They were very professional and helpful over the phone. Very competitive with the other firm I investigated. Very prompt. They delivered oil the very next day.

Anytime I had a request they were very responsive. My overall experience with them has been good.

These guys seem pretty good. They didn't charge me for my first service visit provided I would buy their annual service contract, which was nice. The repairman was also quite informative on how the furnace works and what to watch out for. He got it running to 78% efficiency, which is good by most forced oil heating standards. He did his job when he was scheduled and in a timely manner. They also filled up my tank, but only after I called them twice and scheduled them twice to do it. They also called to automatically fill up my tank, but didn't do so without my approval first. Oil is an expensive way to heat your house here in Seattle, but it can be cheaper than firewood. My strong recommendation is that if you have to heat your house with oil, first spend money on good attic insulation, window and door weather stripping, close off unused rooms, get drapes for windows and put plastic sheeting over single pane windows, and get a programmable thermostat . Only use the oil to heat up your place initially and then keep some quiet electric space heaters to keep selected rooms warm. This will drastically cut down your heating bills.

I have an oil burning furnace and have been using Sound Oil for oil delivery as well as furnace maintenance for decades. They offer a delivery service that anticipates my needs based on a personal use profile. I never have to worry about when to fill the tank it just happens at the appropriate intervals. Their oil price is competitive and they even offer a bio-fuel option. I also have a furnace contract at an affordable price. This contract covers an annual inspection and service as well as most repairs during the year. I have been pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of all the technicians over the years. I would recommend this company to anyone with similar needs.

I've used them for many years; it has probably been 30 years. They have been very good. The price of the contract has gone up. I like the fact that they have a contract and nobody at the rental house has had any complaints about their service throughout the years. I've had the rental house for 30 years and they have gone out all but 3 years. They are reliable. The guy I work with is a super nice guy but I think he has some memory loss. I have to keep calling him to send out a card. They have always been very responsive except for recently with the one fellow. They are eager to please.

They topped the tank. They had also serviced the house around two years back. They have a good track record. We were happy with their service.

Overall, the service has gone well. They are consistent and show up on time.

They supply me with the oil and do the maintenance of my heater, which is quite old and they do a good job.

The temps dropped the week before and even though we hadn't used the furnace in a few month we were concerned because the heat wasn't working. After calling a few other companies we found on line that couldn't see us until next week, then we found Sound Oil. They came out within 24 hours and gave us an estimate that we found in line with what we had heard, but what really won us over is how consultative and professional the heating contractor was. Of course being Seattle the weather changed and it's warm again, but now we are ready for winter.

EXCELLENT!!! Not only do these people know their oil furnaces, but their office staff is friendly and helpful. They saved me $118 by contacting the manufacturer of a failed part and obtaining warranty coverage, then they gave me a break on labor chargers in exchange for switching my oil delivery service to them, which I agreed to only after confirming that they are also competitive on price. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I love the fact that their LEAST experienced serviceman has 12 years with the company, and the now retired 72-year-old founder of this small company still comes into the office once a week to check on things.

Outstanding service. We have a service contract with Sound Oil that we've never used except the annual maintenance. Sound Oil made three service calls in a 24-hr period and fixed the furnace to our satisfaction. The 3 different technicians that visited were courteous, professional and punctual. They didn't stop until the job was complete.

Excellent. Sound oil were always punctual and professional. The office staff seemed to really enjoy getting phone calls, and the two tech guys that came out to baby our 30-year old behemoth furnace really knew their stuff. They reused parts where they could, and always explained things to me in detail. I almost didn't switch to gas because I like sound oil so much - cook stoves with diesel just don't work though.

We have been with them for 15 years and have had a very good experience. They are professional and punctual, I will continue to use them.

Thanks to their willingness to work with me on a doable solution. They saved me a bundle of money and got my heat back on quickly. They were very sympathetic to my situation and got the tech to me same day both calls.

We have done business with Sound Oil for more than 20 years and they are super prompt on service calls; their technicians are clean, polite and know their business. When our furnace went out they replaced it immediately so we were not without heat. We have never had a bad experience with this company. I recommend their service contract which is not expensive and includes a yearly checkup.

This company caused a major headache because they were saying a new furnace was required of the landlord, but it was not. The landlord did not buy it, and until he fixed the fume problem by replacing the flu, we were in the dark, and fumes to boot. They were polite but marked the furnace has having a cracked heat exchanger, when in fact they could not tell that without pulling it out. They are purported as being a decent company but got this one wrong. Do not work with these people.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, THEY DID A GOD JOB. THE PEOPLE WHO DID THE WORK ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE, IT'S AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH THEM THAT I HAVE AND THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. THE QUALITY OF WORK THAT THEY DO IS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

WE HAD IT SET UP TO HAVE MONTHLY DELIVERIES ONLY ON CALL AS NEEDED. INSTEAD THEY WAITED UNTIL THE OIL PRICES HIT THE HIGH POINT, CAME AND FILLED THE TANK (MORE THAN EVER BEFORE) AND REFUSED TO PUMP OUT WHEN ASKED.

WE HAVE HAD SOUND OIL REPAIR AND MAINTAIN OUR OIL FURNACE FOR 15 YEARS AND WE HAVE NEVER RUN OUT OF OIL AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS PERFORMED THEIR WORK PROMPTLY.
