MERIDIAN PAINTING

The job was done fantastically with high quality, very professional. Chris was punctual and professional. It was easy to work with him despite my busy schedule.

We have used Chris's services for years. We first met long ago when my husband hired him to paint his office. His talents were obvious from the beginning, not only did he very gently guide two picky men from what was a bad color, to something that blended beautifully with the office, he did it without hurting anyone's feelings. We have since used to him to: Repaint a dining room after a guest accidentally spilled a dish with a lot of oil on a wall. Paint the exterior of our very old home. Stain the exterior wood siding of our cabin. Repainted a bedroom that I did a poor job painting myself (thinking I'd save money). Select a color for a lovely, very small bathroom with no natural light, and low wattage light bulbs. Chris was brilliant (and patient) finding just the right color (this was the most recent job completed). Chris is not just a "painter", he is a color consultant, mural painter, and a fine art painter himself.

Chris gave me a really good rate if I completely emptied out the garage, which I did. He came as scheduled, and I came home to a perfectly painted garage, without a single trace of the painting process. There was hardly a drip of paint on the outside of the can. It was so worth it to avoid the mess of painting it myself, and the result would have been nothing like Chris's highly professional job

Chris is very professional and even though I changed my mind on paint colors at the last minute, he was patient and helped me reassess my color choices. He cleaned up each day and actually finished earlier than anticipated.

Chris always takes great care of us, providing high quality work, responsiveness, and very competitive rates. I trust him and leave my key with him and he just gets the work done efficiently and returned for some detail work later. Timeline was in line with 2 other quotes. Cost was less than 2 other quotes from bigger companies. He's great with my cats.

Chris has a passion for painting. He was prompt with his replies to emails and texts, provided a very clear estimate for the job and helped with the color choice. He even talked me out of painting the trim and offered 2-hr touch up plan instead, stating the trim is in very good shape and there was no need to spend all the money on painting it. Chris was affordable, professional and most importantly he did a fantastic job. The transition between the different rooms/colors and the lines separating the walls from the ceilings are absolutely flawless. My only recommendation is that you prep painting areas for Chris by filling up holes and sanding them flat before painting starts

Came out promptly when requested for an estimate. This was one of four estimates secured and Meridian's was in line with the others. . Chris suggested that the old carpeting be removed before painting (because of the scent) and this was done. Also advised that I should sleep elsewhere when the primer was applied and dried and the beasties and I found other accomodations. Chris and Derek started on the date promised and at the time promised. The job entailed washing the walls first before applying the primer and two coats of paint. The job was finished in less time than estimated. Finished in the evening and I had a knowledgeable friend come by and critique the work in daylight. Only has some very minor trim issues on the rims of the accent walls which Chris promply fixed them. Chris was very pleasent to work with and I'm happy to have engaged him.

Hire Chris! I interviewed several Angie's List recommendations for the job before I selected Chris. He was very tidy, cleaning up everyday before he left. The work was excellent. He was on time and a hard worker. His bid was spot on - no surprises! Best of all, Chris was EXTREMELY patient and helpful while I found the perfect colors for each area. He made a few extra runs to the paint store, and did many test patches so I could be comfortable with my choices. I am so happy with the results. Chris is a great guy, and I recommend him highly!

Chris did great. He came out within 2 days of being called to give me a quote, and started the same day I hired him. He did end up finishing a little bit late but came in on a Saturday to get the job done. Over all I'm very happy,the price was reasonable, and the job was done very well. I would hire again.

I found him off Angie's List and he has worked out very well. He was very reasonable. He came on time and was very responsive on the telephone. He put two coats of dark brown like chocolate color paint in the bedroom which looks beautiful. Actually he rescued us from a do it your self project gone bad. He put two coats in the bathroom as well with white trim. He did the trim in the bedroom as well. He did a great job. The painting was great. If you are looking for someone who is going to fix a few things like dashes or dents in the wall, I don't think he is a person to do a lot of prep work if you need a lot of prep work. He is a great painter but straight painter. Overall he did a great job. I am thinking of hiring again for my hallway.

Chris was professional and thoughtful in his suggestions. We agreed on a schedule, they were able to meet despite our changing minds on color for one room. They matched and bought paint, prepped, painted and cleaned. Work looks great.

The price was very reasonable. They were clean and they did a very nice painting job. They were easy to work with and he was very helpful when I was trying to decide what to do.

Chris was a pleasure to work with. We weren't quite ready with all of our color choices and he was very patient and had some great advice as far as colors and which walls to paint. He was very friendly and the painting looks great. He's a skilled painter too and was able to paint a perfectly straight line along a high-contrast corner edge. We would highly recommend him to others and plan to use him for future projects.

Chris and his crew did an outstanding job painting my home. They arrived promptly and on schedule, and all work was left tidy at the end of each work day. This was a fairly difficult job, as the house had extensive trim work (baseboards, cabinetry, built-ins, picture moldings, etc.) that had to be brushed. They also had to prime and paint some newly-plastered ceilings. The results--inside and outside the house--were excellent. The house sold quickly in a soft real-estate market, and I am satisfied that they quality paint job helped. Chris was also very responsive on some late additions to the job (I added a room to the original bid, and asked him to paint some carpentry work that I had just finished.) I highly recommend Chris for your interior and exterior painting needs!

Chris called me back promptly. He showed up on time. He was pleasant and brought paint swatches to check color selection. His bid was less than the company I ended up hiring. He could start right away. I would have been happy to work with him given the reviews on AL and my experience. Chris wrote his bid on the back of his card, and told me he would provide a more detailed bid if I chose to go with him. I think he would have been great. The reason I didn't was that the other company provided much more detail about the scope of the work, with a one page bid and detailed description of prep work. I felt clearer about what they would be doing.

Working with Chris was easy. We set up a time to look at the room(s) and he provided a quote and estimated start date on the spot. He started on the day he estimated and was finished on time and on budget. The trim was a little tricky--there were layers of both oil and latex paint on the trim. The room looks great--we're very happy with the work.

Chris was very prompt in responding to my initial call. He was able to come over and give me an estimate within a day. He said the job would be done in two days, and since I'd read another review that stated he'd done a similar job in two days, I had no doubts about it. Chris and crew arrived promptly at the job site, were very careful in their prep work, and the house looks great. And they finished on time! It was the easiest painting project I've ever been through. I highly recommend Meridian Painting.

The work that they did was good and they were very helpful. Overall the look was good and they were responsive on the front end but we ended up with a ton of overspray.

They were good painters. They did they work well. They cleaned up well too. I think they should give either an Angie's List or a senior discount equaling 10%.

I got three quotes and Meridian painting was by far the cheapest. They also stated they could complete the work in 2 days, instead of the 4 days listed in another quote. This did worry me slightly but the reviews on Angie's List were positive so I decided to go with them. We agreed to a start date of June 29th. Chris and his two workers arrived punctually at 8:30 a.m. and began the work. They finished up for the day at 4p.m. The next day they arrived at 8:30 and completed the entire job at 2 p.m. Chris did a walkthrough with me and I was happy with the work. It all looked good. The next day as I was moving stuff back into place I did find the odd paint splotch or two on my hardwood floors and countertops but they were small, pinprick sized splotches, not very noticeable and they could be removed with a light scraping. All in all it was a very good experience. Chris and his workers were very polite and considerate - they did not play music while they worked even though I would not have objected. Also they took their lunch-time food wrappers home with them and did not dispose of them in my garbage.

Chris responded to my request for a bid. After looking at the job, he immediately gave me a bid. We scheduled the job and they arrived right on time. The job took two days and they accommodated my schedule by arriving early on the second day. They finished the ceiling and walls the first day and painted the trim on the second day. They did a great job and the room is beautiful. They were also really nice guys, friendly and helpful, and they obviously enjoyed their work. I would definitely hire them again!

We couldn't be happier. Meridian Painting is a joy to work with, to have in our home, and to learn from. Chris was clear and easy to communicate with, and he was very patient with us when we asked to change the color on walls that we had selected. He gave us fantastic advice about glosses, paint quality and color properties, etc. Our trim had been a plastic-like gloss; he recommended taking down the gloss a notch, and we are astonished at the improvement in the crispness and perceived quality in the trim details. Everything looks beautiful, we had a great time having them in the house, and we will recommend Meridian to anyone who might be looking for painting work in their home.

Chris arrived promptly to give us a bid on the job. He was very personable and wrote up the bid on the spot. The job was scheduled to take one week.Once they started the job Chris and Derek were very thorough spending more than a day sanding and chalking. I requested that they used Behr paint on the walls since I wanted them to match the downstairs hallway. This turned out to be more complicated than we had imagined since Home Depot had just changed their computers for making up paint and could not match the paint that week. Chris and Derek stuck with it and weren't satisfied until they had managed to optain a really good match. Although they lost over half a day in the process they did not complain. We were very satisfied with the work they did. They were extremely easy to work with and we plan to use Meridian painting again in the near future.

Chris Bevington came out within a day of our initial call to give us a bid on the interior painting of our home in preparation for selling. The work included painting a formal living and dining room, a kitchen, a family room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two halls, a split stairwell/entry way, and five closets on the main floor. Two of the rooms had 14 vaulted ceilings. Also included were a large recreation room, a laundry room/bath and a den, as well as a pantry and four closets in the basement. Chris was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised us on color selection and paint finishes. He gave us a bid at the end of our meeting. We accepted the bid and work began approximately one week later. Chris worked with us as we tried out various colors to see which would work best. Chris and Derek were very dependable. They arrived when they promised and worked in a very efficient and professional manner. They were both very personable and easy to have around. Their work was excellent, and they worked especially hard to accommodate our emptying of rooms in advance of their painting schedule. They were very neat painters who left everything clean and tidy at the end of each working day. All painting was completed to our satisfaction within the one week targeted time frame. We would definitely recommend Meridian Painting and would hire them again.

Great overall. Some minor detail issues we found only later, and I think Chris would have corrected those had we seen them sooner and contacted him on them.
