Update: Carlos contacted me and came out to the property and reseeded the problem areas. He adjusted sprinkler heads again to ensure that the new seed gets sufficient water. He also left the remaining bag of seed for any future needs. I have adjusted my rating of JS Landscape and Excavation as they did stand behind their work. I wanted to be able to give Carlos a good review, as everything started out so great. He was quick to reply, quick to come over and give a bid and started the job on time. He was very communicative...until he was not. We had Carlos and team excavate our existing yard, bring in soil/sand, and hydroseed. A few sprinkler heads were broken in the process, but Carlos and team fixed them and came back out to reposition them. Here is where it goes bad: we were the last hyroseed of the day. Carlos ensured us that this was a good thing because we would get extra seed. Not the case. I think being the last of the day meant that the seed was spotty at best. We have many areas where there is no grass growing, and it has been well over a month since the hyrdroseed. I have contacted Carlos by phone, email and many texts, including photos of the areas. Originally he said he would be back out but the date came and went and there was no communication. Now, I am left with a yard that is not worth the price I paid. Apparently JS Landscape and Excavation does not stand behind their service or product. I have attached photos so you can be the judge. Perhaps if you are having sod put down, use JS Landscaping, but if you are doing hydroseed, buyer beware! The other companies I received bids from guaranteed the hydroseed. I assumed JS did too. I guess I am the fool for assuming. A lot of money for essentially a cr***** result.

Carlos was prompt with his bid and emailed it to me within 1 business day. The project started and completed quickly. There were a few small issues that I noticed a few weeks later and he came out quickly to resolve. I would hire again.

These guys showed up right on time, as promised, and worked hard to do a job well done. I have retained them to do my next project also. Carlos is easy to work with and very professional.

JS Landscape did the best work of any landscape firm we have ever hired. They were expert in every phase of the project,including plumbing electrical and irrigation system installation. They kept us apprised of every phase of the work and brought to our attention every issue discovered. The work was completed as promised within 2 days at the original price quoted. I have hired JS to do additional landscaping work on my property and have referred them to my neighbor and anyone else who will be in need of their services.

Carlos and his team went above and beyond my expectations. The pricing was very reasonable and the work was completed ahead of schedule. They were very considerate of my budget and made sure that everything turned out the way I wanted it to. Will definitely use them again in the future and highly recommend them!

Everything turned out great, Carlos is a true professional and was a pleasure to do business with. I will use them again if I choose to expand the watering system in the future. We had the company out again to add a new zone, they were able to meet our needs again, and again we are very happy with the cost and the work they did for us.

When I am looking to hire a contractor, I summon up a healthy sense of skepticism and then listen as s/he explains what the job will involve (and later sends me an estimate). That skepticism decreased as Carlos explained the layout of the multi-zoned sprinkler system I would need. The skepticism vanished completely with the finished job. It was even better than I thought it would be. Throughout, Carlos was a pleasure to deal with and he made sure I was happy with every aspect of the job. The rating scale ranges from 0-5, but I give him a 6 anyway.

Had a sprinkler emergency. They arrived on time, got the job done at a reasonable price, replacing an old system and also tuned and replaced several sprinkler heads. Very pleased with their work.

Update on Dec 2021--The lawn is a complete disaster!! Attempts earlier this year to reach the business for restoring/reviving the lawn went unanswered. The initial installation of sod was in 2019. In spring of the following year, it looked in need of care but Covid hit and I fed and cared as I could. Tried to aerate but the plastic webbing under the sod is impenetrable. By summer patches of the netting had risen to the top and soil quality was like clay. Weeds and mushrooms popped up throughout. Now I feel it was a smoke-and-mirror job. No longer recommend. Work performed was the sod installation of the yard and parking strip (a bit less than 1000 square feet). Carlos responded quickly to the request for an estimate, arrived as scheduled, and presented an estimate within two days. He explained the process clearly. Very professional and experienced. Work was scheduled within one week and completed in less than two days (the second day was primarily clean up). First mowing has already been done and sod is established very nicely. Very satisfied with the job. Looking forward to enjoying the lawn next spring.

Carlos came to the job as promised with three of his helpers. He did excellent job, took away old dirt, placed new soil, and sod. He also replaced old sprinklers with new one and connected with an automatic timer. Carlos is very friendly, professional and honest. We highly recommend him for landscape job.
