Excellent!! Konrad was our service person and he was very professional and very thorough. Clearly knows the plumbing business. One of our toilets was periodically plugging up so we thought perhaps the sewer line needed to be cleared. Konrad came out and determined that our toilet, which was part of the original construction some 20+ years ago, had calcification in some of the water lines and it would be best to replace it. He said we could buy one from them or elsewhere and he would install it. We opted to purchase one from Home Depot. While my husband went to buy the toilet, Konrad checked another toilet which was very slow in refilling and replaced the filler valve and flapper component so that toilet would work properly. Then he installed the new toilet. Two days later, the new toilet backed up again so we called and Konrad came back out. He said he couldn't figure out why the toilet was backing up but offered to run the camera down the hole to the sewer line to make sure there was no obstruction. As it turns out, there was nothing blocking so we're still not sure why it backed up (it hasn't since then). We had recently had the bathroom re-painted and the new toilet had a smaller footprint than the old so there was an area where the old paint showed. As a bonus, Konrad let us paint behind the toilet while he was putting his gear away and before he replaced the toilet. He didn't charge us for the service call. All in all, we were very happy with the service and will definitely use this company for any future plumbing needs.

After doing the 2" sewer clean out we were told we needed the full jetting of our line since the roots were so invasive throughout the line. Eric also sealed the basement toilet, no extra charge.

John P. who works for Bob Oates Plumbing took care of a problem that began in the fall of 2014. I had one other plumbing company attempt to correct the problem - but failed - all at a very high cost to me. I waited as long as I was able to but continued to have a leak in the faucet. John P. came out the first time and immediately checked the water pressure and showed me what the pressure was registering and explained what the recommended pressure should be. The pressure was high and his recommendation to install a "pressure reducing valve" made sense and we scheduled the install. Since the valve was installed I haven't had leaking from the faucet or any other source. He suggested replacing the faucet for a better quality item. I've had service people into my home for problems over many years but I don't believe I've ever been treated with such courtesy and honesty - it was a pleasure to do business with this company. One added point of interest...since this service was provided I've sold my home. There were 3 offers and 3 pre-inspections all by different inspection companies and without any plumbing problems.

They were punctual. They were professional. They were easy to deal with and they charged me exactly what they said. They did not try to upcharge me for anything or sell me things that were not needed. They did fine. They called ahead of time to let me know they were coming.

That went okay. They were on time and professional and I was happy with the work.

I purchased a bank-owned condo that had been unoccupied for 18 months, and the unit's toilet never functioned properly: it clogged easily, flushed slowly, and often had condensation appear on the tank. I called Bob Oates Plumbing, and the firm was very responsive to my scheduling needs. The plumber appeared within the promised time frame. He inspected the toilet, and explained that the problems I was having were likely the result of the poor quality toilet (he said it was the cheapest available, probably purchased by the original builder in large volume). He suggested - but did not overly "push" - the replacement of the toilet. I agreed, though the $600 price tag (labor included) appeared (to my uneducated ears) to be high. That said, the plumber was thorough during the installation process, and the difference in flush quality/functionality is night and day. I would use this firm again, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We had a very difficult time getting a plumber to be responsive initially and had called two other high profile companies before giving up and trying Bob Oates. We will never go anywhere else for plumbing needs! This family-owned and run company is so responsive, very caring and extremely professional! 1. The faucet would have (apparently!) been more expensive to order a new part and have installed. I appreciated John's candor and recommendation that we buy a new faucet entirely and have it installed. He gave three recommendations for company names, what to look for and we went to the plumbing supply store completely educated and with a strong sense of what we needed/wanted. The installation was wonderful - they cleaned up the sink and made absolutely sure we were up and running. Very impressed! 2. The hot water heater was an expense and disaster we had not anticipated. It happened after hours and Conrad called us right away, told us what to turn off and checked back in to make sure we were feeling confident and not worried. First thing in the morning, the office arranged for someone to come right out with a new heater - they gave us all the information on what they had in stock and allowed me time to do my own research (and let me buy my own, if I had decided to). John came out and was just the best! He helped us make the right decision on which tank we wanted, took away the old one - and left the basement spotless! Such a great company - I highly recommend them and have to say that there is something to sticking with a good, locally owned, family run business. They are more considerate, thoughtful, professional and wonderful to work with! THANK YOU!
