Very well--excellent service and advice.

Emerald responded quickly to my estimate request, the price was great & we were able to schedule the tree to be cut down within a week. The tree cutters were very professional, & skilled. They lowered each branch and cut around the power lines.

Everything went as planned from the initial call to the end result. Eric answered my call right away and was extremely helpful. The team took time to remove my temporary fence and put it back exactly as it was before they arrived. They were very efficient and courteous. I would definitely recommend them again!

Allen came out to do the job of pruning 3 trees. He was early, and was very courteous and professional. We walked through the scope of their work, talking about exactly what they would do, before they got started. Afterward, he walked me back through to make sure I was happy with their work, and answered a few questions. In all I am very happy to have used Emerald Tree Service. Eric and his crew were professional and courteous, and I am very happy with the work they performed. I will definitely use them again for my stump grind and to look at the street trees this summer.

Excellent through and through. Received a call back immediately. Allen arrived right on time to make a bid. Provided an estimate on site. Scheduled the work for the following week. I was not able to be present for the work and was delighted to find the work done exactly as discussed. I am very happy with the entire experience of working with Emerald Tree Service. Because of initial experience was so positive, we did not seek additional bids so I cannot speak to the competitiveness of the price but given the positive experience we had from start to finish, I feel it was a great value.

Excellent. Allan came on time to provide a quote, which he did the same day. Then an opening in their busy schedule allowed them to do the work 2-3 weeks sooner than originally expected. They were punctual on the day of the project. Allan and 2 other team members did a great job, working fast, hard and as a real team. Allan did the most technical part of the job which was carefully selecting a few limbs and branches on the sequoia to open up a long lost view without damaging the tree. He is clearly an expert and made careful recommendations including which branches we should not touch. We are very happy with the results. The team cleaned up thoroughly throughout and when the job was complete. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Smashing. I took many estimates for this project. Probably six. Only Emerald Tree Service took the time to actually look and appraise each part of the job and make detailed notes. Eric, who did the estimate and sized-up the job, could describe all the elements and easily identify all the trees, bushes, and shrubs (it's amazing how many tree services and "arborists" could not even identify the species and varieties of trees for which they were bidding to tend), clearly considered the needs of the yard and trees, and provided an itemized estimate. Execution went exactly as planned, exactly on budget, and under the time stated. Any everything was spic-and-span when they left. They ground ALL the stumps. The only "B" was price. Everything else was "A." And I feel the B is unfairly given, in a way, so let me explain. The confidence inspired by the other arborists and tree services was negligible. One other arborist came by and gave an itemized bill . . . and the prices were about the same as Eric quoted . . . but this other arborist was just sloppy . . . on everything. The estimate was lower because he didn't/couldn't match the scope of the work. Other services wouldn't grind stumps or the stump grinding was extra -- and it was a LOT. What this added up to was the VALUE was great. They took care of much more than other services seemed to be able to handle OR ARTICULATE. A final bidder came out -- I forget which one -- and described what I wanted done. . . . the same job as described to Eric . . . and the guy would just say "yeah yeah yeah" and regale me with arborist stories. Later, he sent in the estimate. No details, just "four guys for six hours" or something like that. Inquiring, the answer I got was "those guys can do everything you want in that amount of time." No transmission of instruction, no subtlety, no consideration of what could be saved, what should be decimated, and what could be re-formed and resuscitated. Just nothing. It was about 65% the price quoted by Emerald. They beat Emerald on price. But only a fool would have gone with those guys. I went with Emerald. And I'll go with them next year. . . . And I'll skip shopping around.

We are very happy with the service we received. We called Emerald Tree service to schedule an estimate. We found a mutually agreeable time for the estimate with Eric, the owner. After the appointment, he promptly emailed us a detailed estimate. Eric was very good at appropriately communicating throughout the project. He had a clear estimate, he emailed us a reminder before the day of the service, he also emailed us some information ahead of the appointment about what space his trucks needed near our home. The day of the service, we decided to add some extra trimming to the work and the on-site leader was able to give us an estimate for the additional work. The workers carefully lowered the large fir tree limbs that were removed so nothing below was damaged. The trees look masterfully trimmed. The workers were all very polite. When they were done, they thoroughly cleaned up the yard. We are planning to have them back next year to work on another fir tree and whatever else has grown out of control by then.

Eric Gale's crew (Emerald Tree Service) performed the work. It took several weeks to schedule the estimate because they were busy, but Eric rendered it within 30 minutes once on site, and the work was scheduled for two weeks later, August 20. His crew of two came out, removed the rotting pear tree which was partially surrounded by a deck in our back yard. The also removed cedar and filbert branches which were overhanging our roof and gutters. The cedar branches were 30 feet above ground. The crew also asked me, on site, about how to shape our front yard holly tree, which was difficult to reach during sloping terrain, and did good job given the difficulties reaching the branches of this 25 foot tree.

I called several tree services and emerald tree service was not only the first to get back to me, they contacted me on the same day. Eric was fantastic with communication, both in how well he explained things, and promptness. The tree removal itself went perfectly on the exact date and time we agreed on. 10/10 Would use again.

So impressed with every aspect of this company and their employees! The scope of the job ended up being far larger then was anticipated but their attitude and work ethic was amazing! The wood was cut to about 18" and stacked....a huge neat stack! A majority of the second day was spent bringing down branches in neighbors yard and took great care. At the end of the second long day they did an amazing cleanup job in the yard as well as my driveway where the wood chipper truck had been. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This tree was leaning on another tree that if it fell would crash onto my home. They understood the urgency and came within 24 hours. The workers were great and they cleaned the area up well.

I emailed the provider outlining the project for which I wanted a bid. No response.

If all small businesses were run like this one, the world would be a better place. Owner/Operator Eric provided us with a thorough and prompt estimate for the significant work we wanted done in our inner-city hard. Because they are quite busy right now, it took a couple of weeks for the work to be done, but it was well worth that wait! Eric showed up for the front-end of the job to ensure our key objectives were understood by his crew. The courteous and hard-working crew was onsite for about 6 hours, with the final hour spent in a thorough cleanup. We could not be happier with the work done by Emerald Tree Service. We are now busily handing out Eric's business cards to friends and neighbors!

I am very pleased with the service provided! Eric came out to provide an estimate and asked a lot of questions regarding how I would like the trees trimmed. I only give a B to responsiveness because there was a minor disconnect on scheduling the initial estimate visit. Two guys showed up on the day of service and spent four solid hours working. They introduced themselves and confirmed the work to be completed with a walk through. They were approachable with questions during their work. Very professional! Mike made sure I was happy with the shape of all the trees by taking my two rounds of feedback. All the debris in my yard was picked up and it looks great!

Eric came to my house to walk around my property and provide advice and an estimate on work I needed to have done. He was very kind and patient and explained what my options were. He provided an itemized estimate very quickly, and I was able to select my top priority work. There is still some work I chose not to do right away, but I was very VERY satisfied with the work the crew did and plan to ask Emerald Tree Service to do the other tree work next year. The crew came to my house on time on the day the work was scheduled. It seemed to me that the crew loved trees as much as I thought Eric, the owner, does. I'm something of a tree-hugger, myself, so this appeals to me. They explained what they planned to do, which was exactly what Eric and I agreed to (a relief to me as it's not always the case that the contractor's crew understands the work the same way I do). The work was done in a timely manner, the crew was polite and they cleaned up completely. They were very careful with the stump grinding, I had fairly new plantings near a couple of the stumps and there were able to work around them, in one case he moved one small plant and replaced it after the stump was out. My trees look great now. You can trust that these guys respect your garden and your trees and your landscape.

The service turned out very well. I met a guy who gave me an estimate for the service. He was very friendly ans knowledgeable. I was not home while they did the work but they did an excellent job and were great with the clean up afterwards. They were very responsive and scheduling was very easy. I have also referred them to two other friends.

The Emerald Tree Service team showed up as planned, protected the space from falling branches and removed all the debris leaving the site clean. The team completed the job in around 3 hours. Eric and his team are very professional, punctual, and answered all our questions about trees.

Eric responded very quickly to my bid request. He and his crew are professional, punctual, thorough and efficient. We had a slight miscommunication about the work to be done, but Eric didn't hesitate to make sure things were right the very next day. I am very pleased with Emerald Tree Service, and will use them again.

They didn't take everything off, just trimmed a massive tree. I helped them with their cleanup, because they were doing such a good job. I'm 100% happy with their work. I would give them my highest recommendation.

Eric and team are awesome. They were professional, courteous and friendly. They asked questions and double checked with me when they were unsure of something, plus they were super knowledgeable. Most importantly, they really care about what they are doing and treated the job as if it were their own property/house/tree. On top of that I found them to be reasonable on price - I would gladly use them again and highly recommend them.
