I'm very impressed with the work that was performed by King County Sewer Drain & Plumbing. My only regret at the moment is that I forgot to get the installer's name so I could publicly give him kudos. I had an appointment scheduled for between 10am - 12pm. The installer showed up at 11am to get to work. However, I was having a bit of a time issue that was causing me some concern. My father lives in Europe and had recently come back to the States to get some work done on his house here. I had not been able to see him on this trip, nor had I seen him in the last 8 months. My dad and I were scheduled to have lunch at noon that day, before he went to the airport to fly back to Europe for another 6 months. I explained the situation to the installer and he basically said 'well then we need to get you out of here quick'. He looked at the leaky spigot and then asked if it had a shut-off valve. I pointed him to what I thought was the shut-off valve in the garage, but it turned out that's the main to my house. The main valve is nice but I want to have individual valves for all of my faucets, so I asked him if he could install a shut-off valve in-line with the new spigot. He explained that he would have to cut into the dry wall in my entry way to get access to the pipe and to install the in-line shut-off valve and that he'd put an access panel to cover the hole. He quickly wrote up a work order, gave me a cost, we agreed to it, and he got to work. The speed and efficiency with which he did the job was amazing, as was the final quality. I was ultimately able to get lunch with my father before he left the country as the result of the quick, but quality, work performed by KCSD&P. I will be calling them back out this summer to have the same work performed on the backyard spigot.

My experience with King County Sewer Drain & Plumbing was very good. They guy that did the work was very nice and very competent. He completed the inspection of the plumbing for us and we want to remodel the bathroom and he recommended a contractor to us.

They were looking into replacing the faucet. After finding out where the piping was coming from within the house, they explained in detail why the work would not be able to be completed. They explained the piping that would need to be replaced and the walls that would need to be cut into and we decided to pass.

I was pleased with the service I received from Michael. When he did work for me last time he was prompt, courteous & professional and that was a much smaller job than he did this time, however, he was again, prompt courteous & professional. Going forward I will call him first for all of my plumbing needs. He is clearly interested in doing good, honest work without overcharging and price gouging. Michael was under time restraints because of my tenants availability and he did a great job of being available and working quickly, getting the work done for me without causing a disruption for my tenants. I am satisfied with another job well done.

From start to finish this was one of the most pleasant interactions I've ever had with a plumbing company. Mike, the technician arrived promptly, which was a major plus because I was already on edge from getting a $4000 estimate form the first company and still not having any working toilets in my house. Once Mike got there he wasted no time, checking things out, I showed him all of the toilets and was bracing myself for the worse when he excused himself to get some equipment from his truck and came right back with the big machine, he explained that the machine would "snake the line" and get my toilets back to flushing. After about 45 minutes or so of snaking, he located the problem--a ball of roots! He took the time to let me know that the issue was something called "root intrusion" and that the only way to completely eliminate the problem was to replace the section of the sewer where the roots were coming in at. As I waited for me to drop the bomb about the costs of a big replacement, I was pleasantly surprised when he suggested an annual snaking as a cost effective way to manage the problem until I was ready to undertake a huge replacement service. Mike was courteous and professional the whole time that he was on my property. I really appreciated him for not trying to price gouge me or scare me into paying him for a service that wasn't immediately necessary to get my toilets working again. I will only call him in the future for any service needs that I have and I am actively recommending King County Sewer Drain and Plumbing to everyone I know that may need Mike's professionalism, reliability and most importantly, fair pricing.
