Jet City Blinds

No real issues that we could determine...only that we are taking our time in order to complete the remainder of our home. The installer was great! He was a wealth of knowledge and gave us plenty of ideas surrounding the window treatment(s) we have thus far. We called, spoke, arranged a sample viewing, reviewed the samples & options with Rich, placed the order, a short time later, once our schedules allowed, the installer arrived and steadily completed installation...and then smiles! Thank you Rich & Jet City! We'll be seeing you again!

I checked into another source for blinds and the cost was running high enough that we were only going to be able to outfit 75% of the windows on our budget. Many of them are odd sizes so they would have to be custom made rather than off the shelf. Brian measured them all in a jiffy and showed us samples of what we could do, what would best, most durable and the mutlitude of colors to choose from were stellar. We had a few windows that were interior and we wanted to do something semi private but not full cover blinds--he recommended mesh roller shades and they are perfect for what we need and match the existing decor. Once we were done with all the exciting options and made decisions--his pricing was so great we were able to do all the windows. The blinds were ready in 2 weeks although we were expecting them in another week or so and the installer came out right away. He was great too--they were up in flash and showed us the features of the blinds before he left. It was such a perfect experience that I was willing to share with all. Go with Jet City Blinds folks--they are the bomb!

.Brian was easy to deal with, arrived promptly, asked a lot of questions, getting me to narrow down to what I wanted. He really LISTENED to what I said. He measured everything and told me the price. I had had another company out. Brian's price was lower than the other company's. The product as far as I can tell is the same or better. The installer came was friendly, professional and efficient.

The entire experience from the first phone call to the installation was stellar. They accomodated my schedule. Brian was prepared, professional and had great ideas. I didn't hesitate to purchase from him. We were on a strict time frame and Jet City Blinds exceeded our expectations! Roger, the installer was quick and efficient, but took the time to make sure we were happy with everything....and we are!

I was very pleased with the level of service I received over the phone and during out in home consultation. I called to schedule an appointment and Melissa was able to come out the very next day. I was originally thinking we would only purchase for a couple of windows (in the front of our home), but ended up doing more. I wasn't sure what product we were looking for, but thanks to Melissa, we found something we love! Melissa was so friendly, and very professional. I didn't feel the need to get another bid, because I knew I wouldn't find anyone better to work with. I look forward to working with Jet City in the future and plan on referring them to everyone!

I placed the order and made a deposit. I last heard from them on the 11th of July which they told me the order would be shipped on the 15th. I reached out to them on the 15th by email and received no response. I called all of their numbers and couldn't get through. I sent another email which was bounced back. Initially it was a good experience until I was unable to reach them.

showed up on time, had all materials needed. thought we couldn't get until the following week but actually got the blinds 2 days ahead of schedule, showed on on a Friday afternoon, (again ahead of schedule), professionally installed. Nice job!!!

Tristan arrived on time, discussed with me what I wanted; he had pattern books, and colors, and styles. He measured all the windows, in every direction, and gave me an estimate. Later I called to tell him we would like Major Blinds to order and install the blinds I had chosen. Tristan came once again, and confirmed color, style, etc. and explained all the charges, and the services that go along with ordering from Major Blinds. The installer made an appointment when the blinds were in, and arrived at our home on time. Both he and Tristan were very knowledgeable and professional. The blinds were installed, and the installer demonstrated the ultra glide device we chose for opening and closing the blinds. The entire process was easy and pleasant. We got a good price on the product we chose. This is a small company, in business for about 7 years, and it has an excellent reputation. There are no large showrooms (no showrooms at all!) so overhead costs are low.

Working with Major Blinds was a wonderful experience! I needed window treatments to replace the sad looking, "temporary", big box store blinds I'd bought and installed myself when I bought the house. My home had been burglarized and I wanted replacement treatments that provided better visibility and security so that I could leave the house without worrying. And just to make it a little trickier, I was leaving for a trip in less that two weeks. I called Major Blinds just to see if there was any hope and they came right to my rescue. Tristan was professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. I was clueless and, after the break-in, a little freaked out about having a stranger in my home. Tristan listened to all my needs and worries and made me feel completely at ease and secure. He put in extra effort to make me feel comfortable and managed the short timeline flawlessly. The installation happened so quickly and quietly that I barely noticed. I swear that Tristan's quality standards were higher than my own, which is hard to do since I am pretty picky. My high expectations were met and exceeded. Thanks you Tristan and Major Blinds for making it so that I could relax on vacation!

The quote was right with in our project. I thought it was going to cost more for what I wanted but Tristan gave me choices and options to stay within budget. I had some samples of the products I wanted and Major Blinds just happen to carry the same line. That is another reason why I am choosing them. -- updated one year after installation-- Tristan was a joy to work with. Not only he helped my stay in budget and given me all I wanted and more, he did a great job installing the blinds. It's been over a year now since the blinds were installed. All of them are still in great shape.

Met with Brian who came to my house and graciously listened to what kind of window treatments I wanted. He offered his own suggestions, but when I told him I didn't like them he immediately switched tack and helped me decide. He measured the windows, I paid a deposit; was told of the scheduling; and as promised the window treatment (cellular shades for living room windows) were smoothly and very quickly installed 3 weeks later by another professional fellow. Very happy with the result and would hire again.

The estimate/order/purchase/installation went very smoothly. Everything was on-time and the final product was just what I wanted. I will use Major Blinds again and will recommend them to friends.

The representative, Tristan was very patient and knowledgeable. The blinds came in early and were installed right away- and they look great!

The saleswoman was pleasant and some what punctual but the shutters would take 6-8 weeks from China unless I paid for rush then It would take 10-14 days. It has taken so far 5 weeks which leaves me to believe its a scam to get hundreds more from you for nothing.

I initially was interested in getting wood blinds. Shannon, the sales person, recommended the Hunter Douglas style blinds, and we love them. They are super energy efficient. Our house is cozier now. Roger, the installer, did a wonderful job. He was personable and extremely fast. I'm waiting for another quote to possibly add motorization to some of these blinds now. I didn't think of how convenient this would be during the initial service.

Very well. When I called to set-up an appointment. I explained that we wanted white faux wood type blinds to go with out existing trim and interior paint. Brian came out few days later and brought a couple samples of the faux white wood blinds, and didn't try yo sell us anything more. He did the neasurements, gave us a price that we agreed to, and the blinds were installed less than 3 weeks later. We're very happy with the blinds and the excellent service from Major Blinds.

My overall experience with Major Blinds is through Brian. He provided ideas and samples for the solarium windows and doors. He recommended specific materials for the blinds for the sitting room off of the kitchen. He will have installation within three or four weeks. I can hardly wait!

My wife and I made the mistake of informing him that a sales rep from Three Day Blinds was coming out the following day. The sales rep left giving us a $100 coupon and his business card. He would forward us an estimate on my e-mail. Brian waited until the day after Three Day Blinds was scheduled to come and then called. He asked my wife if we had made a decision. She informed him we have not decided since we had not received an estimate from him. The sales rep then asked my wife, “What was the price quoted by 3 days blinds?” This turned us against major blinds.

A friend had given me Brian's business card. When I called him, we easily set up an appointment. He arrived promptly with a large number of samples as I was not sure what I wanted. He presented me with a number of options. I had thought I had wanted to put in a black out shade on a bedroom window. He suggested that I might not need it.. Once we decided, on the type of product, Brian measured each window and gave me an estimate. I had to unexpectedly cut our meeting short, so I asked him to email me the actual cost The next morning Brian's email was waiting . He had included the cost for two additional windows which I was not sure that I wanted to install quite yet. After reviewing the cost, I went ahead and made the order including the two additional windows. I was told at the time of the order that it would take 6-7 weeks. I was surprised at the middle of week 5 to receive a call from Brian saying the order was in. We arranged for the installer to come. The installer was prompt and efficient. Brian's services exceeded my expectations. He was both very professional in his services, and knowledgeable about his product lines. His suggestion of not needing a black out shade was spot on. I have recommended both Brian and Major Blinds to friends.

The salesperson met me at the house and gave me an estimate. I agreed to go ahead with the project and gave him a deposit. I was told it would take six weeks for the shutters to arrive in Seattle and that they would contact me at that time to setup an installation appt. Six weeks came and went and I received no call. I was getting nervous because we were getting ready to move in and I was concerned that we would move in without any coverings on our windows. I finally called them, which set a pattern for the rest of my dealings with them. They would set expectations, fail to meet expectations, then fail to call me to tell me what had happened and the new plan. Eventually the shutters arrived, which I learned by contacting them (they didn't contact me). I eventually got an appointment to get the shutters installed. I talked to the installer about which way the shutters would open for each window. I explained that it was difficult to know for certain in every case, because a lot depended on the furniture, which we hadn't moved in yet. However, he assured me that the shutters could be reversed if we found any problems. I have to say that the shutters look very nice. My biggest beef is with how the company failed to stick to their schedule and failed to keep me up to date on what was happening. I constantly had to be chasing them down. In addition to the shutters, we had ordered a wooden shade to be installed in the kitchen window. Unfortunately, the installer did not have the shade available when the shutters were installed. He told me that they would call me later to setup an appointment to install the shade. Once again, time went by and they didn't contact me. As usual, I finally called them to find out when they would complete the project. It also turned out that one of the shutters needed to be reversed due to the placement of a dresser in one of the bedrooms. I was told that they would send someone to install the shade and reverse the direction on the shutter. I came home from work on the day of the appt. and found the shade was installed (check) but they hadn't fixed the shutter (huh?) I contacted the company the next day and was stunned when they said they could do it but they would charge me for it. I told them what the installer had told me. Predictably and true to form, I never heard from them again. To top it off, they charged my credit card for the balance of the charge without verifying that I was satisfied. Bottom line: Inaccurate scheduling Fail to keep promises Unresponsive Don't communicate status Unconcerned about customer satisfaction Decent materials and workmanship ***** UPDATE ****** Major Blinds contacted me after this review was published. We had a long talk about my experience and they agreed to reverse the shutter without charging me. In addition, they acknowledged my frustration about not being updated on status when scheduled actions do not occur on time and agreed to make changes to correct this problem. I give Major Blinds a lot of credit for contacting me and trying to make improvements in response to customer feedback. I think this shows a lot of character, as well as a commitment to customer satisfaction. In acknowledgement of their corrective actions, I've raised my review score and also changed the review to read "yes" in response to "would you use this company again".

Brian responded quickly to my inquiry and came out right away to measure all the windows and show me products to help me select something. He was very enthusiastic and friendly. He directed me toward a product he uses in his own home and I must say I like the quality (Graber.) He gave me an emailed estimate a few days later although I had to ask him to itemize it later, which he did without complaint. This consultation was free. He gave me discounts to get my business. We hired them and they ordered the blinds. They arrived about 2 weeks later and someone else came to install them. Unfortunately the manufacturer built a couple of the blinds incorrectly and he had to take them back and bring them another day. No problems. He came back about a week later and the blinds are all in without any problems. Everything is as we ordered them. I am very pleased.

Overall, it was a great experience! Our new blinds look good and work well.

It was great. They were very helpful. There were very personalable as well. I can't say enough about.how helpful they were.

This is a follow-up on an earlier excellent review of Major Blinds. I purchased all of my window treatments from Major Blinds within the last year and a half. A "handle" on one of the blinds broke not because of installation but because of the manufacturer. I called Major Blinds to see if I could buy a new "handle" and asked for two since I felt the problem was that the size of the window treatment required two. Major Blinds didn't charge me and within four days I had the two requested handles. No questions were asked, just a great attitude of -- there's a problem, then let's help fix it. This may seem minor, but there aren't that many businesses that extend this sort of courtesy these days. Great customer service and a company I'll be doing business with in the coming years.
