Description of Work: The first go-around didn't figure in the connection to the dishwasher, so it flooded. He came back the next day and was puzzled; however, he called a more experienced guy who explained what to do. He did it and it's fine. I liked the worker.

Description of Work: We had access issues with a steep, tight staircase to the service access to clean out side sewer pipes, so they were very up front about charging $100 extra for the access issues. I agreed because their plumber was very professional and I had confidence he would get the job done. He lugged that machine down into our basement and took care of everything in the time alloted. And now I know my side sewer is good going forward.

Description of Work: Bob Oates responded to an emergency plumbing when other plumbers assigned by home warranty were unable to come out. Scott communicated with us by phone about the repairs and was responsive and friendly. The office staff was also helpful when gathering information to get reimbursement from home warranty company.

Description of Work: I called Bob Oates, based on Angie's list rating and coupon availability when the plumber I typically use was not available. They were able to give me an appointment the following afternoon. I do not think the problem was complicated (clogged toilet), but I appreciated their promptness and professionalism. And other than that the toilet was working, would not have known that anyone had been in the house. I appreciated that, too. I found the coupon a bit unnecessarily complex to use, but that may have more to do with the way Angie's list operates the program, not the company's rules per se.

Description of Work: Technician did not have proper equip to properly clean drain on his truck. Charged for cleaning anyway. They later refunded the charge after numerous calls. Technician wanted to come back with jet cleaner which was NOT needed and much more expensive.

Description of Work: They dug down to the sewer line going from our house to the y-connector where our house and the neighbor's house connect to drain to the main sewer line. The previous work done in 2011 by the neighbor was incorrectly done (no permits obtained and work not inspected by the city). Bob Oates rebuilt the y-connector, used more durable materials than the minimum required by city codes and cleared the line all the way out to the street, and the repairs are fully guaranteed for 6 years. We are extremely pleased with their quality and professionalism.
