MERIDIAN PAINTING

Chris and Derek are an excellent team and a joy to have in the house. They were willing to work with the materials we wanted to use (oil-based paint on doors and trim). They were the only painters who offered, as part of their bid, to come back and touch up any trade damage at the end of our project. Pricing was in the middle of the three bids we received.

I got estimates from three painting companies. Chris was on time for his appointment, was very professional and personable, and gave me his estimate on the spot. I awarded him the contract and scheduled the work to begin the day after I closed on the house. We had time constraints because I needed to move into the house several days afterward. Chris promised to get the job done on time, and he did. I don't have a good eye for color and was a little overwhelmed w/ choices, but Chris took his time with me and explained his recommendations. He painted several color swatches and was very patient as I settled on a direction. I then basically put everything in his hands. He wasn't satisfied with the colors he initially recommended for the kitchen and bathroom and went back to the paint store over the weekend for a bunch more options (and the new colors were definitely better). Mid-job, after asking them to take down all the existing window hardware, patch and paint, I realized I would be left without any window coverings in the bedroom over a long weekend. I panicked a little, but Chris offered to reinstall the blinds for me, which was wonderful. I am extremely happy with the job - the house is small and old, without a straight edge in it as far as I can tell, and yet Chris and Derek managed to make the lines crisp and clean. They were a pleasure to work with and both have great senses of humor! I can't imagine a better contractor experience.

Chris was on time for the estimate, helped a lot with color selection, and came in with a very fair bid. He and his painting partner were just excellent...very nice young men who painted several color patches so I could "try out" colors I was unsure of, patient as I changed my mind once or twice, wonderful painters, neat, always on time, fast workers. I recommend them without any reservation...they did a GREAT job. At the project's end, Chris offered to come back if I found any place that needed touching up.

He did a wonderful job. So much so, that we've talked to him about coming out and painting our living room at the beginning of the year. He was courteous, calm, showed up on time, did a great clean up, and got back to us right on time. He did a great job, and was top notch! I would use him again in the future and would recommend him to others; in fact I already have. We were very pleased!

Very pleased with the work. He had to reschedule for about a half a week later than we originally planned but it was not that a big a deal. Got the job done promptly and professionally and we are quite happy with result. We did a few test patches a couple of days before. He used Sherwin Williams paint and color matched to some cards we got from the hardware store and the matching was pretty good in general and we were happy in the end but I would strongly recommend you go pick out the Sherwin Williams colors directly. Chris is easy going and has a mom and pop store feel compared to a larger, "slicker" company I got another quote from. This is why I went with him.

Job 1: Fabulous & nice guy. Hired Chris on a recommendation from another contractor. Estimate was spot on. Work was professional & clean. Crew of 2 cleaned up, was spotless. Work was done mnths ago & still I have yet to find any errors, drips, or splotches. Chris is also great at recommending colors. He has an artist's eye for color. Highly recommended .Job 2. I wanted to paint the nursery akin to a magazine clipping I had, but the level of artistry needed was beyond my skills. Chris was able to replicate the painting perfectly, matching the colors using low or no-VOC paint. He had the technical & artistic skills to make it work & make it gorgeous! He cleaned up so thoroughly that if I hadn't seen the paint on the walls I would have never know he had been there. Because of a miscommunication on my part, a window trim was left unpainted. Even though it was my fault, Chris happily came bk on his dayoff to finish up the trim for me. I d highly recommend him & intend on calling him again.

Chris Bevington did an excellent job. He gave me a fair and accurate estimate. He was always on time and polite. He and his painting partner did excellent work. The paint job looks amazing, especially the mill work and edging. He was always neat and tidy, and he left my apartment clean at the end of the work day. The best thing I can say about Chris is his knowledge of paint and colors. I picked some truly unflattering colors, and I was so upset when I saw how bad it looked. Chris took time at the end of the day and helped me pick new colors for the ceiling and an accent wall. The colors Chris suggested look fantastic, and quite honestly I would never have picked them on my own. The amount he charged for re-painting was minimal. Chris is easy going, but don't be fooled...he is a perfectionist...he didn't leave until every little detail was just right. I highly recommend Meridian Paint.
