I have used him in the past too, and he does great work. He is very efficient and good, and he is a nice person. I would rate him highly.

The owner answered his cell, said he was in the area, came by within an hour, told me the cost, completed it right then, thanked me and left. Very straight forward, efficient and professional.

Jeff returned my call the same day, set up a time to do the work, and said he'd call that day to let me know what time he'd come. He gave me a quote over the phone, and was very nice. The day of the work, he called as he said he would and said he'd be later in the day. An actual time would have been nice, because I almost missed him, but it worked out fine. I'm confident he would have called me if I wasn't home to get clear directions. Jeff removed the stumps to 6" below ground, and left a pile of chips and dust (would be nice if that was removed, but he had told me up front this would be left behind). The holly stump was in a tight location and Jeff was careful not to disrupt the existing plants as best he could. Jeff was very responsive, did wonderful work, would definitely hire again!

They were fantastic. They had some mechanical difficulties and they were able to take care of it that day. They bent over backwards to do what they said they were going to do. They stuck by their word and the quote. They were very honest. I had some difficult trees and they had told me that there could be some problems. They said that a few other trees could come down in the meantime, but they took extra precautions and they didn’t hurt the other trees. They were phenomenal. I would use them again in the future.

This is the second time that I have used Jeff's services. The first time he ground up about 30 linear feet of laurel bush roots, and various other stumps for a major re-landscaping project. Given his prompt and excellent service then, I called him up again. I placed the call Friday night, got a call back over the weekend, and he performed the three stump removals on Monday. Now that is what I call service. I cannot recommend him more. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and provides an excellent service. You won't go wrong with Stump Grinding NW.

I called the company based on the positive Angie's List reviews and I'm glad I did. Called the company and left a voice mail and was called back within a few hours. Made arrangements for a estimate two days later. I was not home but explained what I wanted done. I received a call to tell me he was on his way. Called me back with the estimate and actually did the work that day. Came home, invoice by the front door, ugly root ball gone along with the cherry stump. Very professional and did a great job. Great value as well. Will call again if needed.

Jeff is awesome! I had actually had him come out to remove stumps from my front yard several weeks ago. I couldn't make it home, but he came, did his thing and left me an invoice. We were very pleased with the results, and I had him come out to do our backyard today. As the first time, Jeff was very courteous and professional over the phone. I asked him to come before a certain time, which he obliged to, and remembered to call beforehand. I often ask contractors and companies to call before they come, but most of them forget so this was great. He arrived on time, was very friendly and professional, and gave me an estimate. I had forgotten to cut down the rose bushes (they're tucked behind a corner) and when I mentioned that, he offered to do that for me so he could remove the stumps. He even cut the branches in half so I could just throw them in the yard waste bin, which I really appreciated because these bushes had gigantic thorns. After he finished grinding the stumps, Jeff tended to the areas he had worked and made the soil nice and flat. Now my yard is clear of stumps, ready to be planted and more importantly my kids can run around safely. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone, I wish all businesses were as courteous, friendly and professional as he is!

I called Jeff a few weeks before the job to get an idea of what the cost would be. He explained his fees clearly and how he calculated them. When the tree was removed I scheduled the grinding with him for later in the week. He called and let me know that he would like to come a day earlier than planned. He showed up on time and ground the stump completely. He also made sure to take care of any large roots from the stump as well. Jeff is very professional.

Very simple and straightforward. He did what he said he would do when he said he wood do it and for the $he said it would cost.

Excellent. First of all, his price was excellent. Second, he is personable with great communication skills. He came at the time he had indicated. He ground the stumps nicely. And, as an added surprise, he used plywood to prevent the wood chips from making a huge mess. And, he cleaned up the walkway afterwords. I wish I had looked at Angie's List last year when we had first cut the big maple tree that was in front of our house down. We had assumed that it would cost a ton of money to have the stump ground. After trying unsuccessfully for a year to remove the stump with "Stump Out" and using charcoal starter fluid to burn it, we looked for a trump removal service at Angie's. I'm so glad we had Jeff grind our stump. The planting area is ready to plant!

This was a fantastic experience. I called Stump Grinding Northwest just after lunch to ask for an estimate. I left a message and less than an hour later Jeff returned my call. He came over right away, gave me an estimate and offered to do it on the spot. Just hours after my first call, the job is done and I'm very happy with the results. To top it off, Jeff was incredibly careful and considerate of my yard and the price he quoted was much less than I expected. Now that's service!

I am very pleased. Jeff was right on time, very professional, and finished the job in a short amount of time. He raked up the debris into neat piles and raked it off of the grass. Without me saying anything, he even worked around some daffodils that are popping up in our backyard close to where the stumps were. The pricing was very reasonable and he was able to calculate this on the spot. He was flexible about letting me add other stumps as well. I will definitely refer Jeff to others and we would have him out again in a heartbeat!

Called on Thursday for a quote, gave me a price based on my estimated diameter (I was off by a few inches, but he still honored the quoted price), and said he could come out Monday to do the work. I was away from the house for less than an hour, and during that time he had come and completed the job. My husband said it took him less than 30 minutes. Stump was ground plenty deep enough that when we have our new lawn installed, you'll never know there was ever a tree there. So happy with the timely response and quality of service that we may even hire him to do the hydroseeding for our new lawn.

Went very well. I highly recommend this contractor. I emailed Jeff with pictures of the stump on Friday and he did the removal the following Monday which was a holiday for many. Jeff gave me an initial estimate by email based on the photographs. I was out of town when he did the work. He called me on location to clarify the job details. The stump was larger than he expected from my pictures. He adjusted his estimate slightly which was very fair considering the size of the stump and confirmed this with me by phone prior to removing the stump. When I got back to town that night the stump was removed. The branches and a piece of the stump were neatly stacked in my backyard.

Jeff was extremely responsive. I called him the day before Thanksgiving and he showed up the Monday after. He negotiated what I thought was a reasonable price, and did the work quickly. I'm pleased with his work and would hire him again.

I called them on a particular day and they sent a guy to my house within 2 days. I was happy with the price he gave me. Since it was a small job he didn?t want to come back again. So he did the job right then and he also did a good job. He was on schedule and came when he said he would. In fact he came 10 minutes early. I thought the price was reasonable. I will use them again in future.

Jeff took care of 3 stumps for me. I wasn't home and I'd forgotten to move a bunch of rocks out of the way of one of the stumps and Jeff took care of it and put them back, cleaned up after he was finished and the areas look like there never was a tree (or stump) just what the doctor ordered

Prompt at returning phone call. Was able to work me in the morning after I called. Came on time and finished in less than one hour which included unloading and loading the large stump grinding machine from his truck. If clients have a gate, please provide the diameter of the gate to insure the machine will fit through the gate. I will use this service later this year to remove additional stumps.
