These guys are always great and courteous. We come back to Button because it is a family owned and operated business. They are all personable and generous with their time. This visit included the son of the owner and a journeyman. Both were so professional, worked quickly, and even asked if there was anything else that they could do to make our lives easier.

They arrived on time and started to work being very mindful of laying down tarps on the floor so they wouldn't be tracking dirt in. Once they started to work they just kept at it and the only slow down was when they took the time to answer any questions that I had. They finished the job by the time they promised and throughly cleaned all the work areas. We will certainly use this company in the future and recommend they to our friends.

They need to get their act together on follow up and scheduling in order to receive higher ratings in my book, but I WOULD use them again if I ever had a problem with plumbing. The principal is an excellent professional, but he needs to be careful about the individuals who do any work on his behalf. This is a small local business, and I would like to see them succeed.

I spent about $150 on that service. They were very prompt, very fair priced and friendly. They were also punctual and easy to deal with.

This was our second time using Button Plumbing, having originally hired them to help with plumbing rough-in for a bathroom remodel. We originally hired them based on several stellar reviews from co-workers. In this case, we were replacing the main while installing a french drain. Our landscaping company did all the trench work for the new water main, so Button plumbing was willing to give us a very low bid, figuring that there would be a total of a couple of hours worth of work. The job seemed to go smoothly enough, but the next day the work failed permit inspection for technical reasons. Basically, the original water main had been installed through a small hole in our foundation about a foot under ground. Shawn understandably re-used this same hole when he installed the new main. Unfortunately, current code requires that the main be at least 18" deep when it enters the house, to avoid the frost line. This required doing the entire job all over again from scratch, digging under the foundation to lay the pipe deeply enough to meet code. We told Shawn that the inspection had failed, and he was incredibly responsive. He put other clients on hold in order to come out the next morning and do the job again from scratch. As a result, he invested twice as much in time and materials as he had planned when he bid the job. Nevertheless, he re-did the work quickly and well, and did not charge anything above the original bid amount. I was very impressed by the quality of service, especially given that the scope of work was so small, and the permitting process ended up being so onerous.

We discovered the clogged drain at noon on Thursday and immediately called Button Plumbing. Carol scheduled an appointment for later the same afternoon. Shawn and Matt arrived at 4pm and by 5pm the drain was unplugged...thanks to their expertise and their handy-dandy snake! I was impressed by the ease in scheduling an appointment, the punctuality of the crew and their attention to detail. Shawn even swept the floor before he left. Good job guys!

I had an appointment with Button Plumbing to provide me with an estimate for plumbing work for a kitchen remodel. I called about a week ago and set up the appointment. I was told Jim would be at my house between 5 and 7. On the appointment day at 4:30 pm, I called to confirm and was told it would be more like 6pm. 6pm came and went, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30. At 7:45 I called Button Plumbing and got an answering machine so I left a message. It wasn't until after 8pm that I got a response to my voicemail saying he wasn't coming. I completely understand that jobs can take longer than estimated, however, a simple courtesy call at 7pm to tell me he was running late or wasn't coming should have been made but instead I had to call you only to get an answering machine. Very unprofessional. I postponed dinner thinking we could eat after he left. You would think in today's ecomonic times that contractors would be more responsive and considerate. You would not have received this negative comment if you would only have called me instead of making me wait around and then having to call you when Jim didn't show. I was asked if I wanted to re-schedule. No way. If he didn't show up the first time, how can I count on him showing up the second time.

Jim has a professional approach to his work. Our project was complicated because there were so many unknowns. Before his part of the project started, Jim visited the job site more than once to advise us and make sure we could do what we wanted to accomplish. Jim gave us confidence that no matter what we discovered in the walls, he could make it work for us. He was rarely punctual, but that was a pretty minor issue compared to the overall job. Carole could always track him down for us. I was very pleased with his work, and the demeanor of Jim and Sean and their crew. I would definitely hire him again. Not only is he a good plumber, he is "good people."

I called and scheduled with Button Plumbing. They arrived just as scheduled and promptly did all the work necessary to keep water out of our walls and to make our shower work more comfortably. The reason I like Button Plumbing is that they don't make the work out to be more than it is and when it is done it works, no water leaks and everything is tested. They are more worried about keeping my house clean than I am as they removed their shoes but the area we were working is demolished as we are renovating this area of the house and uncovered this small leak in the vent pipe. I'll continue to use Button for all my plumbing needs.

He was on time and started to work immediately. He did a great job snaking the bathtub and laundry drains. He even had to snake through the laundry roof vent. Very clean and professional. I would use Button in the future.

I called Button on a Thursday and reached a woman named Carol. She was in a car or truck. I told her I needed a leak fixed in my kitchen sink. We made an appointment, but no on ever showe up. When I called, the woman had answered the phone said they could come out the next day, but I was unavailable.

The job went very smoothly thanks to clear communication. They always arrived when they said they would and kept us informed. Their recommendations saved us a lot of time, money, and effort.

Sean arrived on time and had removed his shoes before we opened the door. He and his apprentice were eager to please and did whatever we asked them to do with skill and good humor. We asked Sean to return to readjust the hot water setting in the shower and he did so at no extra charge. They worked approximately an hour and a half and feel the charge was appropriate. The entire experience was stress free and we even feel that we've made 2 good friends. We will definitely hire them for any future plumbing needs.

He is consistently very late but it worth hiring him. He does very good job and if he has to extend he does not charge more. He is very trustworthy.

On time, easy to work with and worked well with other workers in house.

Sean (or Shawn) Button and his assistant Matthew were great. Very nice, polite, funny, and easy to talk to. Kept me informed about what they were doing and thinking. Fixed two of my three problems; for the third he explained very clearly why he couldn't fix it and gave me options. I was told it would cost $100/hr. He charged me $150/hr because Matthew was with him. But they were there for 1.5 hours and he only charged me for an hour, so I was happy. They were efficient and clean. Took their shoes off at the front door and cleaned up after the job. On time.

Late with no phone call, but immediately responded to our call with new arrival time. Previous job more involved. He replaced a valve/thermostat that we had ordered on-line, but needed help installing. Estimates from others for this job were $500, including the valve. Valve cost $95 on line. Install was $100, including installing a new shutoff valve that we had also purchased. He also showed us how to replace this part without a plumber in the future! Worth every penny. We would definitely recommend Button Plumbing.

Awesome service. I tried to give him more money and he would not accept it. I did have a hard time paying the bill. It went on for about three months. They could not find my invoice and could not show they had performed the service. I really appreciated him coming out and such a short notice.

Overall, it was fine. There were no problems.

For a variety of reasons, it turned out that moving the existing supply line was going to be a very involved (and expensive) project. Jim Button suggested that he would like to try to fit the new toilet into the space without moving the line. I was skeptical, but Jim got it to work! His hunch and professional finesse saved me quite a bit of money.

Very happy with service. Jim's wife talked to be on the phone prior to my buying the sink and faucet and reassured me about finding the right thing (it can be confusing and overwhelming to choose a simple sink!) Jim arrived on time, removed his shoes, was very polite and did the job. When he realized that the granite needed to be cut, he told me he could do it but would prefer not to because that's not his area of expertise. He called someone else to do that part of it. That person came and went quickly. Jim's son came and did the final install. The next morning there was water under the sink. His son returned at 7:30 a.m. and discovered a major split in the plastic pipe that he had gotten out of a new package. He replaced that and that was it. The price was right and everyone concerned could not have been nicer or more helpful. This is hte first time I've used Ange's list and I'm very happy with the results.

When I called Jim Button at Button Plumbing, his wife answered. She was very pleasant and helpful. When asked, she quoted his rate as $100.00/hr. and said that if he brought a helper, the helper's rate would be $50.00/hr. I agreed that this was fine. Since this was not an emergency, we scheduled for three days in the future. Jim was on time and arrived ready to go to work. The stop valve replacements went quickly, but the installation of the shower valving was quite complicated with multiple short runs of twisting and turning half-inch copper tubing to get the water to go where it was needed. In the end, the job came out just the way I wanted. Jim is not only a seasoned and skilled craftsman, but a very pleasant personality as well.

It was great, Jim was able to replace the hose bib washer without cutting a hole in my wall. He arrived on time and completed the job within the hour. It was so nice to see how prompt this company was, and trustworthy. I feel so good I have found a honest and fair plumbing company that I can call for repairs.
