They were prompt and careful with my belongings. They were courteous and they made me feel very comfortable. I would hire them again.

There was tight passage between a deck with stairs and the retaining wall/bamboo hedge with fence. The crew negotiated it carefully and safely. The move was completed quickly and well.

Great crew! I've hired several movers previously and these guys were the best. Crew of three. Great personalities and they just kept on working and working. I have a lot of stuff (too much!) and they packed the truck using every square inch of room. The biggest game of Tetris ever - and they won. They were completely honest and communicative about their pricing and time estimates - right on target. Nothing broken, and they even helped put a big arbor into the back of my truck so that I could haul it to the new home. I wouldn't hesitate using these guys again. And I've NEVER said that about a moving company before.

Scott came to our home and spent over an hour working on the estimate for our move and explaining to us how our move would be handled. He showed up on time on the agreed upon moving day with a very friendly and competent crew. They loaded us in the time estimated. Scott did a masterful job of packing the truck. I was amazed at how much fit into so little space. Then, Scott drove the truck personally to KY. He arrived on schedule. He hired the crew on the KY end and personally supervised the unloading. The final coast was right on the money of what Scott had estimated. Everything arrived in good condition, even our glass china cabinet. Nothing was broken or missing. Overall, it was a very pleasant moving experience.This man is good at what he does. I would hire him again in a minute!

They showed up the first day, and packed up most of the house. On the second day they moved us. We were a little upset about the job down by the packers on the first day...it seemed they'd left quite a bit unpacked. But we thought maybe that was just the way it was. Well the crew on the second day, without our prompting, told us that not nearly enough had been packed, and so, in addition to moving us out of a two-story house with only a spiral staircase and into a new house with 30 stairs from sidewalk to front door on a very hot day, gave us a significant discount on the work from the day before. Scott, the owner, is INCREDIBLY customer focused, going above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

The movers showed up on time and worked quickly and carefully. In and out in about 3 hours. I gave them a B for punctuality because the wood flooring they brought up was in the back of a uhaul. I needed to have the truck back by a certain time and wasn't able to make it. I was charged a $40 late fee from the truck rental store. Even though the movers knew what time I had to return the truck, I do believe they worked hard towards having the truck emptied but there was a lot of wood flooring that needed to be unloaded.

They arrived on time, were friendly, quick, helpful, and very professional. They knew I was working with a tight budget (something I'd explained when I booking the services), and they remained cognizant of that the entire time...informing me of when we were getting close to the time I'd been able to book. They did a great job loading, padding, and unloading my belongs - not one thing was damaged!! And they did it all with a sense of humor. I couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. I will never move without Nice Moves again.

The crew of 3 was excellent. They came on time, worked hard and fast, and did an excellent job. There was no damage of note to any of our furniture. I would definitely use them again.

I got a quick response to my request for a quote, I booked them online, they showed up on time ready to go. After a little bit of paperwork and a quick walk through of the house, they moved me out, drove to the new place and unloaded. For the second move we arrived at the storage facility, the elevaotr was out and my unit was on the 3rd floor, but that didn't present a problem, we took the stairs, unloaded the unit and moved it to the house. In all it was about as painless as a move could be.

I loved these guys. The team I had was Paul and Stefan-- and they were superb-- cheerful, bright (important insofar as they had great spatial reasoning), swift, amiable. I'll ask for them again when I move the rest of my furniture this summer.

Overall things went well. The guys were friendly and responsive. One of the crew was new and had to be managed closely. While they were very capable, we did find a few of our larger items (bookcases) had some minor damage and scratches after the fact. They did do a great job of ensuring our heirloom dresser was treated well -- it came through without any issues.

Scott responded promptly to my request for an appointment, and was able to give me the time and date I needed. He explained the pricing levels well, and his website is also easy to navigate and understand. The two-person team arrived only slightly late and seemed to take a while to get started. Once in gear, they worked hard under suboptimal conditions (having to park the truck in the middle of the street, tight corners in the apartment). We had already prepared our furniture by wrapping and padding, which made the process faster. They did knock some plaster off a wall (tight corner) and cause slight damage to a desk, because their hand truck was unpadded. Afterward, Scott promptly came out to inspect the damage, and paid according to the insurance option I'd selected. If you have expensive furniture, you'd probably want to pay more for a higher level of insurance, as the damage compensation at the lowest level would not be enough to repair better furniture. I was impressed with Scott's professionalism. The time and expense were essentially what was quoted, and we added $40 for tips.

They showed up earlier than we expected so as a result we weren't there to let them in so they sat, which was our fault. I was trying to keep them within a time window but they wanted to inventory every item with only two movers. Once they left the first location, they stopped and took a lunch break of 30-45 minutes. That did allow me time to get to the second location and setup but not sure if that is normal procedure or not. Ultimately they didn't charge us for the lunch break but the move did exceed the quote by $180.00. I'm hesitant to use them again because of the overage on the quote and the number of people that assisted. I actually did 40% of the carrying the items to and from the truck to assist them in getting it done faster.

We had our challenges (I'm sure *every* move does), but all were solved with a *great* attitude and "can do" approach that made the experience a pleasure. Of course there was lots of hard work, but working with the Nice Moves crew made it about as enjoyable as any move can be. Aaron had a plan and approach that immediately allayed my "BIG move" concern and has such a gentle and friendly demeanor that he immediately improved my very stressful mind-set. Stefan was the philosopher and always had an insightful and interesting observation. Paul was go, go, go and always had a solution or technique to improve packing or organization. Brian was in constant motion with a fantastic "no problem" attitude that made decisions easy and results perfect. THANK YOU Aaron, Brian, Paul, and Stefan. I really appreciate your help, but when we all agreed the '80s were the best, I knew no tangle of moving confusion would stop us!

Overall, it went very well. The movers were on time, fast, efficient and careful. Nothing arrived broken or damaged. I had to purchase wardrobe boxes for my clothes rather than "borrow" them, but other than that, I was completely satisfied.

The first contact I had with Nice Moves, over the phone, started a professional moving process. All the employess from the person that answered the phone (Aaron), to the packers and movers, (David & Justin) and the owner (Scott) had outstanding knowledge, skill, and exhibited high customer service skills. My mother need to be out of her apartment within 2 weeks so we had a short turn around. Aaron took all the information about the move, scheduled the move, asked pertinent questions about the locations and size of apartments, quoted hourly charges, and approximately how many hours he thought it would take to complete the move. He then asked me to go to their website to submit the paperwork needed. I submitted the paperwork and within 24 hours received a email reply confirming the date as well as a phone call from Scott restating hourly charges. Justin and David arrived right on time to pack and move. They brought everything needed to accomplish the job and worked diligently thoughout the day and into the evening. During the move they were faced with many obstacles. These obstacles included getting stuck more than once in the elevator. (They fixed the elevator themselves since they couldn't find anyone to help them.) Working around elderly residents in hallways and elevators, and walking long distances in the facilities to get to the apartments. Justin and David were patient, calm and careful throughout the move. Not one item was broken or scratched. Upon completion of the move David completed specific paperwork indicating every item that was included in the cost of the job. This included hours worked; (setting aside break and lunch times), cost of each and every box and additional charges. The total charge for the move was $300 less than was paid for the same move one year ago, with us responsible for packing. Even though moving can be a high stress activity "Nice Moves" works hard to make the experience as painless as they can.

They did a great job of maximizing space in the truck, and nothing was broken (that we've found). The final cost ended up being less than the estimate, and we were so happy with their work that we gave them a tip.

Simply put, Nice Moves is hands down the best moving company we've ever worked with - including larger companies that have moved us as part of corporate relocations. They took the utmost care with our pieces, were friendly and outgoing, enjoyable to talk to, and made sure to understand where we wanted individual furniture pieces and boxes to go. In addition, they were quick - our entire move took about 3.5 hrs, including breaks (which you aren't billed for). We really enjoyed working with them, and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for first class movers with a great attitude who you can feel comfortable with in your house. A+.

The owner, Scott, got back to me right away and was very helpful in scheduling my move and estimating the cost. The guys showed up on time, were perfectly prepared, took an inventory of my belongings and then proceeded to carefully load the truck. I hadn't done a particularly good job of packing because it was a local move, but they handled it very well and ensured that everything was secured and positioned to prevent breakage. They unloaded the truck quickly and carefully and placed all of my furniture exactly where I requested. They were very patient and even moved things around for me so I could see where my furniture looked best and took the time to make sure my shelving was spaced evenly and level. Then we drove to my storage unit and they unloaded the rest of my stuff and again were super nice and patient and put everything exactly where I wanted it! They were great and went above and beyond what I would expect from a typical moving company. I would absolutely hire them again and I recommend them highly!

It was fine. They do have a minimum time period to use the service which wasn't particularly clear. I would use them again if I had 2 hours worth of work.

Scott spent 20 minutes on the phone with me discussing options to move a large chest of drawers into an upstairs bedroom. The chest doesn't fit up the stairs, so we wanted to have it moved in through an upstairs window. Throughout our conversation Scott was very honest and thorough. In the end, he came out to our house to get a better sense of the difficulty of the move. When we determined that the window wasn't an option, Scott even helped us try to get the chest up the stairs one more time. We weren't successful, but it felt good having consulted a professional before deciding to ditch the dresser.

I called them up over the phone, they answered right away, very nice not having to leave a message and wait for a return call. They explained how their service worked, what they would provide, what I would need to provide, and what to expect. A quote was given based on the information I gave them.

I have moved about six or seven times in my life. They came over and did a great job and didn't break anything. I have had some bad experiences in the past with movers but these guys were very professional.
