The technician came out and inspected the site. He then hauled one of the water tanks down the stairs and opened the box, where he found some damage to the tank. He then said, "You don't want this one," and hauled it all the way back up the stairs and loaded back onto his truck. He left and returned about an hour later with two other tanks, and then proceeded to install them in serial. Very clean, prompt, and friendly. Would use them again for sure.

I really like the technician -the operator promised someone and wasn't realistic about time - would appreciate realistic estimates especially in an emergency.

We hired him to scope out the drains because we are having drainage issues. He needed to clear them first because they were blocked. He was very professional and knowledge however in the end the drains are not the major problem with our standing water issue. I would hire them again for any plumbing work. They were very responsive.

Routine inspection went well. The technician was professional and sensitive to my particular concerns about the sewer pipe.

Jeremy was right on time. Fixed our issue very quickly and gave great recommendations to keep the issue from coming back.

Over the weekend, I discovered a leak in what looks like a pipe in the ceiling above the shower in my master bath. On 2/9, I searched "plumbing" and called the first name on the list, Bob Oates Plumbing. They didn't have anyone available that day, so I scheduled an appointment on 2/10, between 2 and 4pm. I also arranged to leave work early that day. On 2/10, at 7:50 a.m. the company called to cancel that day's appointment; the woman who called explained that they are a small company, and two people had called in sick that day. While not too happy about it, I said I understood, and would call to reschedule once I was at work, and could see my work schedule. I called later that day and made another appointment for 9 a.m. on 2/12. The scheduler said this was the first appointment of the day, and I specifically asked if that meant they would be here at 9, as opposed to arriving within a 2 hour window. She confirmed that they would be at my house at 9. Once again, I arranged for time off from work. Today is 2/12. After waiting a full 30 minutes past the appointed time, I called the company to ask if someone was actually coming. The representative put me on hold to check, and then I was suddenly transferred to the Dispatch voice mail. I hung up and called back - she apologized and said that she had tried to call the tech assigned to me, but got no answer. I expressed surprise that, after having to cancel on me, they weren't making an extra effort to make sure my next appointment was completely satisfactory. She apologized again. At this point, I decided that this company is NOT, in fact, dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, and I cancelled the appointment. I still don't know why someone didn't simply call me to let me know they'd be late. I might have kept the appointment. So now I have a pipe that has been leaking for 3 days longer than it would have been had I called another plumber, and I've lost time at work. I'm VERY disappointed and will share this with my neighbors.

Rick came two hours after I called needing a new toilet. While he was here, I asked for his advice about a few other plumbing fixture questions I had. He was very knowledgeable, his suggestions were reasonable, and he was able to schedule me within a couple of days. John was delayed slightly, but the office has already called me to let me know! We reviewed all the things to be done, and he set right to work replacing the faucets and drains. When I had shown the "sand" collecting under the sinks to Rick, he had told me that it was actually the drains' copper rings that were deteriorating. When John went to remove the first ring, it literally disintegrated! Thank goodness Rick knew! The next time I used that sink, I would have had a massive leak! Then he replaced the toilet, making it look easy. I had first thought I would use my old soft seat and lid, but had changed my mind but neglected to call them, thinking they would bring the new seat and lid anyway since it came with the toilet. Well, it was not on John's truck, so he called, and someone (SO sorry I forget HIS name) brought it out as soon as he could. Of course, that also made getting the old toilet downstairs and out of the house so much easier too. While waiting for his co-worker to arrive, John replaced the hand-held shower heads and tub spout, the diverter of which was broken. He also noted that the fixed shower head in the other shower was broken, and said he would replace it the next time he was in the neighborhood John tested that everything worked before he left. He was most kind in letting me chatter away with him while he was hard at work. All was fine, except that the new hand-held shower heads could not be angled to reach me, only to spray the water on the wall behind and above my head. I had not thought about it because my old hand-helds had clicked into their brackets and so could be turned any direction without falling out. After struggling to shower the next morning, I called the office asking for replacements that could be angled to reach a short person, John called me back almost immediately and scheduled another time to bring out "short person" hand-helds and the fixed shower head. He had discovered no clickable hand-helds, but did find one that could at least be held securely in place when repositioned so the spray could reach me. He replaced them and installed the new fixed shower head too. I cannot praise this company enough for their attention to the customer. Everyone I talked to in the office, Rick, John, and the other man were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and focused on making sure I had an excellent experience - which I did!

I originally purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List for Bob Oates to clean my sewer line and provide a DVD. I own an old home and was not surprised to find out that there were some issues with the sewer line. They found several areas that were badly clogged and a few places where roots had grown through the original clay pipe and were causing issues with the sewer draining properly. I could not be happier with the service that I was provided by several of their employees. I absolutely could not ask for anything better. I felt like they really cared about my problem and had my best interests in mind throughout the entire job. William, John, Mike, and Konrad all made me feel like I was in good hands and I believe that they really cared about fixing my problem quickly. The communication was great and it felt like I was important to them. I have other plumbing projects that I want to address in the coming months. I will definitely call Bob Oates for those and I will recommend them to everyone I know.
