It took 2 hours at 140 per hour plus a 75 service call to not fix the leak. After testing the drain and the overflow the plumber declared it fixed. After a bath, I noticed another leak. I emailed Fischer plumbing and told them this, and said i was hesitant to pay more for a job that was not done properly. They sent another plumber out who tested it and found no leak. Another bath, another leak. Then i got another bill for $158. A total of over $500 for absolutely nothing. And now I am not sure if i am going to double down on Fischer or hire a plumber that has more experience.

They came out almost immediately and gave their bid for the work. We knew we wanted to use them so didn't bother getting more bids; theirs might be expensive but we knew it would be done right. They scheduled the work to coincide with the gutter work being done and were there on time and ready to go. The project involved a lot of digging, but as before, they were careful and quick. The city inspection was done right on time as well (they scheduled it) so they could close up quickly. The end result was exactly what we wanted.
Description of Work: We were doing a large exterior project, and Fischer Plumbing handled the routing and piping of our exterior drainage. We had used them before to replace a side sewer which included such piping and we were completely pleased then as well.

It actually worked out pretty well. They came out on time. The service was quick and they cleaned up after themselves. Our sewer system was kind of old at the time so they actually had to take the toilet off to snake down into the sewer system but they were able to get it done. It was a lot of work. The price was real reasonable. They did fine. They were very good. I would probably use them again first for any plumbing issues.
Description of Work: I used Fischer Plumbing & Heating because I had a clogged sewer system. They cleaned it out and scoped it to tell me what was wrong with it so I could schedule to get the rest of the work done.

We called Fischer to do some repairs under two sinks. The plumber showed up but didn't give us any estimate on what it was going to cost us. He told us that he didn't have the less expensive hot water dispenser on the truck and that he wouldn't charge us the difference for the more expensive one. We told the dispatcher that we needed two garbage disposals, but the plumber only showed up with one. The plumber didn't leave us an itemized list, and we had to call Fischer for one. When we got the bill we were in for a shock, $1264 for the higher priced dispenser (even though he promised not to charge it), the garbage disposal, and lots of 'overhead supplies' listed as required. Never did get the other garbage disposal installed. We called and argued that we should have been charged less for the hot water dispenser as the plumber promised. They didn't change the bill, and then charged interest on the bill during the dispute. We've had some good experiences with Fischer in the past, but this has changed our mind.

Fischer plumber came and fixed a leak from my upstair bathroom to my basement. The problem is that there are multiple cause of the leak and he only fixed one (leak from the toilet), so after he went home, I use the showers and oops, it's still leaking. So now I have to get someone else in to fix the other issue. The cost is also kinda outrageous. The actual work itself would be in 1 hours, but he really took his time to get stuff in/out so I got charge for 2 hours. On top of that, the cost for the and quot;materialand quot; is marked up as well. I would not recommend this company.

The sewer scope: the technician arrived promptly when scheduled, was professional and polite and got the job done quickly and efficiently. He was great about explaining exactly what the scope was showing, what it meant for us as potential buyers and gave us a DVD of the scope for our records. This was about $150. The water heater: After buying the house, one of the first things on my list was replacing the 17-year old water heater. Because of the good experience I'd had with Fischer doing our sewer scope I called them again. The technician (different than the first) was again timely, professional and friendly. He was very understanding when I asked to be showed what he was doing and asked a ton of questions about how it worked, how to avoid problems, and how to fix common problems. This service was about $850 including the unit. Again, happy customer!
Description of Work: First Fisher did the sewer scope for the inspection of a house I was offering on, then I was so impressed that I had them come back and install a new water heater a few weeks after closing.

At the time of service, the plumber didn't leave me with an invoice which was worrisome as I didn't know what the charge was going to be. Ultimately, I had to wait a good two weeks for them to send an invoice. Additionally, the plumber wasn't in uniform when he arrived at the house. However, he did do a good job with the repairs.

Great. They were able to come the next day, and I think the Fischer Plumbing guy who came had a lot of experience and integrity. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, and knew how to inexpensively fix what I had. The Home Depot guys, who were here the day before to install the washer for free, said they couldn't install it because my shut-off valves were corroded and leaking, and they couldn't do the install because of liability until I got a plumber out to fix it. I saw no corrosion, but I did see the leaking, so I took their word for it. The Fischer Plumbing guy just tightened it about a quarter turn, and the problem went away. There's no corrosion. The second part of the job was the outdoor anti-siphon faucet. I had called Southwest Plumbing out a month or so ago to fix it, and they told me I needed an entire new faucet, and that it would cost $700 because they had to go into the crawl space. The Fisher Plumbing guy just took off the anti-siphon top, inspected it and found that the gasket was still intact but had gotten a little crooked. He put it back on properly and it was fine.

We have reviewed this transaction. Facts are as follows: Would-be customer had been self-constructing this home for 3 years. Upon regulatory inspection, several plumbing systems were not in compliance with code. Inspection failed. We were called out to bring it all to code -- approx a day's worth of work...and customer had called for re-inspection on the day we were called. Our most skilled plumber was sent. When told the time it would take which included breaking up concrete to install a trap primer on the floor drain, correcting a dishwasher vent issue 3 stories up the side of the house among other issues, customer rudely said "if you can't do it in 2 hours, we're done." So we left. I regret the unsatisfactory outcome of this encounter, but I defend our evaluation. The ratings shown here are gratuitous and undeserved. -Daryl Miller, owner

Have used this company before to replace the garbage disposal. Have been very pleased with them both times.
Description of Work: Called in over the weekend. Since it was not an emergency situation, I said it could wait until Monday. They called promptly Monday morning and Carl arrived within the hour. He presented me with a business card when he arrived, which was a nice touch I thought. He was very personable and explained to me that PVC can get brittle over time and has about a 10 year life span. Since all the PVC pipe under the kitchen sink was about the same age, we agreed that it would all be . He had all the parts and quickly and neatly changed it all out.

Away for the Holiday's when my sump pump broke down. Upon arriving home called fischer plumping who were able to schedule me an appointment promplty. My wife was home with out 1 yr old infant when the plumber came by to work on sump pump. Hence, she did not stay to observe the plumber work, but the two times she asked to recieve an update on the project she was told he was busy and the ignored her further inquiries. I called the company to tell them I wished their plumber to leave my property, but was told the job was done. Per the plumber he had some problems with the wiring, but provided us with a spare used pump for free. When I got home and evaluated the work I note the pump was not kicking on appropriately, and he had cut the pumps cord splicing the electrical work directly above the open pit of water. The plumber came back out a couple days later, with a new pump, fixed the electrical situation, and left. Again the pump would not kick on appropriatly due to the water level. The manager was contacted a few days later, and reported he would get me a pump that would work correctly. Three weeks later, after multiple phone calls, and voicemails, the company came out. Per the manager they could not find a pump that would work for my application, so they rigged the pump to work. After the second pump was installed I had asked about the drain line for the sump pump and the plumber stated he had not looked at it, but he would be happy to take a look at it for an additional cost. This should have been done with the initial evaluation, but was told they typically do not do that. Due to frustration I told him to forget about it, which turned out to be a mistake. After a week I noticed the water was backing up through french drains next to the foundation. Their solution they could charge me $200 to diagnoise the issue which may or may not be fixed. Resolution is the pump works adaquetly with a rigged up pump/drainage system, until I can address the defecencies myself. I paid them for the pump just to be done with them.

We regret (member name removed) perspective. He purchased his house recently, inheriting a sump pump installed into a non-standard homemade catch basin set in concrete, and electrical power outside normal proximity. This nonstandard system pumps footing drain water into a downspout line. This is not legal and would not pass inspection. The pump failed. We provided him with estimates to install a pump and drainage system congruent with code, and recommended proper electrical wiring. He did not wish to invest the cost and chose to continue use of an extension chord. We therefore simply installed a new pump in the improper system, all for $350. This was very good value received. It can be difficult to please a customer who does not wish to conform his system with code.

There was some confusion over billing. The first man who came said he couldn't solve the problem and would send someone out to make a free estimate and he would not charge for his visit. A few days later I received a bill for $75 plus tax. It took three telephone calls to reach someone to clear this up. When I finally reached the and quot;proper personand quot;, she said that the bill from the first plumber had not been clear about and quot;no chargeand quot;. Then it was agreed that they would not charge me because the man who came to my house had told me he wouldn't charge me but had not made this clear on the report he had given to the company. So I decided to give them a second chance. I asked them to send someone to my house to make an estimate on replacing some old clogged hot water pipes in addition to replacing the washing machine drain. The man came but I have not yet received the estimate. The pipe replacements will be a big and expensive job so I will get at least two more estimates before I decide on a plumber to do it

I contacted Fisher by email late on Friday night (after hours) and got an email reply the next day. Scheduling wasn't an issue and Michael, the plumber, was at our house exactly on time. He assessed the problems, offered clear solutions, and got the work done in an appropriate time period. There was no mess, he explained things through to my wife (who was home while the work was being done), and we were completely satisfied. We'd use Fisher again without reservation.

We had a leak go through the ceiling and had to have an emergency visit and order of parts which they charged heavy for. Service guys were on time and professional. One seemed to be training the other. I had knocked something into the toilet while it was flushing and it had gotten jammed where it couldn't be reached. I called several plumbers who weren't available quickly and one recommended that I try Fischer, because they have a large service crew. They removed the toilet and snaked it from the back. I had been having a bit of moisture collecting around the base of the toilet and the lead repair guy discovered after removing the toilet that the leak was coming from between the floor and the lead bend. He bent the led bend and attached it to the subflooring to keep the toilet from leaking and then they reinstalled the toilet. Both problems were resolved.
Description of Work: Removed toilet from the wall, took it outside and snaked it from the back to remove a container that I had knocked into the toilet while it was flushing, repaired leak, reinstalled toilet.
