The owner, Ray Shanahan did a thorough estimate, walking me around the house, discussing options, making suggestions. Then created the estimate on-site and walked me through it. He comes across as a high integrity person and his actions support that initial impression. The color consultant spent an hour with us to select potential paint options, which was very helpful to the process. The painting crew was very professional, focused on the work and it looked to me they were enjoying doing the job. I always feel professionals who enjoy what they do provide a higher level of quality and service, and this crew confirmed my feeling. They pressure washed on a Friday and returned on Tuesday to begin scraping and prepping the surfaces. Painting happened methodically on the 1000 sq foot bungalow Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday they made any finishing touches, checking in with me about anything I had noticed, checking to be sure all windows would open, and then walked me around the house for an inspection. After the inspection they attended to a couple of minor touch-ups I didn't see. Clean up was thorough, not a paint chip in sight and all equipment removed from the site. Excellent, hassle-free work.

Certa Pro did a great job painting our house's exterior! We want them to come back to paint the interior this fall. Owner Ray Shanahan made the process really easy. We were well informed up front about how the crew would do the job, and Ray sent us frequent texts to update us on the schedule, like needing to wait for the Seattle rain to clear. I always knew when the painters would come and they were always on time. I had picked some beautiful soft gray colors from Benjamin Moore, and Tyra from Certa Pro visited to confirm the colors would achieve the pretty, modern All-American look I wanted. Adan and his crew were so polite and nice to have around! They were very detail oriented and careful. Because the crew was large and worked well together, the job got done quickly. They cleaned up the site every night. They did an excellent job with the prep work. There were very few touchups required. I want them to come back for the interior job. We had put off the painting because I was nervous about the expense and hassle. But this was honestly a very easy and reasonably priced project for us. I would highly recommend Ray Shanahan and his Certa Pro painters.

Dan came and did our estimate and he was incredibly flexible in giving us different pricing options. Once we committed to the job, the painters came the next week and did a speedy high quality job.

Three day job in continuous day. All were completed excellently!

Ray's estimate was quick and thorough, we had some carpentry to be done prior to the painting and they could handle that work. His price was about 1/3 lower than next "pro" bid we received. Kaitlyn helped us refine the colors with a couple good suggestions. We added the accent wall for minimal cost. Adon (sp?) knocked out the carpentry on the first day and then the crew mudded and painted for the next three days straight, arriving on time and working quietly and efficiently throughout the day. Done in 4 days as promised, real professional looking paint job, no big messes - a real nice group of people to work with. We are very happy with the work and plan to ask Ray & his team back for future projects as we are reworking our way through every room of our 1909 house near Green Lake.

I would give the overall experience a B- . Considering the amount of work that we had done, the price was fair. The two painters were on time, courteous and put in full days on the job. During the initial project interview/estimate, we were advised that this franchise owner used experienced painters on his jobs so that's what we were expecting. One of the painters assigned did have significant experience - the other, this was his first job and while he was a good worker - needed coaching and correction throughout the job. On the "final' inspection I found multiple areas that needed additional coverage (missed on second coat), and areas where brush strokes were obvious and in areas that would be noticed. There was a bit of a push back from the franchise owner which I didn't appreciate, but he did fix the issues I pointed out.

Ray Shanahan and his crew have painted two different houses for us. They did such a good job on the first house that I asked them to put in a bid after we moved. We chose them for the second house too and they did an even better job than the first time. The thing that is great about Ray is that he believes in providing a quality job and will stand by his word. He's a standup guy and will do what he says he's going to do. You can trust him to do his best and provide a final product you're happy with.

They emailed the appointment for estimate provided. They provided clear info on their services including estimate at the same time. Scheduling the work was a bit rocky, but the job completion was timely and excellent.

We had a great experience with CertaPro. Ray was very flexible in working around our schedules and he communicated with us and kept us informed throughout the entire process. Once the painting was done, we met with the painters to do a walk-through. There were just a few minor areas to touch up and they were great about coming back to do the work.

Ray was a pleasure to work with! He keeps you up to date with every part of the process and checks in on his crews while they are working. He also works with a wonderful color consulate - And the pricing for that service is so reasonable. We are thinking of having some drywall and additional painting done to the interior of the house - And we would certainly choose CertaPro Painters!

All communication and interactions with Ray Shannon were prompt and professional throughout our entire painting project. Pricing was competitive. We did all the prep work on our house (complete pressure washing, sanding, scraping, and priming where needed) and also provided the paint ourselves. The two-man paint crew that did the actual work were excellent: VERY professional, friendly, quiet, and always cleaned up after themselves. The job included a couple of final walk around checks at the end with the crew and was completed to our satisfaction. We're very pleased overall with the job, with Ray, and with his crew. We'll definitely recommend him to friends.

Fantastic. Any complications - which were inevitable and few - were handled promptly and thoroughly. Everyone involved was hard working, detail oriented, professional and pleasant.

On the first project, owner Ray Shanahan sent a professional color consultant out to meet with us after we were interested but unsure about doing three colors for our ceiling, molding and custom build ins in a room as well as getting another room and bathroom painted. The color consultant called within an hour of being given our number and arranged to meet us at a time that worked for us (outside of business hours). She was great. Ray provided an estimate within a day of that and was able to get a crew scheduled over the weekend to meet our needs. (We had put off getting the project done, and were on a time crunch. We thought there was no way we would get this done on our dream timeline... thanks to Ray we did and could not be more happy.) The crew was nice and did great clean up. They also did amazing work. We are so pleased with how the three colors played off of each other in the bedroom, and the color change we made in the second bedroom completely modernizes the room. Ray came through personally to inspect all the work, and noticed one or two minute details that I have to admit I'd missed in looking over everything, as I was so excited about how great the final work product looked. I was so impressed with the first project that I contacted Ray the next month about doing work at my condo building where I've been the president of my HOA the last 9 years. Over that time I've gotten many bids for many types of repair and other work. More often than not I've been less than pleased. This is one of a few times where I've been blown out of the water (in a good way). Two years ago, we got our interior walls repainted in our common areas per our long term plan, which called to get them done every eight years. Six months ago I saw serious wear, marking and scuffing on the walls beyond what was reasonable wear and tear. The paint consistency had worn unevenly, as lower quality paints apparently can. I contacted Ray. He came out the same day to give an estimate, again, after work hours and at a time which worked for me. The bid to re do the shoddily done work was just slightly higher than what we'd paid to have it done for, but, this time, I have no doubt that the paint will actually last and look good and wear well. He explained the shortcoming of the type of paint that was used and why we were having the issues we did. It was a good lesson to me in the fact that always picking the lowest bid doesn't mean you are getting the best deal/result. Point well taken. I'm willing to pay a little more for good work and great work product that will last. While he was there, I asked Ray about some problems with our exterior paint job (the building is 13 years old). I was delighted to hear about how much exterior painting they do. Turns out, they had just painted a new Panera I've been to a few months earlier. Small world! Ray told me of low cost alternatives which he said might improve some of the issues. Rather than being just out to make money he thought to give me advice that was spot on. How novel, a business man with integrity and creative ideas that don't always serve his bottom line. And, while he was right, the water marks and staining on the exterior improved with his suggestions, the issues are still not totally fixed (which makes sense given the age of the building). I tell you what, everyone in my building is on board to have no company other than Ray and his crew do our exterior paint job next Spring. I don't even need to get a second bid. I trust this guy and his work.

This is the second job that Ray's crew has done for me and it was done well, good price and on time. The building looks the best it ever has!

Ray and his crew were great. Ray was by far the most organized and professional of all the painters I interviewed for this job and have used for other projects in the past. He was super responsive and service oriented from initial contact to completion of the job. His crew were on time each day and worked hard throughout the duration of the job--even staying late for the final walk through. We had to adjust a few details along the way and they were very responsive to our change request and their follow through to make sure we were happy with the final result was first class. I would definitely work with them again would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Adam, the contractor, was courteous and on time. He and his crew worked hard the five days they were at our home. They cleaned up every day, paid attention to details, and did an excellent job!

Excellent job on painting our home. Strong project management, clear communication on status, excellent customer service. We are happy customers and have used Certapro twice now. The original job last year was for interior work and the most recent was a full-scale exterior job painting our home and detached garage. It looks great!

They were on time, used the right paint, were super careful, and did a great job. Very happy with the results!

Overall they did a good job, but they didn't exactly match the shade of white paint I wanted. I told them I wanted an exact match to make sure everything looked the same, but people do notice the difference. Overall it's good though. I would use them again if we made sure the paint is right.

I had written a reference to CertaPro on the back of old bus schedule some time ago, and they were the first people I called when I got down to having the interior of my home painted. Ray Shanahan come out to do the estimate, and felt a sense of trust with him immediately. He was very professional, did all the measurements, and estimates himself. He showed me photos of the company's previous work, and also reviews written by other customers. Having the whole interior of your house painted (including ceilings) repainted is never an inexpensive proposition, but Ray gave me his best price immediately. I knew it was in the ball park for a good price because exterior painting on the house several years ago cost about the same amount. Ray even set me up for about an hour's worth of time with a professional coordinator for proper color selection. Upon accepting their contract, Ray's team showed up about a week later, and got to work. I entrusted them with the keys to my house while was away for the day. The team proved very trustworthy, with excellent attention to detail. The work took five days, and the interior hardware of the house (electric outlets, stair banisters, shower curtains, etc.) were all returned to their original locations. Ray's team even put clear coat on the wood frames of Milgard Windows that I had had installed several years ago. I have a plumbing issue with my house that will require part of the kitchen ceiling be opened to repair a pipe. This will occur this week. Ray has promised to return to touch up the ceiling at no additional charge. Choosing contractors for home improvement work is always a stressful proposition for me, so it's a pleasure to encounter a business that is so very interested in delighting its customers, and striving for excellent reviews. I give my highest recommendations to Ray Shanahan and his CertaPro team.

I think the bid amount was for about $4500. I thought that they were straight forward and professional. The overall experience with them was good. Their responsiveness and punctuality were good as well.

The 2-man crew arrived as scheduled, moved furniture, and draped everything, taped moldings, etc. Extra care was taken with my hardwood floors. These rooms hadn't been painted for probably close to 20 years, and there was substantial discoloration from soot on the walls and in the corners from frequent fireplace usage. They were very thorough and worked hard to meet my 2-day deadline. As promised, they finished the job in time for Thanksgiving, and it looked beautiful. Because I had two very heavy, old mirrors that needed to be put back up, Ray came back over to help me do that. He advised me on the type of hangers I should purchase, and came over with his drill and tools to get everything put back up on the walls. It looks so great! Thanks CertaPro!
