Amazing Work on Exterior Painting. Mike, Jose & team were so professional that I am surprised with the few negative reviews they got. It is impossible for me to imagine Mike and team doing a sloppy job. They are perfectionist. They may take a day more to finish the job but the job is done right. In my case - I found out that my house has some outside paint layers peeling off from some sections so I needed sections of the house painted rather than the full house as that would be very expensive. Mike gave me very accurate estimate for the two sides including approximate hours it would take to complete the job. He was right on the money with no surprises when the job was done. As my house is built before 78 and there is a possibility that the older layers of paint are not lead free, Mike & team plastic wrapped the full house sides including the ground to form a barrier before work started & Hepa vaccumed everydust particle out and disposed it off correctly every single day after the job was done. The job took over 3 days. They double primed the areas and painted the sides to match up with the non painted sections & the sides almost look new. Mike was so accommodating that even though he had 2-3 Major jobs to do at the same time- he fit in my relatively smaller job between the two because he had scheduled me in. Kudos! to Piece of Cake painting in completing the job as promised. They will be back this year to complete the remaining sides. I highly recommend them to anyone who has houses to be painted/patched. Pluses - Job done with perfection with no cut corners - Precise upfront cost estimates with no hidden shockers. Including warnings of possible overrun costs in case something is found - Completed the job as promised even with multiple rain days, schedule issues etc - Very friendly and responsive to concerns Minus -None. Note - They get very busy during the short sunny months so please be flexible...

I bought a deal from them via Angie's List, but as it turned out they were not able to provide what we needed in the time frame we needed. They were prompt and courteous in their communications, and when it became clear this wasn't going to work they were helpful in getting our deal purchase refunded.

I have been extremely disappointed with the work this company has done so far and am concerned/surprised at how they have an A rating on Angie's List. I purchased a Big Deal from them which covered 8 hours of painting. I set up an appointment with the company; later they emailed me letting me know they would be 30 minutes late, although they ended up arriving 45 minutes later. At this point in time hardly any work has been completed! They took multiple breaks and it took them around 6.5 hours to tape the walls and put plastic down; during 2 of these hours the manager was present, however he actually noted that he worked for 4 hours. I have painted multiple times and know for a fact that it never takes that long to tape and lay down plastic throughout a house. While they painted they were extremely slow and took unneeded breaks. An hour into the work they tell me they have to leave early to finish another project. They have hardly painted anything in my house, took an exuberant amount of time to prep, and have provided extremely poor quality thus far. Following this they told me that they would come to my house tomorrow to finish the work; they never asked if that was ok and we had never talked about or planned this beforehand. They are very shady and it seems that they are trying to charge me more by taking a longer time to complete the work. I would please like this company to compensate me: whether that means giving me a part of my money back so I may find another Service Provider or finish the work that was originally planned/what I purchased. This type of job should have been handled in one day and finished today.

I like the painting job that they did. I think it was good.

Mike came by, gave me an estimate and we agreed on a time for him to do the work. The initial estimate was for 32 man hours of painting. I needed to postpone the work as the sheet rock wasn't going to be completed in time. I rescheduled with Mike, but the job he was working on took longer than he expected and he wouldn't be able to start until the following day, a Friday. He arrived with Miguel and started to work immediately. I had to leave for a few hours and when I returned, I found that he was ready to do more than I expected, an interior wall that I was planning to finish. I was assured that the additional work could be completed in the estimated time frame. After working all day Friday, Mike told me they'd finish on Saturday. Miguel came back on Saturday with another helper, Raphael, and they finished the work. In all the job took 25 hours, instead of the 32 quoted and the bill reflected that difference. Even better than the financial aspect was the work the crew did; my wife and I are beyond pleased. Mike and his crew did a job that exceeded my expectations, at less cost than quoted. If you need a high quality, ethical painter, use Piece of Cake.

Went very well. Very courteous, conscience and excellent job. I have had others that came in and did not do as good of a job. He did take a bit more time, but worth it. Did a quality job. I would use him again.

I've had other painters in to paint other rooms, but the work Mike, from Piece of Cake, did is far and away the best! Mike was terrific - personable, professional, and conscientious. I only wish I had other rooms that need painting so I could hire him back! When I do, he'll be the one I'll call.

I had bought the discounted rate offered through Angie's list of $249 for 8 hours. They arrived a few minutes before 8am (our scheduled time) and were very professional. Mike explained everything in advance so I knew what to expect - he is really great! Mike's worker was quiet and worked like a dog - only taking a lunch break. He was here about 30 minutes longer than the 8 hours so I wanted to make sure he got paid for all of his time. I wanted to tip him as well so I had Mike charge me for the full hour. That plus the painting supplies added $83 more to my total bill. I feel like it was a total bargain, given it would have taken me 2 days to get it done and it wouldn't look nearly as nice. I will absolutely use Piece of Cake painting again. In fact, I asked for some extra cards so I could share them with my neighbors. So happy I found them!!!

Mike came in the morning to check out the job and left Alfredo to do the work, which was excellent. I was surprised when Mike showed me a list of extra charges such as for rollers, blue tape, plastic, painters paper on the floor. For my small utility room the extras only amounted to $18. but I have never had that experience before.

Mike was always on time and very professional. I have three small children and he was very respectful of our scheduled cleanings and safety of our family. His work was top quality . WE would definitely use him again.

I was VERY pleased. The workman (I'm so sorry that I cannot remember his name.) arrived right on time and started to work immediately. He worked with only one short break for 8 hours. He completed the job and cleaned up well, (There was not even one speck of paper on the floor or anywhere else.)

Mike and Jose did a great job. The rooms look great. They showed up on time, charged a fair price for the work they did and were pleasant and easy to deal with. I would definitely hire them again.

Went really well. Mike came out to give me an estimate and recommended paints. Painters were prompt, and one minor issue that I had afterwords was quickly resolved by Mike. I would definitely use them again!

I reached out twice and no call back. I even tried their online booking and no one followed up.

I purchased a big deal (painter for a day). The provider contacted me and let me know that their schedule is booked for the next 2 months due to the huge response. As I didn't want to wait that long to get 1 room painted I asked for a refund.

Mike Bloom came on time, gave good estimates and completed the work in a timely manner. He was conscientious about prepping, so he did not mess anything else up and always cleaned up when done.

Mike and his team did an excellent job containing the lead paint dust from our 1920s home. Mike made me feel comfortable with the process and his certifications and abilities the entire way through the project. Mike was always responsive and arrived at exactly the time he said he would. He was flexible working around our family plans to be out of town during the painting process (we have three young children.) He was respectful and professional and, above all, did an awesome job. The house looks great!

Came out for the estimate and thoroughly went over the estimate with us. His crew started on time, ran into some issues with the paint we selected but worked through the weekend to help us get into our house on time. There were a couple errors we discovered afterwards, which Mike agreed to come back and fix. The place looks great, and he was very pleasant to work with on all aspects of the job.

Arrived on time, friendly, very good worker. Stayed longer than scheduled to finish extra work. High quality work, looks beautiful. Very reasonably priced.

The owner did not leave the person painting adequate supplies for cleanup and the contractor could have probably done a little better job. He did the work fine but the finish product was just okay.

Mike & Co. showed up every morning on time, left on time. They got the work done in the time he estimated. Mike's communication was excellent--he called me to let me know how things were progressing without my prompting. On a damp day he let me know he didn't want to chance painting in the rain. I think they did a wonderful job and the house won't need to be repainted for a long time. Since they sanded so much, the paint will adhere well. Cheaper painters offered to just pressure wash and repaint and didn't suggest primer or the extensive sanding. But Mike pointed out the poor condition of the existing paint job and damaged wood and told me what really needed to be done for the welfare of the house. He didn't want to do the job the wrong way just to be cheaper. He also could have done more had I wanted it--so he wasn't trying to push me into the most expensive job. They also did a great job of cleanup and were respectful of the shrubs. Great experience!
