CAROL IVAN

I called Carol on the phone Friday at 4:30pm. After I described the trouble, she looked up some reference material regarding my hardware on her compter. She determined that a site visit was most appropriate. She was available right then! so I had her come over. She patiently listened to my understanding of the issue and gace credit for the knowledge I had (i.e. she didn't start from step zero since I had already brought us to step 2...saving me some $$). She troubleshooted a rather messy set of wiring and ultimately determined that my switch wsa bad! Half of the ports were not working. I'd say that resolving this problem in one hour was outstanding.

Carol showed up on time and was very pleasant. She got to work right away and didn't require any assistance. She was willing to answer questions while she worked. When she was finished, she told me what she did and made future recommendations. I will definitely use her again when I want to upgrade my computer.

I had a computer virus that I couldn't get rid of. She went right to work and was able to get rid of the problem. She always arrives on time and is diligent and thorough.

Computer running slowyly, she removed systems that were causing problems - explained what was happening and what the fix is. She offered great advice for future systems and equipment.

She spent about 2 hours, explained things well so I understood what she was doing..

Carol arrived right on time and got right to work. Competent and knowledgable, my wife and I found her very easy to work with, ask questions and found solutions and didnt make us feel techno defficient, even though we are a little. Had to move her along as time was over three hours, so I didnt get a couple minor things accomplished, but overall, very excellent visit and we will have her back the next time I need computer service.

The work was done very well. I would totally recommend her. She was very efficient. When one tough program was running on one computer, she was working on the other one. She made some suggestions on the questions which I had, and on improving the security. I have recommended her to one of my friend. If I have computer problems, I would definitely call her again. Her price was good in comparison to other people. She was responsive as she worked around my schedule. She was very professional as its very hard to find any virus.

This is the second time I've need Carol's help. Like last time, she was able to come help within 2 days. She turned up on time, was very professional and personable, went right to work, and solved my problem quickly and with no fuss. The process was much faster, easier, and cheaper than my taking the system to an on site repair company. Carol also offered a number of useful suggestions for security and other tips, all for free.

Carol arrived on time and worked steadily, cleaning up two computers to make them run faster. She checked for viruses and told us how to add memory to one of the computers so that is would perform much better. She even told us where we could get the best deal. I would use her again for computer issues.

Carol arrived on time for our appointment. I had an issue in transfering specific data to my new laptop. My family and friends had tried to help with this, but no one could figure it out. It turned out to be a more complex problem than anyone had realized, but Carol was able to solve it, well within an hours' time. She also set-up some new things on the laptop, answered several questions of mine, then gave me a mini lesson on Windows 7. All this in one hour and $80 ! She is very knowledgeable and a good teacher for computer-challenged people like myself. I'm very pleased with all aspects of her service and will hire her again if needed.

Carol was exactly on time. We had made a list of our issues which she looked over and began working on immediately. She was clear, straight-forward, understandable, and a very good listener, asking good questions about our comments and concerns. She gave us basic training on a couple matters we didn't know about, and she was an excellent teacher. She was an excellent problem-solver, including going the extra mile to figure out how to complete the upgrade to Windows 7. We could not have been more pleased with the service we received.

I cannot say enough good about Carol. First, she was willing to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. She was very persistent when a problem came up with the printer installation. Incredibly well. My system was back and fully funtional about 3 hours after my initial email to Carol. She is very knowledgeable and every efficient in the time she spends.

Carol was selected and invited to address our PC concerns due, in large part, to the reports submitted and displayed on Angie?s List. Ours is a residential PC, WINXP. Our historical PC maintenance guidance primarily focused on MS updates and PC security. Persistent and progressing issues, i.e., crashing, delays, contributed to a less-than-satisfactory PC experience. Carol was invited to address our concerns. Arriving at the appointed time, Carol first sought to completely understand our perception of the difficulties. She then proceeded to learn the overall status of our PC to assist in developing an efficient and accurate approach for corrective actions which might be prudent. She worked quickly and efficiently discussing the merits of each electronic adjustment prior to activation. In our case, our stance on PC security was particularly aggressive which was a major contributing factor in many of the problems that we were experiencing. Several other factors were discovered and addressed. Carol also opened the PC case and thoroughly dusted the inside cavity and elements. Prior to her departure, Carol had me negotiate a few of the programs to learn of their adjusted response. It was immediately apparent that there was an improvement in the overall function of this PC. A day later, Carol emailed an inquiry to learn of our PC experiences since her service. Since her service, our PC has performed very well. All of our concerns, which prompted us to call Carol, have been satisfactorily addressed. We will call on Carol again for our PC needs. We do not hesitate in recommending Carol; She is a credit to her industry.

In a word WOW! Carol was on time. I had DSL but no internet. Worked with ISP to get modem working. Advised and explained why to remove duplicate anti-virus/spyware programs. Researched error message and removed duplicate Adobe Reader & Acrobat programs. Optimized system so that it runs faster and smoother. Good tips, explains options and very knowledgeable. Well worth the time and money.

She charges by the hour and is very reasonable. I would recommend her to others.

She set up a number of things for me. We had problems with new Vista relating to my printer, and she was able to resolve that. She was very helpful. She was always ontime. She was able to give me really tight estimates regarding the amount of time and cost. If anything she came in under that estimate. She was really good to work with. Overall, I had a very great experience. Her rates were very reasonable. She did a lot of work for me over several different days. I would definitely use her again, if I still lived in the Seattle area. I have already referred her to several friends.

Carol is super. My computer was older than dirt and slower than a centipede! I wanted to throw it off the Aurora Bridge! So, after reading the comments supplied by Angie's list about Carol, I called her to come to the rescue! She arrived on time, and got right to work. I thought she would tell me to get a new computer. Instead she said I can speed this up or , . . and gave me other options. I chose one of the other options and I now have a system I am TOTALLY happy with! She spent 4 hours but only charged me for 3 as there were some things that really "bugged her" and she wanted to figure them out so she didn't charge me. Do I recommend her? ABSOLUTELY!

Carol had me on line again quickly and showed my housemate about a setting on his computer that was keeping him from getting online. As always, she offered to spend the rest of the one hour minimum on any other help we needed. I've learned to have a list of small problems ready for the next time Carol comes, and she solved these in a few minutes. Carol's a great teacher, and each time she comes, she gives me a valuable lesson in how to solve my own problems--this time she sorted out and labeled all the connections and gave me the basic steps for checking connectivity. She's good-natured about my computer stupidity and about having to crawl under my work table to gather up wires.. Having her here is always a positive experience.
