Arrived early, needed a second pass with a different machine, fixed the clog. Friendly service.

I called in the morning (hours before guess were to arrive for the holidays) and Susan initially said they couldn't come until the next day. I went ahead and took that appointment, but told her I was going to call other providers to see if I could find someone who could come sooner. Susan called back minutes later to say there had been a cancellation and they could send someone out right then. Eric arrived within the hour and fixed the problem very quickly. He was thorough, pleasant and professional. Everything seems to be working well now!

I called Bob Oates plumbing at 9:30 this morning to ask for a repair of my drainage problem. They promised help would come between 11 and 1PM. Jeremy came at 11:15 (as promised). He analyzed the problem and we agreed on a solution. He pulled a downstairs toilet and ran his cutting tool into the drain line and cleared the blockage. He took photographs and we discussed how to facilitate drain cleaning in the future through the installation of an access port just outside the house at the transition point. He located and marked the transition point for this future work. He re-set the toilet and checked for leaks. Jeremy is an excellent technician. He knows the business and is a pleasure to have on the job. He likes to explain what he's doing and keeping the customer informed. I appreciated that and Jeremy is good at doing that, too. Outstanding service.

Shane showed up about an hour after my call. He asked if the recent rains had caused any problems. The landlord had been up on the roof clearing out the drains the previous Friday and a lot of pine needles and leaves had been dumped down the drain. The roof work on Friday and the back up toilets on the first floor may have been related, or not, but Shane had the sewer line bored out in about 10 minutes.

Hose faucet was successfully replaced. The worker needed to cut away part of the trim on the exterior of the house and dry wall on the interior to properly replace the faucet, which is understandable, but the repair could have been better. I ended up hiring another vendor to repair the exterior trim and dry wall.

I used a Bob Oates coupon mailer to have the sewer cleaned and scoped. Jeremy was prompt; he called me at work to explain what would be done, did the job, and then called to explain what was done as well describe the main issues with my 1941 sewer. He clearly explained where the belly was, the work involved to fix this and the estimated costs as well. Jeremy also posted the scoping video on YouTube as a private link, so I could view and review what was done. Everything Jeremy said needed to be done meshed with what HydroPhysics told me when I purchased the house and had a sewer inspection done two years ago. I don't have the funds to do the outlined sewer repairs right now, but I'm saving up for it. Overall, an excellent experience with Bob Oates Plumbing & Sewer.

Plumber was a great guy and solved the issue starting with the main sewer line and then the bathroom line. Only hassle was that they were running behind schedule and showed up 3 hours later than expected. Overall an excellent value.

Drain was badly clogged. Tenant had tried usual measures to clear drain. Bob Oates Plumbing arrived on time, and worked clearing the drain for most of an hour, Drain is free flowing now!

It went really well. He was right on time so didn't have to sit around & wait for him to arrive. He was very professional. I showed him what the problem was & he went right to work. It took him a very short time to get the drain to drain again. He also suggested Pro Clean to use in the drain, which I appreciated. I have used this company before & would definitely use them again as well recommend them to others.

I got my monies worth. But, they did come back a little later saying they wanted a follow-up visit to fix something that was marginally broken. But, I decided not to do anything. It's one of those deals where you get a low introductory thing and then, "Oh, here's something we could fix for you." I had to pay tax, it was 9.5%. They were good on promptness and cleanliness.

The workers were great but it took them a long time to build it. I had to call them twice to get them to put my credit card through it. They responded to my calls.

I would highly, highly recommend this company. I was pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing for their work. I have had to use plumbers a handful of times and I always have sticker shock. Not this time. My only complaint would be that they close at noon. This means you have to call them prior to noon. They I thought that was odd but for the quality of the work and the reasonableness of the cost, it's no big deal. They also had really good reviews on Yelp so consider reviewing that as well.

Bob was timely and very fast. I was surprised he handed me a bill for $12.00 for taxes, but later looked it up and the deal does state sales tax not included.

Serviceman cancelled first appointment on the day of the appointment- sick. For second appointment, Showed up 40min late even though first appointment of the day. Did not have proper supplies to remount sink and totally detached sink (much worse) when replacing garbage disposal. Next day, garbage disposal leaked all over kitchen. Returned to fix garbage disposal (free of charge) and remount sink but had misunderstanding and did not fix sink. Scheduled another appointment to fix sink - but cancelled again day of appointment due to sick again. Will never use Bob Oates plumbing again.

Did not use the service, job was more expensive than expected. Honest outfit though. Recommend.

Went well. Documented health of our line and sent us the video tape and notes afterwards.

I had just been out of the house with the kids for no more than one hour when my gardening wife called me in panic: "there's water all over the yard, gushing out of the ground!" Dammit, I thought, a broken water main! so we rushed home. I dug a bit in the soft dirt and found the culprit; it was a shallow pipe section off the water main going to an old, unused tap in the garage. I had to turn off the water in the street to stop the flooding. I logged on to Angie's List, and decided to call Bob Oates; it looked like a top local business with good ratings, 24x7 service. I spoke to the office manager, described the problem, gave her my name, address, phone number. "Our technician will call you back". That was the last I heard from them. After a couple of hours I started watching YouTube videos about underground pipe repair. After yet another hour I packed the kids in the car and drove to Home Depot where I spent 30 bucks on parts and tools, and ate some free popcorn. That evening I successfully fixed the pierced pipe myself in the pouring rain. This could have gone differently in a number of ways. The office manager could have said "we're too busy" and I would have just called someone else. Or the technician could have actually called saying he/she couldn't make it. Or they could have actually shown up. Instead I got a non-committal "the technician will call you" which left me waiting for hours wondering what I should do. I don't know where the communication went wrong and I have no ill feelings about them, maybe someone just forgot to follow up on a busy Saturday, but from my perspective it looked very much like dropping the customer on the floor.

On a weekend, i had sewage coming into my basement. They came in a timely manner. However, their price was a little higher than the price quoted on the phone. Worse, they couldn't clear the line after working for two hours and the tech suspected a broken line. The next day i got a call from the office and after looking at the video they suggested digging up the line and a cost of about $4800 before taxes. I had another company come out (one that didn't do line repairs) - they came out with heavier duty machines, and spend 2.5 hours and were able to clear the line - problem solved and it cost me $330 rather than $5.000+.

Technicians arrived promptly during the specified work window. They dealt with both problem drains successfully and cleaned up well behind themselves. No unexpected costs or attempts to up-sell. Smooth experience.

Plumber came in the window of time he said he would and quickly changed out the old broken toilet with a new one. Very personable and did a great job. The person at the office who took my call made sure I knew about the Angie's List special and helped me select the right package. Very helpful!

Had a cancellation so was bale to come much earlier than originally thought on a Saturday. Scott was cheerful, professional and tidy. Cost was as quoted up front.

The guys that came to my house were excellent. They arrived on time, worked quickly and quietly, and were very pleasant to deal with. I would absolutely use this company again for my plumbing needs.

These guys were great. They looked at my sewer line, cleared it and gave me all the information I needed to know what to do to prevent future flooding. He also helped me with a toilet problem I had which saved me another service call. Excellent service, great guy, very informative. I'll be using them again in the future.
