Fischer Plumbing & Heating

It went well. I originally chose them because they sponsor a cycling team and have good Angie's list reviews. We liked everyone who came out and thought they were quick and easy to work with. I would use them again. It was very easy to get an appointment and reach someone. Some other plumbers I have had trouble getting ahold of resulting in a game of and quot;phone tagand quot; but not them.

I use Fischer Plumbing and Heating whenever I have a problem. I give them an A rating and will continue to use them

Thought it was a leak in the hot water tank but the plumber caught sight of where the leak was really coming from. It would have fooled most people and plumbers!

I used them because it was an emergency and they had the best Angie's List ratings. I thought their price was a little high and I called them about it but they told me that's how much it cost. I will use them again in the future.

Plumber arrived on time, was pleasant, did the job. Verbally quoted "high $100", which we understood to be $180ish. We received the bill and were shocked to be billed $299.50!! We had just had this identical problem at our vacation home and paid $140 to get it fixed so needless to say, we were dumbfounded to have the bill so much higher than the quote. Due to this, we will not use them again. Integrity is very important to us and this was not a pleasant experience.

The tenant called me late in the day to alert me to a drainage problem. All the sink drains were not working, but the toilet and shower drains were. I arrive later that evening to have a go at it myself. After an hour or so with a snake, I could not find the obstruction or figure out why only the sink drains would be affected. I called Fischer Plumbing. Even thought it was "after hours", a live person answered the phone and asked me if I needed "emergency service". I said that I could wait until the next morning. At 7:30AM the next morning, the scheduler from Fischer Plumbing called to setup an arrival time. We agreed at between 10-12 that same day. I asked for a "courtesy call" 1/2 in advance so I could drive over to the job site to meet the plumber. At 9:25AM, I received a call from Isaac, who estimated his arrival time at 10:00AM. I drove over and arrived at 10:02. Isaac was there waiting for me. He got right to work. He listened to my assessment of what I had done the previous day, and theorized what and where the blockage was. He found it and cleared it in about 15 minutes. There was no impact on the tenants. Isaac didn't even need to enter the house. As a small General Contractor, I've used lots of plumbers in the past. I mostly use Fischer Plumbing because they are ON TIME, fast, and the quality of work if very high. I'm very fussy and I've never been disappointed with Fischer Plumbing.

Our sewer pipe backed up into our main floor bathroom tub and toilet on a Saturday afternoon. I called several plumbing companies. Fischer actually had someone manning the phones, and their weekend service person -- Derek Dailey -- called me the quickest (within about 10 minutes). He quoted an emergency service price that was a bit lower than two other companies quoted. He came right now and snaked our sewer pipe, cleaning out the roots that had accumulated. He gave me some good advice about future maintenance. He even raked up the mess that had accumulated in the yard and bagged it up for me. He got it all done in under an hour, keeping our cost down.

Must admit that I had previously used another plumbing company that is closer to my rental house but they were uable to get someone out that day. Fischer Plumbing was called that morning and had someone out the same day. He arrived at the appointed time and fixed the problem quickly. He even remembered to cover his boots so he wouldn't track any dirt on the hardwood floors. He was very courteous and professional. I will use them again and would recommend them to others.

We had a small sewer back-up that we discovered on a Saturday afternoon. This incurred the emergency/weekend rates of the few companies that I called for an estimate, including Fischer. After getting two similar estimates, we decided to go with another company as Fischer said he couldn't honor our Angie's List coupon on the weekend--the coupon makes no reference to this whatsoever. Both companies told us it would take 1-2 hours before they could arrive. However, very shortly after these calls (and before we'd decided on a provider), Fischer unexpectedly showed up at the door. Which was great, but I told him if he'd honor the coupon, we'll give him our business. He agreed. Less than an hour later he'd rooted out the tree root that had grown into our sewer line and caused the blockage. The technician was friendly and personable. The reason for the "B" in the professionalism column is the back-and-forth on the coupon. If it's not good on weekends, then say that on the coupon. That's not something that should be negotiable. That notwithstanding, everything went very well.

Very quick and efficient. It was an easy job, which I would have done myself if I had had the proper equipment and parts. But I don't own a power snake and don't plan to buy one! My main complaints are that they would not honor the $30 off Angle's List coupon, telling me that it did not apply on weekends. The coupon did not list any such limitations. Also, I paid in full that day, but received a statement for the full amount that was dated after they had already processed my credit card.

Installation of the faucet was great, clean, no leaks, no fuss. Installer plumber was on time, called ahead, knew what he was doing. I cleared access under the sink to the pipes, shutoff valves, etc. We figured out where to shut off the main water supply and shut that off. No problem, drained the water from an open tap and the plumber went to work. The whole project took about two hours. If I had done it myself it would have taken four hours and probably would have leaked. Discovered, as mentioned above, the water pressure was low. I said I would check with City of Redmond where the pressure regulating valve was (PRV). It is buried near the water meter about three feet below ground. I dug a 2 x 2 foot hole around the valve and meter and called for service. Same plumber dispatched. Given that I had dug up the access to the valve pretty much his time on the replacement was shorter. Water was shut off, replacement completed in quick time. Pressure check after re-install and adjustment was at 60 psi. Perfect. Better flow, showers, sinks, hose ends etc. Only one outcome from this is that a 15 year old toilet flush valve would not shut off with the additional pressure now. I was able to replace that it and that seems to have solved the problem that it was running on. So far no other leaks based on the higher pressure. They do charge for a service call, plus labor that clocks out at $35/quarter hour. So if there is anything you can do to diminish the time the plumber technician spends on-site it would be smart to do so. Like digging a hold big enough to crawl into to get access to that valve for instance. If the plumber had to dig the hole himself and find the valve it would have been much more expensive to change the plumber from plumber to ditch digger. I would have them out again to replace the aging cheap contractor installed shut off valves to the faucets and toilets in the house. Or you can do it yourself and be chasing leaks for days afterwards. Good quality, reliable service is hard to come by. These guys charge for their expertise, but the outcome is what you want. It all works and doesn't leak.

Very satisfactory. Have used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

They were easy to work with and they gave me a good estimate. I decided to wait but I am likely to call them when I am ready to do the project.

I choose another company that had better overall ratings from Angie's list members. Other rating services in the Seattle area rate Fischer very highly. I feel that Fischer Plubing would have been a very acceptable choice. I like their approach to water conservationa dn prot ection of the environement.

They were very good. I spent $300 on that work. I thought they were very efficient. I paid what I expected to pay. The price might have been high but their service was really good.

They were very efficient and professional. They came in, got it done and they were on their way. They came here when they said they would.

After no help and spending $100 for an unproductive diagnosis [Aurora Plumbing, also highly rated by A.L. members], Fischer sent one of its best plumbers, who discovered that the sewer outlet was at the back, not the front of my house as I had guessed; brought in a crew that installed a completely new and accessible clean-out pipe, all within a day or two. I have ALREADY responded to your request for an evaluation. Did you lose the first one, or what?

They were good. Overall it was fine. It was great. Their services are excellent. I haven't compared prices. I don't know what other people charge. I would use their services again in the future.

The drain pipe behind the sink was leaking and they came out to fix that. The guy that first came out didn’t have the parts that he needed and it got close to 5 o'clock and he discovered that all the vent pipes needed to be snaked out. He didn't have a snake long enough and he said that a guy will come back the next day and it took maybe 5 or 10 minutes. We got charged a huge amount of money on the sort of thing that I could have fixed if I'd only had the tools. The first guy that came out was disorganized. He had a big truck full of stuff but not the stuff that he needed. He didn't get an itemized bill and left a big mess behind and I was disappointed. Both the guys were friendly and seemed honest in the sense that we weren't worried that they were going to come back and steal our belongings. As far as being competent plumbers or billing us in what we thought was a fair way given their lack of competence, we weren't impressed at all. I would tell others to try somebody else. They came out in a timely fashion but didn't finish it in a timely fashion.

The people from Fischer Plumbing and Heating were great and professional. A person showed me how to do the job myself. The first consultation was easy but, the follow up appointment were a bit difficult to get. They had to come twice as they fixed the leak and waited for a couple of days for it to set. Then they came back to detach the hole that had formed in the ceiling of the living room. They came on time on both occasions.

He told me what I could do to fix the bathroom sink and looked up the the details on the exterior drain on county records. He recommended that I fix the the sink my self to save $$$ and gave me a few suggestions on what to do about the exterior drain if it ever clogged up. Fischer is pricey, but the are local, honest and usually can schedule an appointment fairly quick.

Fischer Plumbing and Heating is very prompt and efficient. the prices are reasonable for the jobs they do. they are professional and will do the little things that are needed. i would use this company again.

They offer a coupon a discount for a service but there is a significant up front charge for them to come out to do the estimate which you pay wether or no use them.

We're very pleased. The project was quite complicated due to the size of available space, how the previous plumbing was arranged, and that all the parts were not available. Our technician was prompt, informative, and skilled. He told me I would be unsatisfied with one of the parts we had already purchased, that it was lower quality than what I would want so he ordered another one and came back a few days later, on time, installed it in short order. Job well done. Pricing - it appeared to be a simple job, installing a disposer. Not always the case, we found out. I suspect there are less expensive technicians who would accomplish the job satisfactorily, but I am not dissatisfied at all with the price after I observed how hard he worked.
