I requested them for a specific job and asked for specific parts to fix my toilet. I wanted someone that could do the job and I knew what was needed. The guy came and had nothing. He didn't fix anything. He took my toilet apart and tried to adjust what I had, which was a broken valve. In the end I had to fix the toilet myself. One good thing he did was answer a lot of my questions that I had since I wanted to learn about how it worked.

From all the ones that we have had, we really liked Bob. We initially brought him in with a coupon and then we still needed to do some work so we hired him again. He was very honest. He told us exactly what was happening and how much it was going to be. He did not overcharge us. The first time that he came, he actually spent more time than he thought that he would because he forgot some tools and because it was bad, he had to come back the next day and he did not charge us for that. He was super clean too. This time, he came because he needed to finish the job. I thought that he was just going to come and do the work but before he even did that, he actually told me that he was going to send me an estimate which I really appreciated because that way I am not going to go blindly into the work that he is going to do. So, he did not charge me for anything today because he is going to send me an estimate and based from that, we are going to decided whether to bring him back or not.

Bob Oates did a large sewer reline project at my home. The price was competitive with others quotes I received. I did experience a few gaps, like the lack of a detailed report and some gouges on my driveway. I brought it to the attention of the owner and he immediately drove out to my home, met with me and promised the driveway (which was just resurfaced) would be returned to it's previous condition. Bob also made sure that a detailed report on the work done for my records woudl be in the mail in short order. I appreciated the immediate response, great customer service and gurantee that my driveway would be cleaned and repaired by the owner himself.

The plumber was knowledgeable and thorough. He identified the problem with our outdoor faucet and replaced the broken parts

Nice job. One thing to note, Angies List price did not include tax. The office called to get my card for the balance. If I knew beforehand I would have been happy to give them the card at the time the appointment was scheduled.

I do not remember the exact date of service. I appreciated the feel of a smaller business where the customer is still important! I received great customer service from all whom I dealt with. I need to replace a valve, which I plan on doing soon so my tub will stop leaking. I have every intent to use Bob Oats for this service.

Thought they did a great job. Didn't see any urgent issues with our sewer pipe, but did have some maintenance prevention options that they suggested. We will probably follow up with their suggestions in the next couple months. Would definitely use them again.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. Everything went fine. There was $67 for parts and tax over the coupon.

I was lucky the the plumber, Konrad, was available almost immediately after calling. He was courteous, worked quickly to finish the job, and cleaned up after completing the job.

They cleared the drain. It worked for a while and then it got stopped up again a few weeks later. They returned and re-snaked the drain at no cost.

After we procrastinated calling them back nearly one year later almost to the day, I called Bob Oates about it and they came back again and fixed it with smile, no charge and excellent service. I cannot imagine better service from a company. I highly recommend them.

Services are too expensive, not worth the savings offered by the coupon.

The work wound up being a much bigger job than expected and in the end I paid about $12000. Bob Oates did a good job with the repairs and explained all of the steps throughout the process. They were also very professional and diplomatic with my unwilling neighbors. I am very satisfied with the work and give them a big thumbs up.

Setting up the appointment was easy and quick. The manager came out and scoped the line at no charge. The amount of re-lining needed was 21', which was included under the Big Deal terms. However, the estimate came in at $4800 including tax (but excluding permit fees). The reason given for the additional cost was: > The coupon covers a 3' hole. We needed a 6 1/2' hole. > need to tie in rain storm drain and gray water drain. I think the coupon deal was bogus. I've gotten two other estimates - one for $4000 and another for $4500 (about the same at Bob Oates). In other words, the coupon deal did not discount the services at all. I appreciate that they didn't charge for scoping the line and marking where the drains are. And they were courteous. But this was no deal and I am going with another provider.

It was okay; it was not great. The hot water heater that they came with was not the one that was in the Big Deal. The heater in the deal was a ten year hot water heater but they set up the one was a six year. I did not know that it was not the one that was in there with a different brand and so forth until it was out of the box and installed. Otherwise I would not have gone with the Big Deal; they said they would warranty it for ten years but it is still not the quality water heater that was advertised in the deal. So far things are okay. I got a response back the day after the Big Deal purchase that they would call me, as a message on Angie’s List so I responded back with a thank you and I gave them my two phone numbers but they never called. I finally called them back on a Monday and they said they did not have any of my contact information. They seemed a little disorganized. Then they were able to get a schedule to install on the following Wednesday after we had done the Big Deal. Finally it was okay. They did not reduce the price but they said they would cover it for ten years.

The provider did not call to set up an appointment as he promised in an email to me. The provider did not show up during the appointment window, then showed up a half hour late when I was already leaving my home.

My shower drain was sticking up too high, making water pool around it. Other people I talked to said that the entire tile floor and pan needed to be replaced! I talked to Bob who suggested that they could grind down the drain pipe instead. And they successfully did that. Saved me a few hundred dollars. Thanks Bob!

The downspouts from my gutters drain into a single underground PCV drainage pipe that circles my home. This pipe was clogged. The obstruction was located and removed.

It went great. It was a fine experience.

He came out and had look at it and then gave me a quote on what to do. I would use them again.
