to the hole once the oil tank was filled with concrete slurry. The tank excavation and fill process took only one day. They cleaned up all the dirt and debris from the job, and left my driveway and sidewalk clean. The followed up with the Seattle Fire Department to report the work had been completed, and also provided me the form they sent to the Fire Department reporting the oil tank had been decommissioned according to Fire Code requirements.

Description of Work: Decommisioned oil tank. All was perfect however I am very sad to hear |of the Tankwise indictment for discharging oil sludge illegally into the |Duwamish River. That is why I would not use them again. The environment |is all we have left.

Description of Work: Had them decommission an old buried oil tank. I called three companies listed on Angie's list that did this kind of work. None of them returned my call. Tank Wise got right back to me. I was in the process of putting the house on the market so I needed the service right away. Tank Wise fit me in, cleaned the inside of the tank, filled it with foam, and removed the piping that was sticking out of the ground. Great job!

Description of Work: My husband and I were in the process of selling a building when he suddenly passed away. There was an old leaking oil tank on the property that needed to be removed. The perspective buyers offered to take $75,000.00 off the price and they would deal with it. While I have no experience dealing with this sort of thing, I did not think it was a 75,000.00 problem. As it turns out, I was correct. Tank Wise did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. They even reseeded the area where they dug out the tank for me. I don't think this is a service they usually offer, but they were sensitive to the everything I was dealing with. That is the type of people they are. Again, I would highly recommend them

Description of Work: TankWise did a boiler inspection at one house, a oil tank fill and cap at another house, and a furnace cleaning and inspection at that same house.
