Simply Clean

They are great. They have actually been cleaning our house for awhile on a regular basis and they are really good. We used them for probably about a year or so.

They cleaned both bathrooms from top to bottom, all three bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room. My niece said they did an excellent job from start to finish. The cleaners were professional, prompt and focused on cleaning my sisters home. We are very happy with the outcome.

2 young ladies showed up on time, I left for work and returned to inspect later that night after they were gone. I felt it was a very average job. Many areas were not cleaned thoroughly. I expected more for 400 dollars. It was not terrible and they did clean, I just ended up having to re-clean many areas again.

They sent one lady to work, she moved at the speed of a turtle and spent all her time arranging things. I have lost some things because she moved things. Cleaned and organized my fridge. Cleaned oven which is self cleaning. She wiped off counters, but didn't clean cabinets. Owner called and said she would not be able to finish, I said she was arranging instead of cleaning. The woman didn't speak English. Very disappointment.

A little bumpy at first, as they missed our first appointment. But, they fixed the situation and sent over a GREAT cleaning woman. They're a little pricier than I'd like, but I realize you pay for what you get. Would recommend.

She didn't miss a thing. It was wonderful.

Did an excellent job except for some dirt spots missed on hard wood floor. very pleasant and professional cleaners. House has not been so clean in a long time. Overall I am very pleased.

I have mixed feelings about this company. On the one hand, the cleaning woman (Galina) did an excellent job. She brought all her own cleaning supplies, so I never had to worry about running out of anything. On the other hand, the company would occasionally send other people along with Galina for the purpose, I assume, of being trained by her. I don't particularly care to have strange people in my house, and the company never got my okay to do this. Galina eventually became ill and stopped coming, and despite the fact that the company assured me that they had some perfect for me (not sure what that means), I decided to look elsewhere for a cleaning person, given that Simply Clean is kind of expensive. Overall, though, I was very satisfied with the quality of their work, but having a foreign-speaking cleaning person made communication a little difficult at times.

Everything went as expected.

It was tough to contact them (took several attempts) but once I got in contact with Jim their Ops Mgr, it was easier to schedule. One of the cleaners showed up on time, the other showed up about an hour late, and then ate her breakfast before starting. They ended up calling one of their boyfriends to help. The cleaning was ok, but not great. Some of the bigger issues: They refused to move the refrigerator ("company policy") to clean behind it, which is pretty standard in move out cleans. Since it had to be cleaned, I literally had to move it myself (no problem, since it's on wheels) and cleaned behind it while all three cleaners stood there and watched me. They did let me use their cleaning products to do so, so there's that, I guess. They really didn't do very well with the carpets - they vacuumed, but there was clearly still hair on them, so I asked them to vacuum again. When they thought they were done, they took all their cleaning stuff to their cars before they told me they were done. So they had to go back and get their vacuum in order to re-vaccum. When they re-vacuumed it was clear that they hadn't really vacuumed the first time as all the hair and dirt came up. They missed cleaning an entire closet. They did clean it after I noticed it, but they were clearly annoyed that I asked them to do so. They refused to even sweep the tiny balcony (it's about 6 x 5 ft). They said that the $300 does not include any outside work. I just figured they could easily sweep it but they said no. I checked the deal fine print and they were right that it excludes outside work, but I was kind of in a bind since I had already moved all my stuff out and had nothing there to sweep the balcony with. I ended up having to make a special trip back to the apartment with a broom to sweep it off. There was still a fair amount of grime on the window sils. The cleaner told me that the apartment was too dirty...but that's why I hired professional cleaners to clean it rather than doing it myself. It's a move-out clean, so what do they expect? I gave my landlord their contact information in case she saw any problems. She said they damaged the blinds and contacte them. Not sure how it worked out - no one followed up with me about it.

I have never been as impressed with service as I was with the cleaning performed to my house on November 26th! I?d neglected the deep cleaning in my home for several months and had purchased a Big Deal to clean my 1700 sq ft home. The deal was to cover 1500 sq ft and I was only charged an additional $30 for the extra 200 sq. feet. I was not able to be home for the cleaning but felt comfortable leaving a key given the 100% satisfaction guarantee and the fact that Simply Clean is associated with Angies List. My trust was not misplaced. When I returned home I was bowled over by how clean everything was. Vacumming, dusting, beds made, spotless appliances and floors. They even found missing socks that had fallen behind the washer and dryer! I walked around in the bright sun for a day or two, looking for something they might have missed, but I?ve found nothing. Inside windows were even cleaned - something I was NOT expecting. I will be continuing their service every two weeks. I'm tired of having to scramble to clean every time I have guests... now my home will always be ready!

We used Simply Clean for a little over a year but we recently cancelled our service following a string of poor experiences. 1) Our cleaner changed three times in the period that we used the service. Because our building is secured, we need to let the cleaner in for each appointment and provide the codes necessary to enter the main door and our unit. Every time the cleaner changed, we had to teach the new person the process which is time consuming. The main office did not do a very good job of transferring knowledge about the process of entering our building between cleaners because every time a new one came out, they would end up being late because they were looking for parking - even though we had a place for them to park in our garage. 2) Even beyond the first appointment, cleaners were often very late to arrive. As part of the arrangement alluded to above, we would pull our car out of the secured garage so that the cleaner could pull in and park in our spot. Often, we would end up waiting on the street for 30 minutes or more. Much worse than being late, however, is the fact that there was no notification about the late arrival from the office or from the cleaner and getting an ETA involved calling the office, who would then call the cleaner, who would then call me back. In some cases, the cleaner would get lost and we would need to do multiple rounds of three-way calling, which is very frustrating when you're running late for work. It would have been so much simpler if the cleaner herself could just call or text me directly if she was going to be late. 3) In the spring, we were upsold on a "deep spring cleaning" promotion in place of our regular appointment at an extra change. For this one-time appointment, we were sent yet another set of cleaners, who also arrived late and who naturally required an explanation of the building access process. Unfortunately, this group of cleaners spoke almost no English, so I didn't have confidence that they understood what I was telling them and I ended up being nervous all day at work that they were going to get locked out of the building and need me to come home and let them in. Thankfully, they managed to complete the job and successfully get out of the building, but when we came home, we didn't notice a discernible difference in the depth of cleaning from our standard appointment. 4) Overall, we thought the quality of cleaning was good but not amazing. Simply Clean was the first cleaning service we've hired so we can't really compare, but we had hoped for an experience where we'd come home and occasionally say "Wow, I can't believe they cleaned *there*!" I can't say we ever got that from Simply Clean. We finally decided to cancel the service after the cleaner showed up 45 minutes late for our regular appointment. We called the office three times while waiting and were told she was almost there. On the last call, the office told me that she would be there in 5 minutes and asked "is that ok for you?", which I wasn't sure how to answer. There didn't seem to any acknowledgement that this was a massive failure of customer service - no offer to waive/discount that month's service, no follow-up with an apology, nothing. When I emailed to request cancellation, the response I got indicated complete surprise at my dissatisfaction. Once I re-enumerated the issues above, I received a follow-up from someone higher up in the company offering a bunch of concessions to encourage me to reconsider. However, since I don't like getting good customer service only by threat of cancellation, we decided to proceed and will be looking for another cleaning service.

Simply Clean did a good job. The cleaning crew of 2 arrived on time, worked diligently for about five hours, and left my house cleaner than I think it's ever been. They vacuumed and dusted also - very thorough! They even carefully arranged the pillows on the beds and furniture! The cleaning personnel get straight A's as far as I'm concerned. I gave the service a B for responsiveness because they didn't contact me as the Angie's List deal had indicated they would, and scheduling and communicating through the Angie's list system really didn't work. Once I was in touch with them by phone, communication worked fine.

I have used this service before for move out of a house in April 2013 and requested the same service provider, Olga. She is always on time, incredibly efficient, hardworking, and professional. Olga goes right to work and does not waste any time. If any time left over from identified projects she found areas to clean. She does deep cleaning and I know when she is done that I can be confident that my house is clean!! They use green products which is important to me. The scheduler Rossmery, was also efficient and was able to meet my request in a short period of time with the person I requested. I would use this service again and recommend to others.

Ingrid cleaned our entire house for 8 hours for only $180. She did an amazing job.

The did a great job and stayed until it was all done- all for the agreed upon charge.

This is the BEST company ever. I've been working with them for 4 or 5 years. They are a family run business that is super professional. They have high standards, are super organized, and they have great staff. Their manager, Michael, has outstanding customer service skills. I highly recommend them.

Person arrived on time and cleaned as prescribed by vendor. The coupon I purchased was for 1500 sqft deep clean for $280. My duplex is 1400 sqft total. The cost was outrageous... especially when I had to pay an extra $100 when they learned I had two kitchens and they wouldn't let me split the coupon to use twice in my 700 sq ft one bedroom rental. The quality of the work they did was no better than what I can do and have done... I just needed someone to come in after several months of doing minimal cleaning myself... I do not know what products they used, they weren't harsh chemicals which was good. It was unfortunate that the product left ugly streaks on my granite countertops... I'll keep cleaning my apartments myself thanks.

Due to interior remodel in part of the house, there was a large layer of construction dust stuck to everything and the house had been unable to be cleaned in at least 4 weeks. I had good communications with the scheduler in advance of the cleaning to verify they would send someone who had good reviews from homes with antiquities, ability to wash walls, and a few other special needs I had. She was great. My cleaner showed up about 15 minutes early. While she was great, I was surprised to see only one person for such a huge job. She did an incredible job, worked like a maniac (albeit carefully) and somehow managed to do everything herself. She arrived a bit before 8am and was finally complete around 4pm. In my opinion, this was job was WAY too much for one person. It's my fault for assuming, but based upon other reviews I assumed there would be a team of at least two cleaners. I would have appreciated knowing to expect only one, and further, to be given a general idea of how long it would take since I had to plan my day around the work. I understand it may be hard to estimate given it's a project by square foot rather than a checklist, however, knowing how many cleaners to expect is something I'd recommend asking about if you are considering this service. All in all, the work was an incredible deal. I had a regular service started with them the following week and was impressed with the new/regular cleaner they assigned me (different person) and would return to them for ongoing service when I need it again in the future.

We spoke with them on the phone, they were very pleasant and accommodating. The deal didn't cover what we needed, we misunderstood, so we are getting a refund through Angie's List.

I have never employed a cleaning service before, but thought it would be good to do so because I was selling my condo. I arranged with Simply Clean to have one cleaner come out for six hours to deep clean the kitchen and one bathroom. The cleaner's name was Tatiana. She is hard of hearing but was super nice and professional. The kitchen has never undergone a deep clean before, but it was pretty much shiny after she got done with it. My painter actually commented afterwards on how clean the kitchen turned out and how unfortunate it is I wasn't going to stay to enjoy it. Tatiana also did a deep clean on one bathroom. It also turned out very clean and shiny. After my roommate moved out, I ended up cleaning his bathroom and could not achieve the cleanliness and shine that she produced in my bathroom. Ugh.

Before hiring for ongoing cleaning READ THIS REVIEW. The A ratings are for the initial deep cleaning; not for ongoing maintenance. Products used - They advertise ?Non-toxic?, ?Green products? but that wasn't true for us. They use regular cleaning products (one of the women left the bottle of Comet cleaner at my house) and charge you a premium for it. Reliability ? Had their service for over a year for cleanings 2x a month. Had at least 8 different house cleaners which always needed a different date and time ? a huge inconvenience when trying to plan your day, especially since you have to show them around and answer all their questions again. At least half the time I was expecting them they had to reschedule; many times on the same day they were scheduled after I was waiting for them to arrive. On three of the occasions where they didn't show up I was told they or their family member was in the hospital ? which seems either really unfortunate or a lie as it happened twice in a row. The last person told me 2 weeks in advance that she was leaving and they waited until the day before my scheduled cleaning to call to schedule someone else (who wasn't available until the next week) then they didn't show up on that day either. Quality ? The first deep clean is great. Then they say that each visit they will deep clean another part of the house. They DON?T. The majority of the people that came did an adequate surface job. I would say of cleaners that I have had before they were definitely the worst and the most expensive. If you read through the other reviews you will see most are for the initial deep cleaning or they never had a professional house cleaning. I didn't read closely enough when I saw the A rating. Do your homework before hiring.

I felt uncomfortable with the firing of questions when I asked about the rate setting practices. After giving them answers to my address, the lack of near term construction, my tidiness, they cam up with a bi-weekly visit fee that was extremely high. I have a small place, with no animals and few people visiting. I think they just use a formula. It can't be square foot. But in any case, I wish them the best of luck in their business. We all need more small businesses.

Great job by company in scheduling, cleaning team in being on time and thorough. I had purchased a Big Deal and it really worked out. I am happy to spend the night at home again. After my cleaning, I called back because I thought windows needed to be done better. The company was accommodating and sent somebody the same day. I would definitely use again.
