Jacob's first attempt to grind the stump was incomplete and fortunately when I confronted him, he came back out. Unfortunately, his second attempt to complete this job was still unsatisfactory. His explanation was was that "you have to stop at some point, otherwise you'll grind for 10's of feet beyond where the stump used to rest." I was told the stump would be ground down up to 6 inches below grade. What I am left with is still a 3-4 foot length of root over 12 inches in diameter that rises at least 6 inches above grade.

New owner Jacob Gleichman came out, gave me a quote, and performed the job all on one morning, which was stump grinding in an area I wished to replant. He was recommended by professional gardeners. Excellent communication, professional, gentle to the surrounding landscaping, and a nice person. Highly recommended!

Jeff was great! I emailed him on Friday and he called me back right away. It's Monday today (three days later) and he just finished the job. We had a huge stump in our backyard that we wanted ground out in order to put in a walkway. He was very methodical, knowledgeable about his equipment and did a great job, above and beyond! We have had other stump grinders who wouldn't go below grade, but he followed the roots and was able to get a lot of it out! Thanks so much! We would hire him again in a second and recommend him without hesitation.

This was the second time we had Jeff come out to grind away a stump in our city strip. Each time, he has done a fantastic job at a more-than-reasonable rate. Would absolutely recommend. Of note, this job was to finish up what one of the major tree service providers in the region failed to complete to our satisfaction ("too close to curb/water main"),,, I knew I should have just called Stump Grinding NW for the stump removal in the first place. Next time, I'll go with my gut and save some $$, too!!

Jeff is a one man show and did a great job. Came over, gave a bid, took out the stump and cleaned up. All in about an hour. Price was on par with other bids. I would highly recommend Jeff and Stump Grinding NW.

Jeff did an amazing job and so quickly. It was a tight space but he managed it perfectly and removed the entire stump. There were no issues with this work. The tree stump was next to a road, so access was easy. Jeff Taylor (owner) who did the work explained the scope of the process. When the work was completed the roadway was clean and all of the debris from the work was deposited in the work area. I was very satisfied with the work.

Jeff responded right away, and managed to swing by within the hour. The stump was within a narrow space surrounded by small granite blocks and next to a low voltage light (and I didn’t know where the cable was exactly located). The stump grinder is sizable and just fit through our 4’ gate. A few blocks were displaced by the vibrations (they aren’t cemented in), and the light cable was amazingly untouched. Jeff protected the rest of the yard from dirt spray and cleaned up after. Less than 15 minutes from arrival to departure. Also had good recs for tree replacement. His rate seems to be the going rate.

Jeff ground four stumps in our back yard. It was very tricky getting his big grinder to the stumps but Jeff did a great job maneuvering his machine through some very tight spaces. Great job and good price.

After trying to get multiple contractors to respond to my request, Jeff responded immediately. He set an appointment for the next day, showed up on time and offered to do the job that day! He was great and the job went so smoothly/quickly with great clean up.

The work was done promptly, quickly and efficiently. Afterwards I needed to remove extra debris and reshape the areas that were ground up. I was quite happy with the root removal job.

Terrific! It is gone! He came as promised, gave a good recommendation where he counseled us to not spend the additional $80 to go deeper under ground. He was very thoughtful and super nice. Very knowledgeable. For the quality it was a great deal!

Terrific contractor. Has a very nice communication style, as he takes the time to make sure he understands the client's needs; and then even offering suggestions. In particular, this contractor had terrific contacts with regulatory (municipal) authorities that made quick work of what would have otherwise taken me weeks. Can't say enough about the quality of his services.

Work went very well. Jeff was willing to be flexible to our schedule as we were having other work done on the house. He came by to check out the site and explained clearly what would be done. Access to the yard where the stump was is difficult, but Jeff figured out how to get the grinding machine up some steps and around a narrow sidewalk The grinding itself went very quickly, and we were left with a neat pile of fine wood chips. Jeff cleaned everything up and left the yard in good shape. Highly recommended!

Very quickly and easily. I don't think Jeff from Stump Grinding Northwest was here for an hour. He arrived, set up the grinder and did the work, cleaned up the area, collected the payment and that was that.

Excellent! Jeff got all the work done quickly and neatly. This was our second time having Jeff do stump grinding for us and we would definitely hire again if we have more work to be done.

Jeff responded to my call within a couple of hours and was able to grind the stumps on the next business day. Unlike some other landscapers that rent a grinder (and thus have to schedule multiple grindings on one day to make it worth their while), Jeff owns his. This allowed for quick scheduling and completion of the job. He was also able to give a more competitive price. Lastly, Jeff was a very nice man and we had a lovely conversation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I reached out to several companies for this project. Jeff was the most responsive, and the most professional. Not only did he get the job done, he was incredibly nice. He got the job done the day of the quote in less than an hour.
