Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's list special for 6 hours of landscape services for 199.00. They were terrific. We mainly wanted them to cut off two tall clumps of Arbor Vitae trees. They did that and more.

Description of Work: I had 3 primary goals with this company. #1 - prune my 30' pear tree, #2 - Remove all the black plastic from the side yard that had been placed for weed control by the previous owner and was now grown over, #3 - clean out the weeds on the south side of the house. They did a great job cleaning out the weeds and getting the black plastic up. I was not particularly pleased with the pruning. However, it does take an artistic eye to prune a tree well. I was also surprised to see one of the gentleman on the first day (4 hour shift) taking a break and sitting on the back of the truck.

Description of Work: My front yard was sorely in need of pruning trees, bushes, it is mostly deck, so there was not a lot to do. I had purchased 6 hours, they sent two people. I got the feeling that they were resentful b/c it was a special deal. They told me things I needed to have done, as they were leaving. One was a very small thing (cutting some tape off a tree that had been planted with tape around it and was strangling). I noted that, instead of doing this simple task, they TOLD me it NEEDED to be done (presumably, I had not purchased enough of their time for them to do it). The two bushes I was most concerned about, we discussed that they would prune them or cut them, but they did not (oops! out of time). I would not use them again due to the attitude. If they did not want to do a Special, they should not have done it. Not my problem. I took advantage of what I thought would be a good deal but was not.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for 8 hours of landscaping they came and did exactly what I asked them to do, there was one tree that was too large and I am waiting to get the information so an arborist can come out and take care of the tree. The only thing I can say that could have gone better is we discussed a chain saw that they did not bring. It would have been a lot quicker and easier for the guys if they had a chain saw.

 + -1 moreThis was the BEST GIFT I ever gave myself, hands down ! ! ! It was great suddenly being 4 hrs further along in the yard without my having to lift a finger. The job was scheduled promptly, communication was super, the work was done efficiently & beautifully, and everything was cleaned up perfectly. The only thing that would have been better would have been if I had bought myself more time! (But now I know what the shoemaker felt like when the elves came to help during the night : )
Description of Work: Fruit to Fronds removed the annoying English ivy from my backyard then spent the remaining time cleaning up the beds, sweeping the driveway, & other things that I haven't yet noticed.
