The service went very well despite a major error on my part. I thought I had an exterior clean out, but the morning of my appointment I looked at it and discovered it was for my water line and not the sewer. So, when they arrived to do the sewer line clean out I had a bad surprise for them. We looked around the house, but no exterior port could be found. They were able to remove the toilet and go through that way, which was a small additional fee that I've included in my above total. This fee was discussed prior to the service performed so I had the option to accept or decline. Luckily the sewer line looked pretty good. If I were in their shoes, I would have been rolling my eyes at this lady who didn't know the water from the sewer, but they were very nice about it. Also patient as I scooped up my cats and dogs to get them out of the way before the indoor part of the project. The work was performed very quickly and they kept my bathroom very clean, which isn't easy to do when you are messing about with a toilet.

My faucet in the front was dripping bad when it was turned on. Mike and I got in a mix up on what day he was coming. I wasn't home when he came but he looked at my faucet and fixed it. What a great day that was. He didn't have to come back and I got what I wanted.

Other plumbers, three companies in total, wouldn't even call me back for this job because it was "too small" a job to be worth their time. Mike called me back the same day and even came out later that afternoon to check out my situation. He showed up on time for both the (free) estimate and for the job itself. My job was pretty straightforward: replace galvanized pipe from the city meter to my property with PEX plasic line. They did this by punching out a line in my concrete driveway and digging a new trench for the PEX line. Mike and his son did all the work themselves and did a good job. At the end of the day, I'd recommend these guys over the "big" plumbing outfits out there because it's really easy to tell that Mike's a good guy and he runs an honest small business that doesn't take advantage of people when they're in distress with a plumbing problem. Some of these other places want $125 JUST to come out to your house and then $X every 15 minutes they're out there...just ridiculous. I'm not positive I got the lowest price on my job or not, but I'm happy knowing that my money is going to a good person who runs an honest business. I'd definitely hire Mike again for a future job.

He started with a simple solution rather than tearing apart the system. He took the time to teach us how to prevent a future problem. Cheerful, competent and helpful. Purchasing the $180 voucher saved us about $55.00.

He came in an unmarked vehicle that didn't indicate the company. He didn’t put protection on his feet when he came in. He didn’t have any container to catch the water or towels and rags to clean up following the work. He didn’t want to use parts that were currently there. He said he had another job in the neighborhood and he left for a few hours. When he came back, he had additional parts and he used/installed them and charged me an additional $104.02. For this drain cleaning special I had to provide a bucket, rags for clean up, and there was a rusty area left in the bathroom. Ultimately, he ended up taking the original parts without telling me. Now it appears I have a second drain that is not properly functioning, and I suspect it has been caused by this service.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it worked out fine. They did a straightforward job, and there were no complications to it. It didn't cost us any more than the big deal. The price was good.

I would advise you to shop around, because there were some mistakes by the first guy who came around, and it was expensive.

Did a good job while working in the rain. No great problems.

Plumber showed up on time and replaced the internal parts of a bathroom toilet to stop a slow leak. Everything was fine, although the clean up was about 90% instead of 100%, but not bad. Purchased on an Angie's List deal. Make sure you understand if there is a basic charge for the service call.

Very nice guy. Very prompt. Service cost more than expected, but that is because the garbage disposal needed to be switched out.

It went horribly. The plumber came to change out the hose thing but didn't have the materials he needed to do it. Because we had another problem I asked him to diagnose and fix it. He thought it may have been the valve to the toilet so I asked him to replace the entire toilet (because it was old) while he was at it. He did finally replace the hose thing outside and the toilet but that was after two visits and HOURS spent waiting for him to go to the plumbers supply and to pick up a toilet from Costco (Costco is only 5 minutes away). The grinding noise I asked him to diagnose was not fixed but he said he would research what it could be and call me the next day. He never called.

After paying for the outdoor faucet big deal, the plumbing company called to set up a time to do the service. They mentioned that I did not need to be around. A month later, no service.We will try another company that is more responsive.

Went well, the provider was friendly and professional, told me up front that additional charges would apply because of what had to be done. Did what he said he would do, quality seems fine. The final price was a bit higher than I'd have hoped, but not unreasonable.

The company contacted me and we set a date for service. (I can't remember the exact date because, I deleted it from my calendar.) When the serviceman arrived he said I had an insulated faucet and he could not make the change without getting into the garage and doing extensive plumbing work. It would add more to my cost. I declined the service and asked how to get a refund. He recommended I contact Angie's List.

UPDATE 3/15/14: We are having our house repainted, and had it power washed this morning. When we went downstairs, we were shocked to see that the bedroom, hallway and bathroom were covered in water. Upon further investigation, we found that the faucet this company "fixed" leaked all over inside the walls and flooded those rooms. We have had to have carpet and linoleum removed, and have no idea how much this ordeal will cost. I have updated our rating to "F". If you choose to use this company, ask them to be VERY clear about exactly what will be done and how much it will cost. Their work is fine, but the way they charge did not seem fair. We purchased a $99 Big Deal to replace an outdoor faucet. We had had the faucet replaced less than 2 years ago for under $300. It sprayed water so we figured this was a good opportunity to get it replaced. My husband asked for a frost free faucet and a shut off valve, which he understood would cost extra. The work was completed as requested. When he was finished, the plumber told my husband: here is the cost ($399), and we have deducted the $99 you paid Angie's List. Because this was about $100 more than we paid a few years ago, we assumed that we didn't get any advantage from the "Big Deal", or the $100 off ANY plumbing service they offered on their Angie's List profile. I emailed to ask about a discount, and was told that we received a value of over $964 and there would be no discount. When I mentioned that the "demo" (hole in drywall) they charged us $49 for had already been done, they said the wall had to be opened up further and although it only took a couple of minutes, "the speed of completion is a reflection of the experience and expertise with which the demo work was completed. " (actual quote from email) I will concede that they are very responsive - if only to justify over and over again why their price was reasonable and I got such a great deal. Another quote: "If I am understanding it correctly; $250.92 should be the price paid for $964.70 worth of work and services?" I gave up trying to correspond with them (she did call our house and leave a message as well) because it was clear she just needed to make her point. If their normal prices would have this job cost $964.70, I can't believe they have any customers at all. In the end, this felt more like a bait and switch than a Big Deal. In addition, they charged a 3% fee for us to use our credit card. One item I failed to mention - after the plumber left, my son went into the closet where the work was done and water was spraying all over the place. He called them and the plumber came back to re-solder that afternoon.

The plumber was very professional and explained the issue. he wore shoe covers which I thought was a nice touch. We had a deal that was 119 for 200.00 worth of service. We never found out how much time was allowed for 200.00. At the end of the call, we were presented with a "service call" bill. That was not revealed in the "deal". The plumber had to leave and come back with a tool that was needed. We estimate that he was here working no more than an hour.

I purchased the $99 coupon for the replacement of an outdoor faucet. As the coupon states, a frost-free faucet is extra and does require extra work as well which is why there was an additional cost of $181. Mike G. arrived 25 minutes late but got busy on the job right away. He was done by 12:45 and we have had no problems with the faucet.

I was a little surprised that the angie's list deal we purchased ($200 of plumbing services for $119) did not cover the cost of the faucet switch (especially as switching out a faucet was specifically listed as an example on the coupon). But it was only $40 additional on top of the voucher, and he was there and we'd already spent the money on the voucher, so we went for it. The plumber did a nice job. The new faucet works well. I also asked him to take a look at our bathroom sink--he did and spent some time taking it apart and checking to make sure there was putty, recaulking it. He was going to charge us a small additional amount for this. But he could not stop the leak there, and he didn't charge us for that. I appreciated him taking the extra time and not charging us, as he said it was a busy day and he had 3 additional homes to get to after ours.

I was on the schedule for a 9am to 11am appointment and took the day off work. I received a call at 11:05 am saying that they had the wrong address: they were at NW versus West. (I went back to check the address I had given and West was actually spelled out). I had another appointment and couldn't wait for them to get to my home. Also, I asked about a frost free faucet since, following the purchase I received 2 communications saying the offer didn't honor frost free faucets. I asked what the cost would be to do frost free and the service person didn't know the answer. My confidence level went way down and I told him I would like to cancel the appointment and the order at that point.

This was a big misunderstanding all the way around. I bought the service because both of my outdoor faucets were leaking and I had asked the condo association to fix them but they still leaked. The provider technician arrived the morning of Sept. 9 and told me there would be an extra charge because it was a frost free faucet. I was not going to replace one that was frost free for one that wasn't. Also, I was of the assumption, wrongly so, that he was going to replace both of the faucets. I had to go back and reread the contract to determine that it meant only one. The technician was apologetic but then I asked him if he could just fix the leak instead, and he didn't have anything with him to do that, so I just told him to forget it. I would like to get my money back as nothing was done, but it was partly my fault since hadn't read or understood the terms correctly. So I just told him to go and forget it. I will chalk it up to a bad experience.
