Description of Work: Brian from Jet City is fabulous! From the first phone call and all the way through to checking in after installation he was the utmost professional with great ideas. Most talented when it comes to dressing windows! I can't wait to move so he can decorate our windows at our new house!!

Description of Work: Jet City installed blinds for five windows. They had a wonderful selection and brought the style books to your home to choose from. The installation was very professional. There was a mistake in the order and it was fixed right away. I'd use Jet City again for any future blind needs in my home.

Description of Work: I originally came to them from a costco in store promotion. I found that I only needed one large blind costing approximately $380. I however did not qualify for the costco rebate card as I was not spending enough money. I found a coupon on Angie's list for a $100 gift card for setting up an in home consultation. The sales person said she didn't know anything about it and that she would call me back. Two days later I received a call from the home office telling me I did not qualify for the $100 gift card because I came to them through Costco. It is unlikely i will stop at ant I store promotions Costco offers as it appears they don't vet their vendors very well. Very disappointed with the response time and service from Jet City Blinds!!

Description of Work: Jet City put in shades for us. The shades look nice and work well. When the installer came to put them up there were a couple problems with them, one had to be sent back and size adjusted. One arrived slightly bent but he made it work and fit fine. He was very knowledgeable about shades, he adjusted all the chain lengths and explanined everything. I had gotten bids from three companies on Angie's list and chose Jet City based on price (middle of the three), their knowledge and ideas about our difficult to fit French doors.

Description of Work: I decided to finish off a bedroom, kitchen, and a door window with natural wood blinds to match those in the rest of the house for few years ago...I called and rec'd a quick response. Brian came to the house and brought samples and measured. He was not rushed and was very courteous and helpful. In only few days the blinds arrived and an installer called to make appt. He was right on time as well and did a great job. He was courteous and even took the time to help with a little problem I had on one of the old blinds...no charge... I really appreciated the service, the quality, and the reasonable price. Brian called after the install and made sure it was done to my satisfaction. He even called several months later to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend this company...

Description of Work: Brian came out to do an estimate and help me select honeycomb window shades for my whole house. He appeared to be very helpful but he didn't show me what I initially asked to see, saying he had a better solution; however I was never totally sold on his solution in spite of repeatedly questioning him about it; his answers were not satisfying and I realized after he left I felt pushed into something I didn't like as much as what I had in mind when I called him. He also had an overwhelming number of samples. More importantly, when I asked if double-celled shades came in any size but 3/8" he said "not from any vendor", but the Hunter Douglas website and other vendors clearly state this answer to be false. I requested a proposal with costs by window, but Brian only agreed to provide it by room. I believe the more detail there is in a contract the less chance there is for miscommunication and misunderstanding, but he did not want to fulfill my request. With 35 windows and skylights, I felt this was important. Later, when I restated my request after having received the initial proposal, and I indicated what information I wanted included, he redid the proposal by window but did not include the crucial information I had requested, like the make/model of shade for each window (because we had selected a mix of Graber and Hunter Douglas). The revised proposal was no more useful than the initial one as far as I was concerned. We ran overtime during our meeting and Brian knew I was running late to leave for an appointment, yet I had to wait for him to put all his samples back in his books before he would leave, delaying me even more. Additionally, more than once Brian tried to guilt me into giving him the business by stating he had spent so much time with me that he should get my business. Even after I informed him via email that I had decided to go with another vendor he phoned me, and after determining there was nothing he could do to get my business, he tried to guilt me into giving it to him anyway and then hung up on me. Overall, very unprofessional and I do not recommend.

Description of Work: After calling to make an appointment a consultant came out a few days later (July 15.) Shannon was very professional, listened, and helped me pick out a blind for the bathroom and two for a bedroom (one blind was for a French door.) I confessed that I was in a "time-crunch" as family was arriving on Aug. 4 and hoped the blinds would be installed by then. She put in a rush-order and, sure enough, the installers arrived Aug. 3!

Description of Work: They came out quickly, gave me the estimate, and I bought that day. But the rest of the experience was the worst. The right parts did not come and no one checked that prior to making the install appt. They sent for the parts. Major Blinds NEVER called me on this I had to call them and they wouldn't return my calls. I spoke with the installer to get the info. The installer (a different company) called to make the 2nd appt. I took off work to be at home and on the day of the install while I was gone in the morning, they left a message to tell me that the parts did not come...why they made the appt. to install without this notice I do not know. I again tried to get the information from Major Blinds and again Bonnie referred me to the installer and took NO ACCOUNTABILITY for me leaving work two days now and STILL no blinds. The installer called again for the 3rd install appt. and I set it up for a day I had surgery on my back so that I knew I would be home and finally they were done. Major Blinds never stepped to the plate on this at all and I felt sorry for the installer being caught in the middle. I will not use them or refer them to anyone again.
